Is money the root of all evil

I completely agree tht money is the root to all the problems. I think passion for money is important but you sshould not be obsessed with money. It should not get into your head. It should not turn you into a devil rather you should look for healthier ways of earning money.

First of all I want to say I understand what you're sayig. However, It's not money you're in Love with it's the things money can buy however money is nothing but paper believe it or not. Just like plastic is a credit card when we think of cash.If you had all the money and plastic and it was worthless you wouldn't care about it i'm not trying to be funny (Just real) materialistic things use to be our excuse but now it's things like healthcare and if you're unemployed you would need to pay unless you got on public assistance and they offer generic solutions for real problems. Or maybe it's about the rent/ mortgage or childrens needs. Those are great reasons to desire more money but remember the God I serve is just, accurate, and complete so I trust him to help me survive because part of my life is my responsibility as well. Please don't look at it like that just remember you are a person with aspirations and hopes and by all me you're very passionate about it so you're AMBITIOUS Not IN LOVE WITH money.Regaurdless of how much money you have it WON'T buy Peace or Happiness!

Money is Not the root of all evil, although it is for some people. And those are the greedy ones who are usually the ones who have more than enough. In this day and age with the economy the way it is, some people just can't have enough money to get by. It's sad, and then there are the ones rolling in it who'd rather do just that rather than help others out. You don't love money, you need it. You need it to survive. To put food on the table, clothes on your back, and keep a roof over your head. Money provides the basic fundamentals of life to keep you alive. When you lack any of this, you're not alive. There are selfish people in the world today who know that they'll always have a roof over their heads, food on the table and clothes on their backs, but some of us wonder if that will be the case tomorrow. 3rd world countries don't worry much about money, yet they suffer in squalor most of the time. If they had money like developing countries, they'd be able to live healthy lives. I have been content living from paycheck to paycheck, but don't even have that luxury anymore. Not everyone knows what it's like to be homeless, to live on the streets or in shelters, with no money, no food, no job, essentially no life, but I do. I've been there before, and don't want to go back to that kind of life again. It's not a good feeling, it's embarrassing honestly. You feel shameful, ridiculed all the time, people laugh at you, put you to shame. Just try it once and you'll see how bad it is. Then you'll appreciate what money is all about, when you have none, you know what it's like to need it.

Hello Eweniks, It's seems too me if you must ask that question than you might be on your way too worshiping money over everything in your life. You must truly look into your heart and see what truly motivates you to go out and make money any way you can, is it because you need the money or is it because you want all the money you can get your hands on like the greed of some people in this world. As human beings we are capable of anything at anytime in our lifetime, this can lead too great glory or great shame. Remember that old saying, MONEY IS THE ROOT TOO ALL EVIL. This is one quote that is so often misquoted and misunderstood. Christ does not ever say it though. It is one of the diciples that says it, and may even be in a letter from Paul, in which is stated "For the love of money is the root of all evil". They are speaking about greed or an unhealthy desire (which may not even be money but a desire for something else). Namaste-Anora

Money can be the driving force for alot of people who value themselves more then other people. There is nothing wrong with working hard, being competitive, aggressive or even a little mean in the pursute for money... just as long as what you are doing is legal, legitimate and you dont go out of your way to stomp of people's heads on your way to the top. I dont think there is anything great about loving money. you can enjoy the things you do with your money but if you find yourself loving money then you need to take a few steps back. i'm always looking for new ways to make money online. I think its not bad to think of how you can earn money as long as you do it in a decent way. We all need money to provide the things we want and need in life. If you already have lots of money, it is now a choice on how you gonna spend it: is it for the good or evil?.Some say that they will use them to help the poorest of the poor and its a good intention, while others will use it to hurt others and this is what i think is greed.

It certainly sounds as though you're in love with making money. I know a man who has spent practically all of his life putting his work and making money first to the neglect of his duty as a father and husband. He has provided for his family's physical needs, but he hasn't been there as a good example or mentor or whatever else a father ought to be to his children. All of his children have had emotional problems and I have to wonder if they would have been alright if their father had been more hands on as a father. There's nothing wrong with making money, but don't let it consume you. There are other things that are much more important.

No,I don't think you are because I work three jobs so I can make sure I am in a comfortable spot, most people that has no worries for already money are don't need because they'er family has it. I think would be if you stole,cheated or killed for it that would make you evil or bad but if you work hard and your doing to pay and save for the future your good, so if the person or people that call names have money. Just tell them that they are jealous of fact that you work it and they are lazy bums.

I don't think so money is the root of all evil. This is an old saying that is not clearly understood by many. Actually what I can say is money is just a thing, a paper, a coin that you can use to buy something. Well in your case I think you really love money much. But slow down just always remember that money is not the only thing in the world that can make you happy. Try to love your family or your friends so that you would not think about money much. This is one key to happiness. Anyway when you die you can't bring the money you have earned. But people will remember you for your good deeds and you will not be forgotten. That's my secret in life, that is why even without sufficient money I am always happy. I'm always glad that my friends and family are happy with my deeds.

No you are not in love of money.You are working very hard to earn it.Don't listen to people.Today they will tell this way.Tommorrow they will say something else.You just concentrate on what you are doing.Get to a very good position then people will not be able to pass one comment at you.They will just say the hard work bought him to a good position.

It is very normal for people to love moeny.A person who live in society must acknowledge that sometimes moeny can bring more material things for our life.But we should earn moeny by right way and by our own ability.In order to earn moeny,I take my rest time to learn english to win a certificate of interpreter,althoug it is very diffcult for me to achieve it,but I concern that it is only way for me to sucess in my career and make more meony.

Hi Eweniks, Partly, money i would also consider as a root of evil. Yes we need money so as to control our resources and change our behaviors in life where we can't just simply get what we need/want unless we work hard for it. However, times are there when we can not really get/have a thing despite of our efforts working hard to get or have that something, we tend to do an unfavorable attitude only to be able to get the thing especially when it is a necessity for us. On the other hand, if only we do not need to give something(money) in return to have the thing these crimes would not happen anymore but there's always the negative effect. Further, the existence of money created social differences among the people where it was a perception that the more money you have the more powerful you are. It created the idea that you are superior over the others if you have more money. Insecurity grows and some individuals also wanted to be like them so they do something unethical just to be able to achieve that thing. ya,i feel that sometimes money can be the root evil.Everytime when i flip open the newspaper,they tends to be cases related to money,for example,workers take their company's money and all that.For your case,you are working hard and your hardwork reward you with money.i think that everybody is in love with money cause without money,we can't do most of the thing.
