Do you donate?

Charity. How often do you donate? Time, money, clothes toys, anything really. I try to donate clothes every couple of months. My kids are young so they grow out of clothes pretty fast, so I donate there baby clothes. I donate toys, and small appliances. I think charity is very important. Not only does it help you keep organize and clean, but it helps others by giving them something they dont have. I try to donate my time by volunteering at a hospital, or school, or soup kitchen. So what do you to help others?

I donate used clothes to the local Salvation Army. I know it's not much, but I don't have a whole lot to give - trying to live on my own, pay for college, and have enough left over to take care of the rest of my expenses. I used to volunteer at a couple different shelters, but now I have absolutely no time (aside from time in between classes - which I sit on mylot for the duration of). I also go on FREERICE.COM a lot & so I guess in a way that could be considered donating, too.

I donate only quite a few times. It is my parents who mostly donate on behalf of the family. They donate on yearly basis and as and when some natural clamity occurs we try and donate as and when we can. I will also start my personal donations in a short while.

About twice a year I go through my closets and pantry and donate about 12 boxes or bags full of clothes or food. I also work at the food pantry here twice a week and visit the nursing home down the street and bring balloons and a gift for every senior citizen's birthday! :) It feels so good!

Nah, I'm not big on donating. I don't like to give just because there's a jar or a person ringing a bell asking for money. Sometimes when I see kids on the street I think of how they ought to be in school instead of in the streets so I look for charitable institutions that send kids to school for free and just make a donation randomly. I'd rather change the system than give alms because giving alms doesn't do much-- it just extends their misery.

I would also donate my organs to help someone else live. It is the most special gift you can give to a another person who is on the verge of dying without a new organ. Have you any idea how many people you can help/save with your donation? MANY. You have 2 eyes, 2 kidneys, 2 lungs, a heart, a liver, 206 bones.etc. etc. etc. Put yourself in their position. Make sure you let people know this is your wish.

Charity is becoming popular here in China. I often donate on occasions of natural disasters, either money, or clothing. Volunteers are not that well organized except for big events like the olympics, so very few chances to participate. At hospitals and other places which need help, people from the countryside are hired for pay. Job provision is nowadays the outstanding issue for the government. It is hardly possible for the young country people to go back doing farm work, so providing job opportunities for them is also priority for the society.

I would love to donate in a charity actually. Unfortunately, I do not have enough money to support my finances right now so I needed the money. Someday, when I have fix my problem I would definitely donate some.I wanted to share my blessings to others.

yes i donate clothes and money as a donation to some mission for orphans or oldage people in our country. i dont give up old clothes which is not of use as there are few people who do so and which according to me is unfair. they are humans like us. if we plan to donate there has to be some goodness in that of giving good and new clothes and not old ones.

I donate used clothes and other things to the nearest salvation army. When it comes to money, I donate to our church and the nearby pregnancy center. However, when it comes to donating my time, I haven't had a chance to volunteer yet. So this is something that I could focus on. I used to volunteer when I was in college. But when I started working, I stopped. Up to now, I haven't volunteered for anything yet and it's been a while.

Sure I donate in spurts though. I used to be a Girl Scout leader so I donated a lot of time to that. I also volunteer at my kid's school all the time, and I do typing for their kids book publishing program. I also donate clothing a couple of times a year. I also sometimes donate book to books for soldiers, and I just donated several books to the local children's book sale for special children. I also donate food to the local food pantry at least a couple of times a year. I have also gone there to help stock shelves before. I don't give a lot of money because I don't think money gets to the people who really need it. If I give food, clothing, or books I know the people that need them are going to get them.

I often donate old clothes to charity, and sometimes I also donate books or toys. There are many second hand shops which sell the things that people have donated, and the money they make goes to people in need. I also donate money. My fiance and I have "adopted" a group of elderly women in Kyrgyzstan. Every month we pay a certain amount, and the group of eldely women spend this money on medicine and other basic necessities. It is similar to sponsoring a child in a third world country, the only diffenrence is that we have chosen to help a group of elderly women instead.
