Woooo Hooooo! I had my first internet sale from my new shop at etsy! As you may or may not know, I have finally set up a shop there selling some of my homemade and personally designed crafts. I had a notice last night that someone purchased two of my pins! I'm so excited! While it's certainly not a lot of money, it makes me feel good to know that someone actually likes and appreciates some of my talent. That's a great feeling! Now... it's your turn. Go ahead. Congratulate yourself for something today!! It could be a small thing or a really significant thing. ........ go ahead and brag on yourself a bit!! What are you proud and/or excited about today?

Hi ya rocketj1 Big CONGRATULATIONS to you, well done, that sure must make you feel really good as I can see from your post! I suppose the only thing I can congratulate myself on and that is my son's birthday. I managed to get a cake done, get the right gifts for him and make sure he had a good time. I think I deserve a pat on the back for that. I know it wasn't today or even yesterday but I think it still counts hahahaha . PM me the link to you shop, I would like to have a look, do you mail overseas? LOL

Thanks!! I put my link on my profile page here on myLot. I have to check into shipping rates a bit first before I open things up to other countries at this moment. Starting small. Did your cake taste good after all the hard work? You SHOULD be proud of yourself for the birthday things! That's hard work!

I answered this post and very carefully managed to lose it! Many many congratulations - this is such good news and a big boost to your self esteem knowing that your work is wanted and appreciated. It is ownderful news. Waht am I proud of today? I stood my ground with my boss as he was insinuating that I was lying when I said that an email I sent to him had been returned. He wwas shouting at me whilst I was at the bank fdoing the pay bbill but I held my ground and quietly told him that I would re send the email when I returnewd to office to show him that it had been returned. when I re sent it I felt good that I had stood my ground. Have a great day.

That man NEEDS the Lord! He has a big problem if he thinks that YOU (of all people!) are dishonest! He has some major anger issues that I think need spiritual answers!

Soooo excited for you!!! Not today but recently I finished a large twin sized jean quilt for my sister-in-law. It turned out great, the first jean quilt I've done. I happened to find John Deere camo material for the back. The camo is in the shape of tractors, really cool, especially for them. Now I need to start on a quilt for my husband.

Thanks:) Wow! That sounds really cute! I wish that I was more of a seamstress. I'm really just a hand stitcher. I'm hoping to purchase a sewing machine next year and try to get into some other things. You must be very talented and I'm sure your SIL will be very happy!

I have sold off and on for a couple of years. Then last Sept. I decided to get serious with it. I did real good before Christmas, I even became a power seller. This year sales are not so good, people are holding onto their money. After this month I probably won't be able to keep my power seller status. I will stick to it though, I won't let that discourage me. The economy just has to pick up.

Hey....good on you....you GO! Certainly can see that it has lifted your spirits, and that's all that matters...isn't it! In today's economic situation...making a sale for something that is not a staple of life is a MAJOR COUP! Seems like you made the right choice with etsy! I congratulate myself when I make it thru the day without a major stressor! So many are truly good ones! YOU...have a superlative weekend...and let's hear that cash register ringing up those sales. Cheers!

Here I am butting in...reading your posts, I see that you are thinking about going Global with your sales.....and that I congratulate you for! But..and there is always a but, do spend a lot of time doing a thorough Customs investigation, as Customs can be a royal nightmare! I was a Customs Controller Repco (a company who's parent is in Australia)....but I sorced & imported from third world countries, and there is trade embargos..the list goes on & on! Just make sure that any/all the products you use in your creations are not "embargoed!" Just one little thing in the entire creation can tie it up in customs! Some countries have easier trade practices than others, so each country will have to be researched individually! YOU GOGIRL!!!! Anything I can do to help...please let me KNOW!Cheers!

My reason for being proud today is quite pathetic actually. I am 19 and I live with my grandparents and I am proud of myself because I left my boyfriend's house and came home at 11:30 instead of 2 am. Yes, I know - not something to be so proud of. But I am.

Thanks! Ha ha. It's nice to have it confirmed. Now I feel even more proud. And you're right, most 19 year olds wouldn't even care if they were out late. But then again, I'm not most 19 year olds.

Actually, you SHOULD be proud of that! That is a sign of maturity. Not all 19 year olds would do that OR be proud of it! Good job, kiddo!

good for you. i'm so glad. know u were waiting for that first sale. the only thing i accomplished today was going to the grocery & wal-mart. i had to literally make myself go. i was about out of everything. i'm glad that behind me. i know that sounds silly but it's quite a chore for me to get them in the house once i get them home. i'm so glad for you. i know you'll sell alot more.

i like to sell something online too. but i have nothing to sell as of the moment. i don't have any old gadgets to sell cause i don't own any gadget at all. anyways, i think it would be really cool not only for the money for the satisfaction of having to sell successfully online. i have no idea how do you sell stuff online and how you will receive payment and how you will send the item.

Congratulations. I like to surf on sites for little crafts, and have the intent to set up a shop, or just load on some stuff I made. My neighbor urged me to help her sell her handmade crafts, like scarves, beeds, bags, but I have not made up my mind. Mainly it is the technology. I am very slow to learn and not confident enough. I would learn and read more from online sellers to kick up some day.

I think etsy would be a good site for you to browse and look for tips. Even if you don't set up shop there, you can learn a lot by just looking around a bit. Good luck!
