What are you going to do with your income tax refund?

This is the second year we will not get a refund but will have to pay. Not tons but we used to use it to catch up on bills, put some aside and the rest for fun.

I don't think we will get any. Maybe next year for the 2009 taxes.

Oh tell me about it! My electricity bill is gigantic this time around and they're talking about putting quarterly payments up by £80... that makes it more than my RENT!!! lol. There's no way I can be using that amount of electricity as I'm only in a small flat. Granted, I cook with it, heat the water and light the flat but for heaven's sakes... that is WAY over the top!!! I make my own fun if I'm short on money. After all, we don't have to have money for fun, even if it does help with some things. I just enjoy what's out there for free, my friend. If I get a refund, I will use it to pay bills. The more bills I can get paid off, the better things will be in the long run. I am trying to get as many of the bills cleared as I can. Any money from a refund will be helpful to achieving those goals.

Refund? We always have to pay.

I am going into more debt. yeah. :( we don't get a refund we owe. But someday we will get one and then I'll just pay bills with it. yeah!!

I am going to buy an iPod, and a set of Unsolved Mysteries DVDs that I want. I already ordered a CD set by Vice Vukov from the Croatian music store, that i've wanted for a long time. I can't wait for it to get here. I could afford that stuff, but the other stuff will have to wait till I get my tax refund.

gosh I wish I had a refund coming to me, but I do not. Since I don't work anymore I don;thave any income tax coming back to me.

I don't know yet if we're going to get a refund or owe money. Last we owed money. We made some changes, so hopefully it will be a refund this year. If we do get a refund we'd like to buy new appliances for our kitchen, particularly a new refrigerator. If there's extra over that, we'll probably pay on bills and put some in savings.

Unfortunately my tax return is going to be less than I expected it to be this year, but I am in the process of buying my first house so I will either put that money towards closing costs, use it to buy furniture and other things for my house, and if there is anything leftover after that I will put it in the bank to save towards a desperately needed new vehicle.

Tax refund? hahaha! When I bought a house, I started filling out my taxes. Ever since than, I have been paying taxes , not receiving them. That is Europe. The rich get richer and the poor get more poor. I have to get rid of that house fast!

I hope I'll have enough to be able to get another PC with it. I've been without a computer since November and bills keep coming up so that I haven't been able to afford it. I'm still waiting on Social Security to send me my 1099 so that I can file. They told me I should have had it in January...right!

I'm saving mine towards my goal of having enough money to live on for 6 months. Once I'm comfortable within my job..I'll maybe take a vacation.

Hi miamilady,,,I would like to tell you that we are spending our income tax refund on a glorious trip around the world, but alas , I would be lieing We will be spending it on home repairs before we have an indoor swimming pool.! Now thats a thought. Instead of fixing the leaky roof, why dont I put in a cement bowl to catch the water and have an indoor pool..
