I Think I'll Give Myself A Pedicure...Wash My Hair and Soak In A Tub For An Hour

Okay a bit of sarcasm here. I've never known MyLot to be operating so slow as I had all last night and even now..at 4:00 a.m. Yes, I'm still awake. 
I was trying to respond to many of my own discussions as I still had a lot of responders to reply to who responded to my discussions....but loading up here was so slow, I could have done a Pedicure, painted my toenails, washed my hair and soaked in a tub for an hour with the speed of the pages loading up
So I kinda gave up. Am wondering if all the recent chaos that has being going on here lately (and many will know what I mean)
is the cause of it. I have DSL--so a fast connection...ALL other websites uploaded within seconds but here? Could have taken a nap. So have you found it REALLY slow here lately?

Pyewacket is a sort of in your face cat, especially when I'm stretched out in bed with the intention of reading...he must think reading is boring as he'll lie on top of the book, so of course, I can't read it...

Mornin' Pye... Mylot is running a lil slower than usual but not that slow for me. I thought maybe it was my computer but guess not. lol Hope it speeds up for you again later.

WOW!!!! After reading others responses, I'm feeling bad for ya'll cause it's not really running THAT slow for me. Just a tad.

Heehee..maybe Pyewacket had something to do with it so I wouldn't be here and instead write his book...did manage to write a little bit in it...had too, as he was yowling in my ear again

Meowy Tigger...Pyewacket here..I don't like being brushed either, hey I'm handsome enough without all that fussing. My cousin Kissy on the other hand loves being brushed by mommy...but then she's a silly kitty anyway

I have found it to be loading real slow tonight pye. And with me being on dial-up you can imagine just how slow that is. Here I was going to concentrate on commenting back to those that responded to my latest discussions. Looks like I'll have to work on it more tomorrow, if mylot doesn't take an eternity to load that is.

Well so far it seems to be picking up here a bit, but I found it very slow earlier today and night...oh, well, managed to get a lot of other things done today/night...LOL

OMG - yes!! I ended up going back to bed rather than wait for the page to open so I could answer. At least two minutes before I gave up. Dial up was faster!!! I hope it was because they were doing maintenance! Thank God no other pages on other sites were slow like this or I'd not have gotten more sleep before having to take my daughter to her mandatory DUI classes.

I’m with you! It has taken me an hour to respond to a couple of discussions, it’s really bad! I am cooking dinner while the pages load; I think I will be eating it while I’m waiting too! I thought it was just me but my connection is pretty quick usually and I can browse the net relatively quickly. I have not ever experienced such delays since I have been a member; I hope it resolves soon, it’s so frustrating!

LOL--Thank goodness I have a lot of other things to keep me busy...heehee. I was attempting to be here earlier tonight and found the same problem as I did yesterday...so decided to finish writing out another grant proposal and submitted it on-line, and just finished an article...

Yes, I have. And even now, trying to answer this post, I had to wait at least 20 secs... oh my! I, too, have dsl and other sites loaded fine.

That 20 secs. was just for the comment pane to load. It was more than a minute for it to post. And this comment pane took closer to a minute to load. Who knows how long it'll be before it posts? Going to make another cup of tea...

I am experiencing the lag here for the second day and I am just wondering what is holding up the maintenance work at the admin end.
Just hope that everything will be alright and that it will get better soon.

I am experiencing the lag here as well and I am wondering (hope as well) that there is nothing that is beyond the administrators here.
Meanwhile, I suppose I will probably need to find an alternative to keep myself occupied while I wait out this lag.

I do not know about your end there, but over here the access to the discussions are as per normal. However, there seems to be a problem with posting the discussions and responses. It is still laggy as far as this area is concerned and it has caused me some embarrassing moments of having double posts.
Hope that is not happening at your end. I just feel that the bandwidth over at the administrator's end could be overloaded.

Yes, I have. I thought I was the only one. What do you think it is? People getting into Spring. Does give you time to pause. I am thinking things will speed up here shortly. Alittle lull is not bad.

I have not found that lately, but I do find that if I clear the temporary files stored in my cache and delete my cookies, it makes things scoot a bit faster. try that next time.

weird. That happens to me at works sometimes, and then someone "resets the server" and all is well. I bet itwas something like that, then, eh?

Hi Pye: Yes I was experiencing the same problem the other morning "early" when I had gotten up I got so irritated I just went and fixed myself some breakfast;
Sometimes its slow, that I can deal with, but that morning it was just plain and simply constipated...LOL!!
Tis working fine tonight so far, ( crossing fingers) it stays this way!!

I also noticed the same thing Pye. I have a fast connection and MyLot is the only site I visited today that runs really slow uploading pages. One more glitch that I mention is that when I went to my profile page it is indicated there that I have no activity for the last 60 days. Gosh! I thought they are kicking me out again!lol! But when I check some of my friends profile page the same thing appears- 'no activity for the last 60 days' - even if they logged in within the day or yesterday. Hope the speed will be back to normal. I am trying to catch up.

Well it seems things are normal now and mylot isn't so slow anymore. That's weird about the no activity thing though...I heard a lot of people were getting that for some reason...I would check profiles of people that said that, then when I checked when they last logged in it would say three hours ago, or an hour ago...something really weird is going on here though in many regards

I hope you enjoyed your soak in the tub. It is a nice stress reliever. It would be a good start to a day. I have noticed that it is a little slow.

Hi, pyewacket.
Friends have been telling me that it has been slow around here. Myself, I do way too much multi-tasking while myLotting to ever even notice..... that is during the day. At this time of night I usually settle in to watch TV and myLot. If I find it too slow I'll likely just sign out for the night. Hee, or maybe just give myself a pedicure.

Lol wow all that waiting for mylot to load. I have not been here that much latley so I could not tell you, but I do know it would really get on my nerves if I was trying to get something done on here.

Hi pyewacket! I was wondering the same thing yesterday! I have a fast connection and it takes me at least 40 minutes just to post my response to one discussion. I didn't have any idea what was happening and I thought for a moment there that my account has been corrupted. haha..Goodness forbid! I was relieved when I check this morning that everything is running smoothly here again.

I was finding the same problem so i jsut switched off my computer and went off to sleep. I wonder if it was myLot which was running slow or it was the net connection which was awful. I found that the net connection was slow as most of the sites refused to open. i thought it was best to get some sleep. I am rested and fine now. ready to take on the world. ha ha

I did notice the slowness for the past few days now. I also was having computer problems and spent all of yesterday fixing,Installing and uninstalling. So now that the job is done I did come here last night and it semed very slow to me as well. It may have something to do with the recent problems that you spoke of. I hope not. Here's to a faster MyLot!!!!!
