My husband is always getting sick. It seems that if the wind blows or sometimes just out of the blue he catches a cold. He is always taking vitamins and still it doesnt seem to help. I dont take vitamins and never really eat right and I hardly ever get sick. I am even the one who takes care of him and our two sons when they are sick. So do you get sick easy? Do you take vitamins daily? What have you found that helps?

I take vitamins daily, but I still get sick from time to time. Although it's never bad, I usually only get a mild cough or something of the sort. Nothing bad enough to keep me away from school, I haven't missed school due to illness in quite a number of years now. My sister however gets sick almost every time there's a sick wave around the school, but thankfully I never get the worst of it. Sleep is definitely a big factor in staying healthy. And eating regularly also.

well, love will make your huband to be healthier. i don`t get a cold so eay. It`s harder to get a cold.He must do some gym too, and maybe to go to the mountain for a week, and there you must do some jogging. When you are at the mountain, i guarantee that he will not get any cold.

Thanks for the post. I wish we could go to the mountains. We live in Florida and there are no mountains around here. I hope you have a great day.

hello miccant i am so sorry to hear that your hubby often gets sick like that. and that is weird that he takes daily vitamins and those do not help him either. maybe he needs to take two daily vitamins everyday. and i usually do not eat correctly myself nor do i take any daily vitamins. but over this past winter, i have been sick with two different kinds of a virus and also here recently with sinus headache's. but both times when that i was sick with a virus, it put me in the bed for two or three days, until i felt better and i was able to get up out of the bed to get back on with my daily life. my hubby hardly ever gets sick at all. if he does, then he has hurt his back or something like that. take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

No, i praise God for that. But my hubby does, although not that serious. He used to get cough easily. I understand his type of work, since it is really difficult to adjust in sleep timings. Although when he does catch cough, i am here to help him feel relief. I gave him cough medicine and cook him some ginger brew for his throat. This is important to him since he always talk to customers. But don't be worried. I am sure that you do take vitamins and do anything to get your hubby back in good health too.

Yes i do.. i get so sick easily.. my immune system isn't that strong.. recently, i've been confined in the hospital due to diabetes.. at the age of 23, i've got the illness already.. i'm positive that i got it from my dad who has diabetes too.. he's been an insulin dependent for years.. yay! a person who has this illness is prone to other diseases as well such as colds, flu, kidney diseases, etc.. that's why i'm really following my doctor's advise..

I dont usually take medicine especially when I'm sick. I often get sick when I'm exposed to outdoors. I dont take vitamins also. I'd rather self medicate through drinking water than to take medicine. I dont think it helps. I just eat and take food that I know it is rich in vitamins like vegestables and a little of meat.

I am sorry to hear that your husband does not keep well.I think his immune system is weak and that is why in spite of taking vitamins he falls sick easily. I think you should get his medical examination thoroughly done so that you may come to know where the problem lies and i hope with proper medication he will come out as a clean guy. I wish you best of luck. Happy mylotting.

I don't get sick very often and if I do get sick it lasts for only 1 or 2 days. I have a strong immune system which I got as a kid. I have done lots of sports and my lifestyle is active to avoid my body from illnesses. My brother used to get sick very often even he was having vitamins every day. Then he started to do sports, run in the evenings and attend football games with his mates. Now he is feeling healthy and doesn't get sick that often anymore.

Sad to know ur problem. If u ask me, i dont get sick easily. U can say it is because of the climate i live in or food habits i follow. Basically i am from india and to survive the polluted climate here, ur immune system needs to be dam strong. U shud have capability to digest even the bacteria's which makes u sick. Following a good food habit with lots of green vegetables helpes me boost my immune system. I wont go in technical terms though i love this topic "immunology" as i am a research scholar by profession. So suggest u to follow a green vegetable diet as most of the plants are immuno boosters and helps to strengthen your body immunity. This will help you to fight against small infections and wont allow you or ur husband to fall sick frequently. I hope i helped u a bit. Dont gulp vitamins as they accumulate in the body over the course of time and then can harm you. water soluble vitamins dont accumulate but has effect on the cell if taken in excess. Finaly always consult doctor before its too late. Enjoy a health life ahead. CYa

Of course not. I always healthy. I never take any vitamins. I go to my college by walking, maybe that makes my body healthy. Try to communicate with a doctor for your husband problem. I think the place where you can get correct answer in a doctor's place.

I seem to get sick more easily in the cold weather months. I take a vitamin every night before I go to bed, and when I am feeling like a cold is coming on, I also take on in the morning. This seems to help me get over it quicker. When anyone in my house gets sick, I get out the Lysol spray and the Oust. I use the Lysol to spray the door knobs and every thing that we touch, and the Oust to spray in the air. I feel that the combination helps to get rid of the germs much faster in the house. I have found that taking an extra vitamin and sanitizing the house sees to help me get over a cold or the flu much faster.

I think the problem for your husband is his nose, maybe he have rhinitis, everytime, when the temperature change, or when the air change, he may catch a cold. It is not any business of vitamin.

Some people are just more succeptible to illness than others. I'm like you: not often sick and, even when I am, it's me who carries on doing the shopping, cooking, looking after my partner and so on. My lady suffers more easily. In part, I firmly believe this is because she used to immediately take pills for everything. I honestly think that her immune system was weakened by her never fighting anything herself: I hate pills and try not to take them unless I'm REALLY ill. That might help your hubby. Struggle through a cold or three without any pills and see if his immune system wakes up. My lady has done this a LOT more since we've been together (my bad influence!!) and she's a lot more resistant now. She still gets sicker quicker, but much less often.

There is this vitamin supplement called Airborne and I usually take it when I feel like I may be catching something. I wash my hands all the time and that may help to keep the germs away too.
