If so what was the best one that you used... I use whitening tooth paste, I have used the gels... and I am considering the crest strips...but I havent had the best of luck with the stuff I have already used...not that my teeth are that bad, but I think they could be better for sure... what have you used and did it work? ... and how long does it work for...did you have to repeat it over and over through the years??

I have tried Crest, but it didn't work as many people in this discussion seems to be saying. What I have found useful is a toothpaste called Blanx that is made in Italy from Artic moss. It is very effective and good

i just got a sample of those white strips plus a $10 coupon from walmart.com. i haven't tried them yet. i used whitening toothpaste and didn't notice a difference. i could never use that gel that comes with the apparatus that you sleep with, i have a bad gag reflex. i read that regular peroxide mixed with baking soda works as well if not better than anything you can buy. unfortunately being a smoker and not a heavy one and a coffee drinker, i doubt anything will work on me.

it doesn't taste good but all you do is make a paste out of it. it does work. and it is cheap, i mean peroxide costs like a dollar a bottle and baking soda is less than that. it goes a long way. good luck, let me know what you think

Hi bookreadermom08, I haven't really bought any product specifically to whiten my teeth that costs a significant bit. What I have done is to use those toothpastes that claim to have whitening capability. They cost the same as normal toothpastes so I just buy them and use them alternatively with the normal ones. Cheers!

I used some teeth whitening strips once. They were terrible, they totally stuck to my teeth and took forever to get off.

I have used whitening toothpastes, colgate plaque, and baking soda. They have not really made my teeth white as i think my teeth is really sporting a yellowish enamel, but it made me feel cleaner. You might want to try going to the dentist to have a whitening treatment. However, I am concerned that it may change the strength of my teeth. Good day!

I don't think there is much we can do. Turning yellow... that's something inevitable that comes with age.

I have not used them because my dentist had told me that they can weaken your teeth if you over use them. Not that I would plan on becoming "addicted" to them but I have heard of people who use the strips everyday! My teeth are very sensitive and I heard that can be a, so called, side effect of whitening products.

I use whitening toothpaste everyday but once in a while I use the crest whitening strips. They work but you have to be very careful. I used it for about a week and my teeth started to hurt so now I just use it every now and then to keep my teeth white and you can tell the difference with just one use. One box last me a really long time and if you watch in the newspaper sometimes they come out with coupons for up to $10 off and walgreens or CVS have them on sale sometimes. In fact at CVS on 3/29 there is will be a sale on crest advanced seal inside the package is a 7.00 coupon but you may want to ask your store before tearing open packages. Good luck.

I have tried the crest strip, I didn't use them long enough to tell a difference. I think they would have worked if I had actually used them. I just tried one or two to see what they was like. Seems like a cheaper home remedy would work just as good.

I have used Crest White strips. They work fine enough for the price. No I haven't repeated. I will probably go the dentist route next time. Or just cut back on the coffee.

I am surprised to see how many have used the crest strips but pretty much everyone that has used them said it worked for them... that is pretty good odds....I am going to look for a coupon if they have one. thanks for the response.

No I have not. I thought about it once but my dentist told me that they were bad for my teeth. He said they removed the enamel and that damaged the teeth and made it easier for decay to set in and destroy the teeth. He also said that teeth are not supposed to be white, their natural colour is cream. I used to smoke and I drink coffee but I am not prepared to risk the health of my teeth to make them look white. I know how hard it can be when there are no natural teeth for chewing and I am trying to keep mine for as long as I can.

Hey there! Yeah, I used whitening product to whiten my teeth. I used whitening tooth paste and I'm happy with the result it gave me. I use that tooth paste everyday for more than two months before I finally see good results. It really whitens your teeth. Now I'm not using it anymore. I just use regular tooth paste. What's more important to me now is taking good care of my teeth. Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

I tried the Crest Strips. They did make my teeth whiter, but they're expensive and a bother, so I don't use them anymore.

I have used the crest gel strips and they worked pretty well. I was impressed. But they are kind of pricey for whitening that doesn't last unless you keep doing it. I now use whitening mouth wash every night and need to get the toothpaste. I have also cut back on coffee and things that can stain my teeth. I think it's different for everyone because my sister used the same crest strips and they did not work for her. In fact, she found out her lips were badly allergic to them

oh my gosh I never thought about having an allergic reaction to the strips, oh that could be bad....so sorry for your sister. thanks for the information and responding.

I have never used a product for my teeth because I don't have to. Not to brag but I have pearly whites naturally I don't drink coffee and I don't smoke. I have always loved to brush my teeth since I was a tiny tot and now I don't have a problem with my teeth being off white so I probably shouldn't have commented on this discussion but I had to sorry..........Great Day!

when iam 16 years old my teeth are yellow in color due to poverty but as we recovered from poverty i used a amway product which cost me Rs.110 rupees but of no use and the dentist helped me. So,no product can whiten you teeth but a dentist can do

I've used whitening tooth pastes, and gels, and I've even used the crest strips, and the best one that worked were the strips, they do work, I only used one box of them but I could tell that my teeth were whiter, but I think for it to last you probably need to use more than one box. After one box I quit using them they can get expensive. My dental hygienist told me that the dentist she worked for before always had really white teeth, she asked her what she used to whiten her teeth, and she told her she rinses with peroxide everyday, and that she's done it for years, you just have to get used to the taste of it, she said it works for her. I haven't tried it yet, I don't know if I could get past the peroxide taste..

All that stuff has peroxide and if you used hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash, twice per day, it would help keep teeth white. But whitening them too much actually weakens the teeth and causes other problems. We were NOT meant to have pure white teeth. It is not natural.
