Yet one of my friends here told me about this a few years ago, and I was also reading this in AOL House cleaning Tips. I usually get mind at the dollar store, or you can use any Mouth Wash. They also said use a couple of Alkazeler Tablets and leave in for 15 mins. Another Thing, Pumicestone is good for getting stains from your Tub. Anymore house hold tips are very welcome here. Dryer Sheets are good to Clean Pots, let it soak all night in water with the Dryer Sheets. Thanks!

Those are some pretty good tips that I didn't know about. Vinegar seems to be an all around good substance, I don't remember all of what I've read but I've heard that people used to drink the stuff straight. Vinegar is a good stain remover too... http://www.vinegartips.com/

Thanks for the tips. Didn't know dryer sheets could do that. I just use a food scraper I got from Pampered Chef to scrap the caked on food. I would think Pumicestone would scratch your tub. I don't know if I would try it. The mouth wash idea I do like. It not only cleans the toilet but makes it smell fresh too.

Used dryer sheets are good to wipe on the tv screen, it helps repel dust. We all know the tv screen attracks the dust. Hair spray is good to use to get an ink stain out.

You can also sprinkle baking soda (about 1/2 cup) let it sit for a few minutes and then add 1 cup vinegar. It will start fizziling and after that you can scrub it clean. I just wrote an article on e-how on making your own cleaning supplies. You can also make your own furniture polish by mixing about 1/4 cup vinegar with a few drops of olive oil.

I had heard about using a pumice stone for the inside of the toilet too. I used it once and it scratched the toilet up. Bad idea. I'll have to try the mouthwash idea for the toilet.

yup! unfortunately, its way expensive than your regular toilet cleaners. so what's the point of using it. aren't we suppose to make things easier and cheaper? we should save up.. by the way, water with white vinegar and baking soda is the simpliest, most innovative, ecofriendly, and cheapest... try it...

i can add that for unclogging your toilet all you need is NaOH sodium hydroxide 80=90% anyhydrous and leave it on for 2 hours...it always works. Sincerely speaking this mouthwash thing is really cool..it kinda makes me lough you don't think of the toilet when you talk about mouthwashes ;). In any case mouthwashes are effective antibacterial agents.

Doesn't that mean you'd be using a more expensive toilet cleaner if you were to opt for your mouth wash :P You can also use sodas to clean your toilet. The acid content is so high that it's just as good as other toilet cleaners. So if you have left over Coke or Pepsi, pour it into the toilet bowl and let it set for around 10-20 minutes then just flush it :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!
