Do you eat corn beef and cabbage on St. Patricks Day even though you are not Irish? Do you eat Chinese Food during the Chinese New Year even though you are not Chinese? Do you eat Mexican Food on Cinco DeMayo even though you are not Mexican? Do you eat Jambalya, or Red Beans and Rice during Martigra even though you are not in New Orleans and not from New Orleans? You get the idea, do celebrate with food on holidays that are not your ethnicity. I do. I think we are all one people and we need to celebrate each other and all of our wonderful foods.

Yes, we do the same kinds of things. I think it's fun and interesting to celebrate all of the other cultures. Of course, food is always good! I hadn't done the red beans and rice for Mardi Gras though. That's a good idea! We went out for Chinese food for the Chinese New Year. I love Chinese food, so that was great!

My wife makes corn beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day every year. She likes to make it and the corn beef, potatoes, and cabbage are all really cheap at that time, because it is on sale for that holiday, so I bet that has something to do with it too. We are not Irish at all. That is the only holiday I can think of that she makes something special for that we are not affiliated with.

I eat all kinds of foods whenever I feel like it cinco de mayo is not a canadian tradition and I never even think about it, but would I eat mexican just because it is a holiday no, I would eat mexican when I feel like it and the same with all the other foods, when I feel like it.

I eat when I'm hungry. I've eat all types of ethnic foods without regard to their holiday recognition. I'm trying to teach my kids about other traditions, they think its pretty cool how the rest of the world does things.

If I have the chance yes I will. I'd like to experience other people's delicacies and am not picky on any food.

I love food, so it all depends on what we're in the mood for. but usually at my parents house for holidays, we'll usually have the traditional turkey and ham. but if it comes down to going out, we go for whatever we're in the mood for. but you're right, we should definatly celebrate each other and all our wonderful foods.
