This morning, I went to Scotland for an hour... by watching a dvd about it.
I learned things about William Wallace and that golfing was invented there. Have you been to Scotland? If so, what was something really interesting that you learned about it?

About 10 years ago I spent a couple of months in Scotland. I was working in an nursing home close to Aberdeen, and in my spare time I had the chance to visit other parts of the country. I went to Edinburgh and Glasgow, but I also visited some of the smaller places/towns. I think that Scotland is a very beautiful country, and it was interesting to travel around a bit. One thing that surpriced me was the weather. I was there during the summer, and I didn't expect the weather to be so cold and rainy. I didn't even bring an umbrella, so that was the first thing I bought
I would like to visit Scotland again, and I hope to visit the north of the country next time.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. Are you from the states? I've been to other countries and the weather always shocks me because I'm so used to my home country's weather (US). And an umbrella was something I usually purchase in another country! Haha.

I went there in college. After all these years I can't really say what I might have learned that I didn't know from reading or whatever. But I very much enjoyed the trip. Had a heck of a hard time understanding some of the people when they were speaking though.
