Ok yes we all wash the sheets on our beds. But what about the comforter? How often do you wash your comforter?? How many comforters do you have for one bed?? what does it look like?? I wash our comforter about once a month. I only have one comforter for my bed, I use to have two (don't remember where it went). Its marroon on one side and black on the other. I can put it on either way. I love it. My three children each have two comforters for their beds and I switch them out every couple of weeks or so.

I have a sage green down comforter that I use in the winter and I white bedspread for the summer. I wash them aboyt once per month when they are being used. The comforter is a pain in the butt because I don't put it in the dryer (feathers). It take about 2-3 days to air dry. But it sure is comfy and warm!

I have three blanket sets and I wash the comforter when I change them. I guess I feel like I wash the sheets and I sleep inbetween them so I rarely need to wash the actual blanket. I do go through and wash all the blankets when we get sick to clean off the germs. Maybe I need to do it more...

I wash the comforter once a week most times. I have one that is a beige color that has palm trees on it and it is reversible. The other side is just beige with the green on it in a design. I like the palm tree side better and it has matching sheets and pillow cases. I love it!

I tried to wash our comforter in our washer once and the washer almost broke. It started banging very loudly on the spin cycle and the drum practically jammed. I never did that again, and now I give it to the dry cleaners to wash it once a year.

I like to wash our comforters once a week. I have two comforters on our bed and our children have one each. When I put them in the dryer I throw in tennis balls so they dont bunch together.

My husband hates to use the top sheet and so I change the comforters (I have 2 on the bed) once a week. I fold them up and put them in the spare room until I have a months worth and then I go to the laundry mat and wash them. I have many comforters, blankets, and quilts, but my favorites are the hand made quilts that I have found over the years.

I have various comforters. Here we call them duvets. Two of them are filled with synthetic material. one with silk strands, one with lambs's wool. All my duvets have duvet covers, so it is the covers that get washed and not the comforter itself. Also we use top and bottom sheets on the beds. So a portion of the top sheets tucks over the upper end of the duvet. I have washed the two with synthetic fibers a few times. I take them to a laundromat that has extra big washing machines. I washed the one with the silk stuffing once but really damaged it since the stuffing all clumped and is now uneven. The one with the lamb's wool has never been washed. I guess I would have to send it to the dry cleaner. I have been to Europe and the beds did not have top sheets, the comforter was filled with feathers and had a cover. I know they wash and iron the covers of those feather comforters. I would not like to do that.

I have 2 comforters and I change all the sheets and wash the blankets once a week. I sort of have designated wash days for everything. Darks get 2 days a week, Lights 1, Whites 1, Towels 1, Sheets 1, Drapes, throws, and such the last day. It works for me and my family as they always know which to bring to the laundry room.

That is funny you should mention washing comforters. I am washing my son's comforter for his bed right now! I try to wash ours about once a month or so, especially if our dog happens to jump up onto one of our beds! LoL He isn't supposed to be in our bedrooms but sometimes he sneaks in and gets on top of the bed, rolls around, steps on the pillows, etc. Then, I definitely make a point of washing the comforter and the sheets & the pillow cases.

I don't wash my comforter very often because we're in Florida so we don't use it all the time. It matches our bedspread. The base colors are shades of green with gold. One side is striped with those colors and the other side has flowers and leaves. The bedspread has the flowers on one side and is solid green on the other. My husband and I have this little game we play when we do use the comforter. If he puts it on the bed the stripes are on top but, if I put it on the bed, the flowers are on top. Sometimes you gotta find your fun.

I used to do the laundry before but when my health condition became shoddier, i stopped and i just let the laundry service do all the work.. Washing the bed sheets and comforter has never been easy most especially to those people who don't have washing machines at home.. I don't have one here in my condo as space isn't adequate to hold big appliances and furniture.. I let the laundry service wash my comforter once a month... it's kind of expensive but worth it.. The color of my comforter is orange, i love it! it goes together with my orane bed sheet and curtains!!!

hello shymurl i wash and dry all three of the beds around here where that i live about once every two weeks, matress pads, sheets, blankets and pillow cases and throw blankets. there is nothing nicer than to crawl into a nice clean bed. if i ever win the lottery bigtime, i will have a nice clean bed every night to sleep in. lol would be able to afford it daily then. sometimes i will wash all of my bed things up again and then one of the boys will spill something on thiers or get mud or something like that on them, and that upsets me when that happens, lol, i will tell them both, get the bed's dirty again and you-all will be downstairs washing and drying your linens all over again instead of myself having to do that. lol i just joke with them. take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

Thank you for reminding me I need to throw the comforter into the wash machine. I usually wash it by itself because it is so big and heavy. My comforter is red and silver. It is reversible also. I want to get a new one cause this one is wearing out. I have had it for a very long time.

I wash my kids comforters more often then I wash mine. Theres get washed every other week. They have smaller beds, so the comforter can go right in the washing machine. My comforter is a king size, so i have to take it to the laundrymat. I wash it about once a month. I have 2 comforters~ one for winter and one for summer. The winter one is a down comforter. It is dark green. The summer one is light green with purple and green stipes on it.

I usually wash the blankets on my bed about once a month or so, but I don't actually mark it on the calendar, so it may be a little more or less than that. My son's blankets get washed more often, because every now and again they get wet from a leaky diaper. I also have quilt that I put on the bed only on very cold nights, which I rarely wash because it is very delicate and I don't use it all that often.
