Average payout for a 500 word article

It really depends on your level of proficiency in the English language. I hope you don't take it the wrong way when I say this, but you should be looking at $2 to $5 for writing a 500 word article. It's not that you don't have a decent command of English, it's that you don't have an excellent command of English. People who are looking for articles either want excellent well-written articles, in which case they'll be looking for good writers, or they just want articles mainly for the word count and the keywords, in which case they don't really care that much about the quality, and will take the cheapest writer. You aren't good enough that I would choose you over another writer for writing a highly paid, well written article, so you're pretty much stuck with lower paying writing jobs.

I wouldn't say there's a normal rate. It's really down to the writer and how much they feel their time and energy is worth. For me, what I'd charge would depend on the subject matter, the level of research involved and how urgently the client requires it. At a minimum, I wouldn't charge less than 5 cents a word. take care...

I've done articles for $4.00 each, but if you're a professional writer you should be getting more than that. $0.10 per word is the typical professional rate for writing.

I am a freelance writer but I have not sold a single piece yet. I write for sites where I get full rights to my work. For me if someone wanted me to write a 500 word article I guess I would charge any where how many between 20$ and 100$ I guess it would depend on how much research i would have to put into it as well. But if it is something really easy than maybe 10$ Like i said it really depends on how much research on your part. I hope this helps and happy mylotting.
