John travolta's son died today. It's always tragic when someone dies but this was so unexpected. He was 16 and had a seizure and hit his head. His parents are scientologists and apparently that is a cult of some sort and my mom believes that it's related. When you stray from God you give saatan openings to " kill steal and destroy." What do you think? I just pray that God will help them through this.

I think that is the biggest pack of HOOEY I have heard in years. Karma, fate and alittle luck is about all you can really call in on this. Kill, steal and destroy. Satan has it going on doesn't he? Busy dude that. I feel so bad for John and Kelly I just cannot express it. John is such a sweetheart. His being apart of scientology only makes me more curious about it. Your mom's thoughts and opinions on this is very common for believer in God. I am an agnostic and for good reason. This is exactly why I am.

I do not agree that those thoughts are 'common' for a believer in God! I know a lot of believers, and very very few of them would share that kind of thought. Karma?? Fate??? luck???, sorta accident waiting to happen, is that your view of life??

This has got to be one of the more shallow and pitiful post I have read about this child. Do you have a clue how ignorant this really sounds? Blah............

I think John Travolta and Kelly Preston are two wonderful people who happen to be celebrities and also happen to be scientologists who have just suffered a horrible loss that has nothing to do with either. Many people will call many religions "cults of some sort" and disagree with anyone who follows them. From everything I've ever heard about this family they have always been wonderful loving parents. My heart goes out to them at this time as well as my prayers. Annie

Accidents happen all the time. Nothing related to the parents religion. Everyone is free to join or not, any kind of religion he/she wants. Too bad this accident happen to such a young boy, with all his life ahead, and means to have a good one too.

I really don't know anything about scientology but I will go online and find out. I habe heard that many prominent movie stars are in this religion. I had not heard of it being called a cult biut will check it out in a short while. It is very sad that they have lost their son. I hope that our loving and compassionate Saviour can give them comfort whilst they grieve. Blessings

I have read that in Scientology they do not want you to go to doctors or to take medicines, even tylenol. Perhaps they saw the signs but thought that prayer would make it go away? It's very sad. I see they just had another child recently.
