Why men are happier than women?

I received this by email, just cannot wait to share. Read through it and add your points..
WHY MEN ARE NEVER DEPRESSED:
Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures?
Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.. Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be President. You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.. You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too sticky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks... A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of Thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life. One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache. You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes!
No wonder men are happier.

Men never get depressed ? That i think is a myth.
Traditionally as men see them selves as leaders in the family and the bread earners, they get depressed easily and most often then other they get depressed in conection with money related issues, stability and the future of the family ,competetiveness at work,retirement, out of work....... They even get very depressed at broken relationships, its just that they don't express themelves easily. Some turn to crime, violence , get drunk, and the others go mad.
Enough of the serious stuff now Mimpi.
While what your post says is very true , but who is happier ?
I would think of a few reasons why women are happpier
The do not tend to go bald like most men do.
Can sit and read everytime they go to the bathroom
Don't have to run a blade over your facemore or less every day of your adult life.
Can commit murder and get scott free saying abuse by spouse
Can get a man into prison (atleast in our country ) on the grounds of dowry
The man pays the phone bill, the credit bills,
You get doors opened for you
The kitchen is all yours
You understand men much more easily. Men never understand women
And may i ask
Now shoe torture ? Does not beauty come with pain ?
Would a woman marry a man who hires $100 tux?

A man getting bald or a woman getting bald? Men can just easily attribute baldness to wise age.
I pay my own bills. I open the doors most of the time, not for Boyfriend but for other people but that is just me. As much as I like to hog the kitchen, you men can do whatever you want with it for some time and make me a meal... just as long as everything is put back in its place and none of my pots and pans get scratched.

But men bald more easily , they are expected to pay the bills and open the door , otherwise branded as not being chivalrous.
And Panda spanking Mimpi. It's all in the mind right. Scream and scream, man or woman, what difference does it make ? Onlooker will laugh and think you are insane in any case.

I cannot see how good or wise a bald woman would look and how a woman would avoid those sessions de threading herself all through, from face to toe! And, Alok, laws have changed and being implemented quite fast in our country. A man can send a woman to jail on undefined grounds!
I open my doors, I pay the bills, and in the kitchen go mad over deciding on the recipes that the man would find amusing!
How about panda spanking the depression? Men are better in it anyday...

I like the email, it's funny and true ^_^ another reason why men happier and "seem to be happier" is because they've been stereotyped not to show sadness. "Boys don't cry" some might say.
But this is also the same reason why there are many more cases of heart attack in men than in women. Men repress their sadness (also their anger, sometimes), more than women do, and this can hurt their hearts, leading to higher risk of heart attack later in life. Being a former laboratory worker, I've even encountered guys experiencing heart attack in their early 20's (I've never seen this happen in women).
So guys, if you need to cry, just let it flow, it's good for the heart ^_^

I agree mendoza. Women donot get heart attacks till mid 30s to 40s. Its more due to the hormonal secretion but men are having early heart ailments due to stress and pressure.

Lol, cute. Patently, ridiculously, obviously or otherwise perhaps dangerously false, but funny in its simplistic tongue-in-cheek.
This coming from a man (albeit a gay man) whose anxiety and depression are very real - as my pharmacist and therapist and coworkers and family and friends can attest.
Okay - one reason is that I take everything too seriously. So I'll stop now as this is obviously not how you meant this to be received. I was motivated to respond by some other responses that seemed to be veering perilously toward taking this satire as reality.
It most surely is not.

A lot of men, I am not saying all men, actually pretend to be happy, when deep down inside, they are in pain. I know a lot of men who are like this, but you know how it is with men,"Men do not show their feelings." Am I right or am I wrong? Men say that women are devious and great actresses, that is not true. Men, you too can be very devious and great actors. Pretend all you want to, men, but a lot of us women see your true nature. If things were really so great, you would not lie, cheat, or steal.

Happiness as you said is in these forms.. i agree Mimpi.. but these are not the fullest that one crave for... All these are shallow forms...and it only skin deep.
But the real spirit of happiness comes from WITHIN, and this more often pronounced when the act of us, make others to feel happy..
Seeing others happy.. makes us merrier..which is the real form of happiness.. and i think this is what you are doing to your family and in your official work. ( as you have said in some other discussion)
For example: If you select this response of mine as the BEST RESPONSE.. definitely my joy will be out of bounds.... and you could visualize my feelings on the other end..and certainly you will become doubly happy..heheee..

Mimpi.. I am really enjoying when i respond to your topics.. It is a real feeling.. no flattering..
It is not a close competition mimpi... really Daffodil's response is great.. The various angles with which Daffodil has analyzed the topic,.. really i feel that is the best one when it compared with that of mine..
I will be a lot happier when i see BR.. to Daffodil response.
P.S: To other comrades of mylot: It is not any recommendation or something like that but of the two responses, i.e) that of mine and that of Daffodil.. I chose Daffodil's as the best one, and nothing beyond that.

Hi mimpi1911! haha..Now, I am envious of these simple creatures. I have always been happy and contented being a woman but after reading this, I am having a little depression over the number of pair of shoes I have and the number of wrinkles showing under my eyes. haha..Just joking!

Now i know why men can't understand why we ladies fuss about some stuff.. because it just doesn't bother them.

Yeah. I use to love to hear "It will be alright." You know usually 3 days before the $300 light bill is due and you have like $50. And then it is followed by a "There is no since in worrying yourself over it." Men do not worry either. And can never understand why we do. They always relax.

Hahaha! This is a good one Mimpi. I do so agree with this. They can even live off of just shirt and shorts everyday. Oh and they dont need that much beauty products. I mean just a small bit of shampoo will do. They dont even need conditioner.
And they also have the choice to have it shaved off or let it grow as long as they like.
Think thats the only thing I can add to that. Men are happier because they usually have less things to worry about.

Hi Mimpi....What you say is true Mimpi...these simple creatures tend to be happier than women...For the simple reason that they are less emotional and more materialistic,and they leave all the misery and suffering for their better half to bear.......Typical of MCP's...any way I am glad I am not a simple creature and can live my life to the full being a complicated female.....

well this is a new finding for me. i think women are always happier than men. because they are much more clever than men. they know how to escape when there is a tough time is about to come.so they never get depressed, i think men because of their male ego take one stand if there is a break up and its very hard for a man to move if he seriously wants a woman. but for woman they are like the worm, invertibrate mallas who knows to survive much better than their counterparts. they can survive in the shake of god/work/children/family. but for a man it all seems very unwelcomed situations when they want something but don't really get it. their life becomes colourless and they stay at the same point. wheere they dont really find mental peace in anything...Happy new year.

But Mimpi, in all fairness we should consider one thing--[many liberated women would not like what i am going to write]-men by and large are less complicated and complex in their minds.While complexity and lateral thinking and emotional quotient give women an edge over men in intuitive perceptions I think it is the same complexity and multitude of permutations and combinations within a woman's mind that contribute to her being less happy than men.

Some of the points mentioned here are universally true, I being a man, cannot deny those points. However, some of the points may not be true everywhere. It is the Great God, who has made a man and woman in different mannner, so the difference in their behaviour and attitude will also be visible. If one reads it very carefully and considers everything to be true, then one can say that Men are happier than women.

Men do not have to think hard of what to wear to work everyday. They can repeat a shirt thrice a week and nobody will notice. They do not have to worry about getting their bottom getting pinched in a crowd. They do not have to worry about what they are wearing when an unexpected guest comes home.

This need not be necessarily true. There are happy men and happy women also. To make aproper study, I think we will have to go to the psychology clinics and see how many male members are visiting the psychologist.
Depression is common for both men and women.
We could say that men have got some things easier than women, but that may not result in happiness. Happiness is a totally different phenomenon and it may not have anything to do with getting things easier or not.
