Did You Get Emotional During the Inauguration?

I didn't watch it this time. But, yes... if I did... I would have gotten emotional. It is a time for hope and new beginnings anytime a President is inaugurated. It is about pride in your country.

yes I did, we canadians are very happy that obama got in and it was a wonderful speech dedicated to hope, change, and hard work.

I watched it and actually thought the speech was pretty depressing. I know Americans need a dose of reality but it seemed rather somber at best. I also have never heard a swearing in ceremony where they screwed up the words before. How does that guy mess up a three or four line phrase during something like this. Not Obama but the guy reading him the words. I guess I hope for the best but I don't think the world is just going to change and be all living together happily just because we have a new president in the US.

I am still watching the coverage. I did get a bit emotional. I thought it was just my mommy hormones but I guess not.

I did watch and I too got emotional. It is such a big thing for our country. We are ready for change, that I think everyone can agree on, whether you voted for him or not. He can change the world and I hope he does.

I did watch most of it and to be honest I got kinda of scared. After 9/11 I get scared when our country is in transtion into something new. My hope is good for this year and the years to come. I can see why you would get emtional about this sort of thing it is a lot to take in. Lifes have been changed forever today and we are apporaching a new year with hopefully new ideas, new jobs, and greatness. This is my hope and prayer for all people. I believe that Obama will lead us into great things and I pray that we all help one another and love each other as well. Great discussion and more luck to you ladym33 happy mylotting as well
