Cleaned out the car

Well, I'm bad about the car, I really am. I have not completely mucked out the car in years. Now, I have picked it out a few times last spring, but not gotten into the back. I've also been putting freecycling in the back, in no particular order. So, today, because it didn't rain and wasn't cold, the roomie and I went out and worked on the van. We put things in the cart to bring in, and craft stuff in boxes and trash and recycling in the dumpers, we also got out a box of books and a box the pintos that Maggiepie "looked" for us. We put the 4 boxes of craft stuff back in the car because my front room is in no condition to put anything else in right now. But the books, beans and the cart came inside. We probably got over 200 lbs of stuff out of the van, maybe more. We feel we got a good bit of work done, so, did you have a productive Saturday?

Don't you feel a warm sense of contentment of what you have achieved? Now that you have done that job and it's out of the way. My Saturdays are always productive because I go training at my local gym, I work out for 90 minutes on average although sometimes I get so involved that it can be 2 hours in there, on a Saturday I do cv as well as weight lifting, it's wonderful and it's my hobby, I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I have also done a bit on the computer and later I tend to snuggle up in bed and continue the great book I am reading, I love to be active.

This was the most active I've been in a while, and because of my fall, I wasn't as active for the second half of the car cleaning.

Cleaning the house cleaning the car you are a little early for that spring cleaning kick now aren't you? hehe just kidding. I am bad with my car but then I usually break down and pay someone to detail the car in and out and I get a box of junk when they are done picking up after me... but a cardinal rule for me is I NEVER eat in my car. Thanks Zelo

Good for you! I do eat in the car, but I'm pretty good about getting the wrappers and bags out, what food stuff we found mostly were straw and candy wrappers.

I'm not a junk food eater so it a little easier for me not to eat in my car since I don't go anywhere that would allow me to do such things... but even like taking something from the house to the car is a no-no. Thanks Zelo

Today was the day to take down the Christmas tree. I packed up the Christmas tree stuff and then the tree for next year. I also got all the dish boxes to put the Christmas dishes in and need to pack them up tomorrow. I also napped on the couch. What where the pintos doing in the van? How many pounds of beans where they? How do you cook them? I hope they are good.

The beans were in the car because Maggiepie had "looked" them, but I bring them home for the roomie to cook them. There had to be 15 or more pounds of them. They had been seperated into crockpot sized bags. It sounds like you had a productive day too.

I felt pretty good on Sunday, all things considered, but the cold and damp got into the sore hip and ankle on Monday - and my other joints - and so didn't feel quite so spiffy now.

How are you doing today? I hope you are not as sore as you sounded you would be yesterday. I got the Christmas dishes all packed and back in the garage today. As I was packing them I was wondering which child was going to get which set. I have two sets of 8 one with holly berries on them and one with Christmas trees. I got the two sets because of having my hubby's family over for these holiday dinners. My husband had 4 sisters and 3 brothers so there is loads of family. Like I said we had 30 people for Christmas dinner. I also have a several white plates with blue trim of them because we 16 plates was not enough for us all to use real dishes. We use to go to a sister in-laws house every year and she always used paper plates and boy oh boy gravy does not do well in paper plates no matter who strong a plate you get. I keep the dishes in cloth holders/zippered bags and stack them on a shelf in the garage. So they are back in there home until next time we have the family for dinner.

Every Saturday is productive here. Either housework or my hobbies are indulged in on Saturdays (as is the case with most days), and I make a point of spending a lot of time doing them (at the cost of hubby's websites! lol.) and I tend to get rather cranky if I get settled and have to stop again before I am ready. I reckon now you have cleaned out your van, you have even more room to store things. It always seems to be the way, especially for me. We recently got a car that fits our family, and this car is going to be kept clean and free of rubbish. No doubt it will be left upto me (and I don't even drive)to do, but what's new? Our bills would never get paid if I didn't pay them myself.

And yet, the other adults of a household will be the first to complain if the phone, internet or electricity are cut off. Like they don't have the brain power to do something about it themselves. Actually, in my case, it is probably better that I do pay the bills-I double check everything unlike hubby.

well it depends, I have to write research article that amount up to maybe 3,000 words in a day when I have assignments, my stories are more like up to 2,000 for the sites I put them up in different sites that ask for that length, and of course my novel was not written in a day, but I worked on it everyday, my novel is about 92,000 words.

Cheeze whiz, gal! I got tired just reading about all that work! Nah. I slept as much as possible Saturday, trying to get rest because I kept getting sicker. As you know, that didn't work. Ha! I have been eyeing several messes in my own apartment, however, with a thought toward ousting same. Hmmm...MyBot doesn't like the word "eyeing." Maybe it thinks I should remove the second E or something. Eying? Oh, who knows. MyBot is just SO weird; I mean, they let "damn" & "piss" go by, but I can't spell "slot" with a U where the O is? What uuuup?? Maggiepie

Surprisingly, yes. We got our living room rearranged and cleaned. We vaccuumed, including under te furniture. Got the desk cleaned off and organized. Threw away LOT's of stuff. Got a few things hung on the walls. We made lots of room for the kids to play and unblocked some heat vents to make it warmer in that room. I never thought we could do it all in one day but we did. It feels good to get stuff like this done.

Well our Sat. was not productive cause we watched football all day. I could get a lot more done if I did not have a husband who never wants to throw away anything. We have so much stuff that we don't have use for or a place to put it cause he's afraid of (or lazy) doing any real cleaning. My philosophy is that if I haven't used it in a year, get rid of it. Of course we have two storage buildings we are paying a lot of money for cause we have no room for things.

Saturday I was out cutting wood up into appropiate lengths for our fireplace but few weeks ago my car got a good vacuuming which it needed for over a year now. I'm always picking it up but it was badly in need of vacuuming. Once the weather warms up, I'm going to do a deep vacuuming and then shampoo the carpet till clear water suctions up. Gotta love the Lil' Green Clean Machine. lol

I think you are very productive to do that - My car is always a mess - I just don't like the job of cleaning it out. But, when I do - I feel great - it drives better when clean don't you think?

I've got so much crap in my car it's unbelievable! And I wondered where my umbrella was the other day....yup, in the car. That doesn't help when you need it leaving the house, haha. I've also got a whole bag full of garbage that needs to be thrown out with just anything and everything in it. The only thing I remember about Saturday, as you know, is trying to clear that rotten virus out of my computer....ugh. Glad that's over with, I hope, keeping my fingers crossed. Take care.

I hear ya, taking care of the computer can be a full time job, that's why I don't touch the darn thing, if I try anything, it will screw up! If the (blind) roomie can't take care of it, we call our geek!

On Saturday morning my family and I were driving back from Texas to Illinois. It is a really long drive that took most of Sunday as well. So we did not really get anything productive done on Saturday other than driving, but I guess since it got us home it was kind of productive. I imagine we will be very productive this weekend, taking down the Christmas tree, and cleaning the living room.

My Saturday, was not very productive. I am getting over a cold, and really do not have much energy. I was going to take a nap when my husband left for work, but that did not happen. He sells carpeting, and the phone started ringing as soon as he left the house. If it wasn't his customers calling it was him asking me to look up directions. No, I did not have a productive Saturday, getting a nap would have been productive enough for me.

both the roomie and I are recovering from colds, but since it was warm and pretty, she decided we needed to do this, a nap would've been nice in my book too!
