Do you agree that being single is better? Or do you disagree and say that you would rather be with someone than your own? What are the reasons why you like being single (Obviously you wouldnt want to be single all your life). But there are some advantages to being single please discuss them. Or what are the reasons why you dont think being single is the better life.

Haha, yeah, we did start a similar discussion. I like being single because of the freedom. You don't have to worry about the other person and you can just indulge in only yourself... but in a relationship you have another head that can help you out and that is one thing that is nice.

Yeah freedom is one of the the good things about being single. Especially if you don't like restrictions.

I had a lot of fun when I was single, but I don't think it was necessarily a better way of life. Don't get me wrong - I loved having fun! I love being in love and sharing during a relationship much more, though. I found that, on the days when I wasn't having fun, I felt lonesome and disconnected.

Yeah actually being in a relationship you never feel lonely.. unless your getting neglected from that person lol. No i dont think it is a better way of life, its just the phrase people use when there single that "singles the life" or " best being single"

I have been single all my life. Being single for a few months or a year is great fun when you're young, but it's very expensive to live alone. If you live somewhere and somebody moves in with you then the extra cost is about 1/10th extra, not double. And you've got two salaries. Even when you're poor you've got company if you're not single. It takes me just about all of my income just to pay rent on a basic studio and basic bills and frugal food. Other people spend more on one of their holidays than I have left over in a whole year. I never feel lonely, but you can feel alone. It's all down to you. You do ALL the work, ALL the cleaning, ALL the shopping. You are solely responsible for putting the bins out and property maintenance and security. You have to deal with all problems alone. It's all down to you. You make all the decisions yourself. I'd love to share my life and eventually my space, but I doubt it will happen.

It would really depend on how you look at life. There are just people that are happy and contented being single and like to care only for themselves and not share their private life with others. But there are people that really want to have a partner in life to depend on and share their life with them. In those two cases, there are both advantages and disadvantages and it really depends on how you weigh things out in life.

It honestly depends on who is out there for you. I'm single right now, but I'm waiting for one girl to come around. However, I also would not mind being single for the rest of my life. The institution of marriage is a terrible thing in today's society. 1 in every 2 marriages ends up in divorce. That's a terrible percentage, so I would reaaaaally need to be more than in love with a girl to marry her.

Yes, I love being single. I love my independence and the time for myself. Being in a relationship is only worth it if you are with your soulmate.
