How often do you have hair cuts?

My hair now is quite long (almost up to waistline) and I still didn't cut nor trimmed it because it's winter time and I guess i still need to have a longer hair because of the cold. Am planning to cut it this spring but if it's still cold then maybe in summer. I usually have my haircut twice a year regularly. What about you? how often do you have haircut, and usually when?

hahaha!! that's funny now... For me, I suppose to have trimming every 3 months but here it is expensive to go to the parlor to have a hair cut. I am just trimming my hair personally. I get the scissors and face at the big mirror and cut the style I want.. No I have hair trimming regularly but I do it myself. of course on my own hair.. hehe

hahaha am not scared to do it because I have a wavy/curly hair and it's not obvious.. But I also iron my hair and I can see if there is unbalance at the back part. I am doing this when I was in college too. Well, when I had a work few years ago, I used to go to the parlor but now no more. No work no money, ho hair cut.

wow really?....oh good for you if you know how to do it your own. Well honestly I can't do that to my own hair. Am scared it won't do the style I wanted it to be and besides am quite cautious when it comes to my hair. If there is one thing am very meticulous at, its my hair style. I would spend money for a nice trim/style for my hair cut because I only do that twice a year as I don't like short hair.

I like to keep mine short but I always end up with it too long to suit me b/c I can never get to the hairdresser. Hubby likes it long but I rarely let it grow out. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Mine is very long by now; the longest I had I guess. It's because it's very cold here in the USA and it helps a little to keep me warm. I usually wear long hair and I only have hair cuts once or twice a year. I am heeding for a new one this spring when it's not very cold anymore. My husband like it for me to have long hair too. Thanks for the response.

Wow, I had this very same discussion a few months ago! And many people responded to it so I hope this discussion will enjoy the same 'success.' ANyway, I cut my hair once or twice a year. I know it's healthier to get a trip more often to get rid of split eds, but having a hair cut is very expensive! Plus, I always have my hair straightened when I have a cut, o I don't want to cut away my straightened hair.

Oh really? I wish i have seen your post before; I could have replied on it. Well, I don't know if this one gets the same "success" as with yours but am enjoying the responses am having by now. Like you, I don't often have hair cuts in fact I do it only twice a year, and yes I also had some straightened hair before that lasted for more months and trimming them could mean another expenses so I was taking the time while the straight effects were still there. Am planning to cut mine this spring when it's no longer very cold; I feel this long hair is helping me to get warm by this time. thanks for your response.

i use to cut it all the time when i was in beauty school. but once i graduated i hardly ever get it cut, mainly cause im trying to grow it out and everytime i ask for a trim they cut too much off. i havent cut it since may of last year. im getting married in june so ill probably cut it after that though.

Oh good for you because you know a lot of hair styles, so I guess your hair is quite long by now, well mine too. i was supposed to have my hair cut last october as I am doing it twice a year but it's past 3 months now and I guess I this has been the longest I had so far. Am planning to cut this in spring when it's not very cold anymore; long hair keeps me a little warm this time. Thanks for the response.

hmmm i think i cut my hair like every half a year. Though right now it hasn't even been or have just passed half a year, but my hair is really really long already. And since its so long (the longest i've ever had) i don't really want to cut it XD but then again i do because its getting hard to handle! such a dilemma!

Wel I guess we're pretty much the same; I do mine twice a year (an average of every 6 months) as i always wanted to have long hair. And I guess this is now the longest too since i didn't have my supposedly hair cut past 3 months now. I don't like to cut it by now because it's still very cold and I need more warm which i don't get if I wear short hair. I am planning to have my hair cut this spring when the cold will subside a little. Thanks for the response.

there is a superstition that you need to cut your hair every month :)

So are you heeding to such superstition? That's quite excessive trimming I guess. But for some people trimming and cutting hair quite often is not superstition. They are really doing it for some reason mostly w/ those having some hair/scalp problems as they don't want to keep it long and hard to manage.

Well if you have some hair problems and keeping longer hair might agreviate it then I guess it's best to have shorter hair when it's easy to manage. One thing too, it saves you money and time spent for having longer hairs.

I will generally get several inches cut off in the late spring. I keep my hair rather long - it is currently just a couple inches higher than my hips. But lately I have been getting an urge to shave it all off. it tangles something terrible and has become such a hassle for me.

Oh wow you seem to have longer hair than mine. Well I do that sometimess too; trimming a couple of inches every 2 months to cut those split ends. It makes hear grow longer. My hair is longer now and it seems needing some trimmings or cut but I guess I'll wait till spring because it's cold and longer hair helps to keep me warm. Thanks for the response.

I don't cut my hair very often. I leave it in a ponytail most of the time so the length does not matter much. I normally get it cut about twice a year is all.

Well I guess we're pretty much the same. I had my regular hair cut just twice a year too and I have them trimmed 2-3 months to cut split ends. I used to wear long hair too but I seldom make it like pony tailed as I like it to be just hanging or sometimes clipped side-by-side.

I do not like to keep my hair very long so i cut it very short so i do not have to use a comb. My hair grows back in about two to two and a half months and thats when i cut it. I do not have any particular hairstyle but have been doing this since the last 25 years and will continue to do it till the end of my life.

Well I did before; used to wear short hair but later I used to have longer one (few inches below the shoulders). I just like wearing longer one because I like to make some hair styles in it w/c i can't do w/ my short one before. But it's costly too; managing longer hairs so I have my hair cuts in an average of twice a year.

Good question, i honestly can't remember when my last haircut was. Therefore, i'm way overdue for one. Usually, it's every 4 to 6 months. When I'm in a tremendously bad mood, I'd have impromptu haircuts & regrettably usually end up with hideously drastic hairstyles. Haha,i'll drag myself to a hair salon within the next few days. Thanks, I'm thinking "mohawk" this time! :)

Hmmnnnn.....sometimes I did that too. They say that women vent their depression and bad mood on their hair and I guess this is true to many women. But am quite cautious about my hair style as you see, I only cut it twice a year. If there is something am very meticulous at then it's my hair because it affects very much on your looks. If i have a hairstyle that is not good or doesn't seem appealing to me then am very much bothered about it because it takes time to grow hair and have your desired hair style. Thanks for the response.

Oh wow, that's quite amazing! Are you not tired of having very long hair? I guess it's hard to manage and it costs more to maintain it. I just wonder how you keep that long untrimmed. But anyway that is your hairstyle. Thanks for the resonse.

I have my hair cut about the same amount of time. I find that if I let it grow out too long, it is really hard to keep it looking clean and healthy. I also get my children's hairs cut at least once every 3 months or so because their hair grows a little faster than mine, must be getting old,LOL.

Well I don't really know how frequent or how often you have yours ("about the same amount of time"). I supposed you cut it more than twice a year unlike mine. Well it's good to have shorter hair sometimes, like you said it's hard to keep managing a very long hair specially if you're working. Children's hair grows faster than adults' so I guess they got more frequent hair cuts than we do. Thanks for the response.

I get a decent amount cut off every six months and a trim every three but I haven't cut my hair since may when I cut 4 inches off and its now longer then it was when I cut it 8 months ago.

I guess we're pretty much the same; I had mine twice a year too and have it trimmed every 2-3 months for few inches just to cut the split ends and make it grow longer. I used to wear longer hair but sometimes I also have shorter one specially if am working. Thanks for the response.

i usually have one in four months or sometimes longer because i can't find time to go to a hair salon. it would take 30 to one hour sitting there and i always postpone having one. i would rather walk around the mall, go window shopping or do something else, than having my hair cut!

Lol, that's something I do sometimes when I got bored waiting for my turn in the parlors; I'd rather go out and so window shopping than spending time waiting. I guess you have frequent hair cuts than I do, mine got trimmed just twice a year as i don't usually used to wear short hair. Thanks for the response.

I usually do my hair cut once in 3 months and my mom used to keep on asking me to do the hair cut and on one fine morning i would make my hair cut.I would generally ask the barber to make a medium cut.

Well that's great. My husband did the same; having his hair cut every2-3 months. I guess you guys are having more frequent hair cuts than we females do. Thanks for the response, happy mylotting!

I prefer long hairs so i usually get them cut twice a year. i prefer trimming them rather than cutting them real short.I visit my hairstylist when i start noticing split ends on my hair. The weather conditions are dry where i live so split end are obvious. I usually get them cut when i go home from my college.

I did the same too; I used to wear long hait and have my hair cut twice a year but I have them trimmed every 2-3 months to cut split ends and to make my hair grow longer. it's also nice to have shorter hair once in a while because it's more comfortable and feeling light and easy to manage but I just want to have usually long hair as I like some hair style for it. Thanks for the response.
