What's the type of your washing machine?

Is your washing machine is front-loading one as well as the attached photo, or it's an up-loading washing machine? I have the front-loading washing machine at home. I think it's better than the up-loading one as I think it makes the clothes cleaner and have less crinkle. Namely it is good for the clothes.

I have had my current washer for over ten years and because it is quality, I have not had any problems. I guess I will just keep on saving until it breaks down, and be glad if my next one is as good.

If it doesn't have a quality problem, perhaps it's better to keep using it

One of my most missed things I left behind from my ex and my old home was the washing machine! Unfortunately where I am now we don't have the room to store it and to move it from one place to other would have been expensive, it was old, 3 years but I really miss it. It was a hoover and it was a twin, washer drier too! I didn't like the tumble drier because I like my clothes on the line to smell of fresh air, but it was loyal, reliable and never broke down, although I have had my ex had to replace it because it broke down after I had left, maybe it missed me too much and was pining away for me, what do you think?

Hello, youless,I also like the front-loading one,and I think it is great! About a month ago,we were preparing to buy a washing machine, because it is winter in China, and our jacket was so difficult to wash,so my boyfriend and I went to have a look at the washing machine in Suning Appliance, and I likedthe front-loading machine, but I found they were more expensive than the uploading, but they were more beautifull,so we don't buy washing machine, because we don't have enough money! When I thought this,I feel money is so important!

But I think this kind of washing machine will have less wrinkles anyway compare to the up-loading washing machine.

I have the top loading one, I don't really think there's a lot of difference, just that the newer ones or better ones has more bells and whistles. Has a lot of options on how to do your washing. With the wrinkles though, I'd go with the dyer and not the washer...it's going to be wrinkled after washing no matter what. It would be strange when it comes out perfectly smooth with no wrinkles or creases at all. With the dryer, there are dryer sheets that claim not to wrinkle...I have yet to try it and I just fold the clothes right after it's dry, so it's still warm/hot and it doesn't have to be ironed =)

The washing machine our family holds is a up-loading, it has been used for more than 8 years and has not broken down yet, but sometimes some of its feature functions seems too old. I like the front-loading type washing machine as you mentioned, its feature funcions are more rich and some of my friends said that the front-loading type can take care of the clothes being washed better, but it seems much more expensive than the up-loading type, i hope we can buy the front-loading washing machine when the old one has broken down and can not be used any more.

I think the front-loading washing machine still works better, although it costs much more electricity, time and water.

I have those up-loading one, it's quicker and it's picked by my mother and therefore you could imagine that I have actually no say in which one to pick! But I like the front loading one because I feel that it takes care of the clothes better!

Hi youless! I have the up or top-loading washing machine. I would prefer the front-loading washing machine but it is more expensive here since it has more advanced features than the top loading one. That is one of the things that are in my wish list and will surely buy one when I get the chance and money! lol.. Take care and have a wonderful day! lovelots..faith

Perhaps it is much more expensive. But at least it can protect the clothes well and in the long term, perhaps it can save a lot to buy new clothes

I used to have a front loading washing machine but after having children I change it to a top load machine as it dangerous if we have children at home. Seen quite a numbers of accident in newspaper with front loading machine for those family with children.

Yup, mine is the front-loading type. It makes loading-in and taking-out of clothes easier. My sister has the top-loading type, and I sometimes watch her trying to reach down to retrieve a hankie or a sock - looks tough if you're short (we both are! )

hello youless that is very nice that you have a front-loading washing machine like that at your house. i have used a front-loading washing machine like that before at a laundrymat. i would love to have a front-loading washing machine at home like that. but i have an up-loading washing machine at home and both my washing machine and dryer are downstairs in the garage. it wears me out on laundry day to have to go up and down the stairs like that. lol i guess that if i was to ever have a front-loading washing machine like that, i would have to win one somewhere, like a good door prize maybe sometime? lol and it seems like the front-loading washing machines like that hold more laundry than the up-loading washing machines do. take care and have a beautiful day today!

But up-loading washing machine has its own advantage, too. Such as it can save water and the electricity

Mine is top loading type and the machine is semi automatic.Since the front loading type of washing machine looks costly for me,I settled with the top loading machine. And I have no complaints on this, except you have to be there while the machine is running and do some manual help to the machine to get your clothes clean to your needs.Cheers!

Mine is a top loader, at this time. I have had a front loader. It is supposed to cause less wear and tear on your clothes. It also requires less water, less soap, and less energy to run it. If this one ever breaks down I will probably get a front loading model again.

I have a top load machine. Used top load all my life. Cannot imagine using a front load one. Still prefer to use a top load if given the choice. Otherwise, as long as it can get my clothes cleaned, I don't really care!

nay... I did research on them when sourcing for my washer in my new home. And no matter how I look at them, I do not like the idea of a front load machine. :p It is just a personal preference.

youless, I have a Thomson and it is a top loader. I had it for close to 10 years now and it is still performing well till date. I bought it because of the advance features like bio soaking (pre-soaking), heat wash, delicate handling and there is an additional dryer function. Yes it was the most expensive machine in town at that time but no regrets so far as it has never fall below my expectation. Besides, I had a friend who is actually using this brand that recommended me to this. I just feel that this machine takes away the mundane and time consuming laundry needs. Let's the household have more time for other things especially family time. Cheers.

We almost won't use hot water wash because it spends much electricity
