Some people just don't get it.

I often wonder how much energy is a smart amount to use on people. You explain to them to do one thing and they are not on the same page with you. But rarely there are some people who are on the same page as you? Are people born as the 'getters' or can people actually learn to get it one day?

I agree with you. There are really those people who even the simplest instruction, they just can't get no matter how you explain it to them--even in layman's term. But there are also those who are fast learners who do the opposite. I'm happy for them, they're just the very lucky few.

Communication is one of mans' biggest problems. I sometimes wonder if we just expect to much, it seems like the harder I try the worse it gets. Some people never get it but then I'll think that's true and years later they will come back with you said this to me and it meant so much. Well why the frig didn't you let me know at the time.

I guess, they just really don't get it at that moment you told them.. and they really have to feel it for themselves later on... but the good thing is that they always remembered what you said and even came back to you to thank you.

Teenagers are a perfect example of what you are describing. Quick!! Hire a teenager while they still know it all. LOL Actually, I think it is a matter of maturity. I do know some older people who just don't get it. They probably never will until they grow up mentally. For others, they actually choose to not get it. If they allow themselves to get it, then they will realize how much hurt and harm they have inflicted on others in their path.

Very very true. People are just frozen in time.
