whenever we buy any kind of packaged food, i always look at the picture on the box and think how delicious it looks only to complain later about how the actual product looks NOTHING like the picture on the box. my girlfriend on the other hand reads all the stats or whatever you call all that information that by reading you automatically lose weight. anyways, she bought a box of 12.3 oz. Kellogg's EGGO Blueberry Waffles,(those really do look like the picture) and she pointed something out to me. quoted right from the nutrition facts: Serving size: 2 Waffles Calories Per Serving: 190 Calories Per Waffle: 90 how can this be??? 90+90=180 not 190!!! does the extra 10 calories come from picking up toast crumbs in the toaster??? could the atoms in betwwen 2 waffles on a plate equal 10 extra calories??? do you think Kellogg's needs a new mathematician???

my wife could probably answer this question as she can die all week but justify a big fat chinese meal on a friday night. and it is only 22 cals per serving according to her. yet.... if i have one pint of lager i am going to turn into a fat pig. my wife works for Kellogs.

I'm boycotting Kelloggs after what they did to Michael Phelps..so he smoked a bong..big deal...look at all the cartoon characters on their boxes and they are trying to tell me they don't have the munchies?..

Waffles supposed to have the same weight, but very often the weight is not the same. They estimated calories for one waffle, but if the weight is not the same, you may end up with additional calories, because of weight difference.

Maybe they assume that everyone's gonna burn 'em slightly and the fine layer of charcoal created adds that extra 10 calories? OR, when you put 'em side by side on a plate after toasting 'em, they create an invisible bond between each other and THIS creates that extra 10..... Either way, there's definitely a Kellog's conspiracy brewing. This is the first step towards the world domination of breakfast confusion, you watch.

yeah, they actually started this conspiracy when we were very young. introducing us kids to the concept of talking animals. a leprechaun telling us "they're MAGICALLY delicious! (hmmmmmm......magic) "silly rabbit, Trix are for kids" (teaching us that Trix are just for us and not meant to be shared) a bird telling us we'll be "COO-COO for Cocoa Puffs!!!" (ever what's in those Cocoa Puffs to make us coo-coo???) and watching over the whole operation, a fatherly/big brother tiger with a Darth Vader voice telling us everything's gonna be "GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!" but now, THEY know that YOU know............watch the skies for the black helicopters my friend..............watch the skies.

Kelloggs probably assume nobody reads the fine print! Bad luck for them they tried to wrangle with your girlfriend - that'll teach 'em!

yeah, she's on this new fangled diet and not much gets past her. the diet consists of reading EVERYTHING on the box and then breaking it down and explaining it to me, the person farthest from caring.......and then complaining that in 2 weeks she only lost 3 pounds, again to me........thank god for that off switch in my head so i can continue watching TV un-interrupted.

Hi Sconibear, very, very funny...I'm gonna check that out...I eat them all the time...although I must confess, even though I am a diabetic I never, absolutely never look at the sides, ends, or any part of the box except for the pic on front!! Also, I eat what I want, I figure, I'm gonna have to die sometime, so why not enjoy myself while I'm here? I do, I do, I definetely dooooooooooooooooo!!! Thanks for the post I will check out that math...if you are correct I'm writing to the company!! ~G~

hmmm. i don't buy kellogg's products. but i think that i have enountered one before where the product has some mistakes on their total counting of calories and weight and etc. but still i don't mind. there is nothing i can do about it. but i just wonder if they actually know it and just ignore cause they don't want to waste those packaging and they will just wait for them to use all those packaging before correcting the mistakes. and we know that it cost to correct them. and so they are maybe trying to save some money.

hi there my maths brings it to 180 to so if us mear mortals can work that out then it make you wonder what they pay them for and the other thing is if those stats are wrong how many others are, praps they just guess and make up the numbers lol
