Which living President would you re-elect?

I was looking at a picture taken from the recent gathering of the 5 living Presidents and I got to thinking... what would happen if they ran against each other? Jimmy Carter George H. W. Bush Bill Clinton George W. Bush Barak Obama We know it will never happen, and the elections are over so this dosent have to be some big contoversy discussion. Lets just say we had to re-elect one of these Presidents for another term. Who would you vote for? I'll start... I'm a Clinton fan. I know there are some people groaning right now but personaly, from my memory of his Presidency I remember good economic progress and a genuine effort put forth in our foreign policy, and a good image of America overseas. So what about you? Lets have some fun!

most definitely bill clinton. i thought he was a really great president and i know he and his wife wanted to bring change even back then but congress and the senate made sure they could not. we should have had some kind of universal health plan back then when hilary clinton proposed it and perhaps we would be better off in at least that facet of our nation. i wanted her for president this time around but i hope barack can bring about the change we so sorely need.

I would vote for Clinton too!!! The media always looks at what he did with those women, but as I said throughout the entire thing, what he did in Lincoln's bedroom had nothing to do with what he did in the Oval Office! This man had the nation in the black for the first time in forever, jobs were plentiful, and the nation was thriving, then we went back to this Bushit!

First of all let me begin by saying I'm hopeful that Obama will do a good job in his first term and will be elected to a second. However, since he's yet to take off I'm going to take him out of the running and only consider the four who have already been President. Without a split second of hesitation I must say I'd vote for Clinton again in a heartbeat and most people I know would also do so. The groaning just got louder! Annie

I would vote for Carter or Clinton if they ran against the Bushes! Obama is new so it is tough to know how things will be under his Presidency. It is beginning to feel a lot better already! But that is how it can be when democrats are elected. The people in the streets feel good right now, even with the economy being so bad! There is hope now that we will have a better life under Obama. Perhaps we can even stop ruining the earth! Such dreams we dare to dream when we have hope.

I'm only 21, so I only really remember Clintion and W. Bush being president, but his father was in charge when I was really young. To be honest, I don't remember the first four years of Clinton that well. I'm not a huge Bush supporter, and couldn't reach voting age to vote for or against him either term, but I think a lot of people forget a lot of problems Bush had in his early, even not really including his first term!, had to do with Clinton. In many ways, 9/11 and Bin Liden was a Clinton problem and everyone acts like Bush feel asleep on guard. So, my choice would Bush or more likely Hilary, because she had such a big hand in things, but I don't Hilary counts in this question. So, W is the man I'd pick.

Okay, I have to be totally honest here, I wouldn't vote for any of them. Given our current economic situations, we need someone that has a serious head for business. We need a president that would run the United States as a business. Checks and balances would be checked at the end of every year, just like we have to do for our taxes. Look at the huge debt that has been created. From what I have read, we are now officially in a depression. It is said that because of the number of company lay offs, the number of businesses that have been forced to close in the recent months, it has forced this country into a depression. Now mind you, for many it doesn't seem as such because of the stability of their companies, but when you look at the numbers, you can see it. I think that if Ross Pero were given the chance a few years back, he would have straightened out our economy then.

I would have to say George W Bush. Regarding Clinton balancing the budget, they raided social security to do it and that is why it is such a mess now.

The only one of the lot I voted for in the first place was Bill Clinton and he is still the only one I would vote for.

Well out of those still living I think I would have to say I would choose between two - our current President George Bush or Bill Clinton. I didn't vote for Clinton either time but looking back at things I think he would be my first choice with a few conditions, he lock Hillary up some place and keep her mouth shut and he didn't have Al Gore as Vice President. I think the ideal set up would be Clinton for President with George W. as Vice President. I think they would make one heck of a team. Between them they would have our country rolling again.

I would vote for Carter, Clinton and Obama in a minute! As long as we have hope, we will feel good and it will show as we walk down the street.

I am a Clinton fan as well! I like that he ate at McDonalds and was on the Tonight show playing his saxophone. To me he just seemed like a guy you could talk to. I liked his policies and we didnt get into any wars...not even to go back to the Gulf for George number one. I also voted for his wife when she ran for Senator of New York and would have voted for her if she had won the Democratic nod.

I would re-elect Pres Clinton. He was a terrific president and did a lot of good while in office. He was also well respected by the international community. I don't think some one can hold that office without that respect.

I wouldn't want to re-elect any of them. I would rather take a bullet in the head than relive another one of their presidencies.

Personally since Reagan is gone, I would have to say Clinton. I just am so Tired of the name Bush, and I cannot remember much about Carter, and Obama is just getting ready to take office, so it is yet to be seen. But when it comes to out Nation and Debt, Jobs, etc. Clinton wins hands down as in being able to keep everything under control.

I'm not sure which living president I would want but I know which I would love to have again and can't because he is no longer living. I would love to have Ronald Reagan back in office.

I think of all the living presidents, I would pick Clinton. With the Republican Congress there were real checks and balances. He didn't get to do all he wanted but Congress didn't get their way all the time either. They balanced the budget! I never saw that coming. Clinton is Pro choice so that right was safe. They really got a few things done. What is funny, I don't think Clinton would have got as much done if he had a Democratic Congress.

Considering all the dirty laundry airing out for all to see from all the previous presidents, I cannot see re~electing any of them. And so far, you cannot call Obama a a previous president since he has not even served yet. I will say that so far he has back peddled on most of his promises and that is already a bit worrisome. I would not vote for any of them. But then, most of the time, good people don't run. Polititians are usually crooks out for whatever they can get. Shalom~Adoniah

Hey Tee, I would pick Clinton! Or Carter if I had to. I would never pick either Bush! Daddy Dummy or Dummy Dummy would never be a choice if I had anything to do with it! I had nothing to do with either of those 2 morons getting elected either time damn it! I would definitely have liked to see Clinton back in office! Since he can't, I'm ok with the latest choice! Let's give Obama a fair chance!
