I tried to avoid buying any Easter candy

Because I knew I would end up eating it all. I only bought one bag, and it is almost gone, it is my favorite, malt ball eggs. Do you have a favorite Easter candy? Do you overindulge in candy when you buy it?

I am about eighty pounds too late, and I have yet to find stuff that I do not like.

I buy sweets for the kids, but not for me. My weakness is for highly coloured, highly sugared jelly sweeties like cola bottles and the like. I don't tend to buy them for the kids though as I'm sure they can't be good for them. As a result, I don't get to eat them much either :-(

No kids here to buy for now. I have to just admit the stuff is for me, if I buy it.

Oh how I love malted milk balls! They are a weakness for me too. I passed them up this year. However, I have purchased several Cadbury Caramel Eggs. So bad but so good!

For me the Cadbury eggs are sort of self limiting. Good thing. I would be in even worse shape.

The only way I could avoid eating too much Easter candy was to not buy any at all. So I didn't, but it was tempting. I like Cadbury eggs, and the birds egg gum, plus most things sour like sweet tarts. I have to confess I went in and bought some jelly beans made in colors for Easter a couple of weeks ago. But after the fifth jelly bean I chastised myself, and through the rest of them away. I was proud of myself.

My indulgence for non holidays is to buy a bag of peanut M&M's. Then I melt them in my mouth one at a time. Usually seven is plenty to satisfy me. I get in trouble when I am stressed and eat my treats up fast.

I like easter candy but my husband goes crazy when buying candy for the kids. We have 2 huge buckets filled with candy and we didnt' even get all the candy yet from everyone who always gives to my kids so I guess we better get busy eating the candy up lol. I like to change things up and find other things to stick in the easter baskets like fruit snacks and juice boxes and those little cakes made by little debbie. My favorite candy is Dove chocolate with almonds is the best ever.

It sounds like a good approach, the different treats. I bought my grandson little hot wheels cars.

I think I recognize your icon on mylot as something I have seen on gather before. Am I correct? I have not bought any Easter candy to actually have or give as a gift for Easter. When I was hungry and grumpy shopping at Wal-mart a few weeks ago I picked up a package of 6 Reece's peanut butter eggs. I let my son have half of one and I ate the rest lol. They are my favorite candy by far! They are so good. I figured the taste of them being so good would help improve my mood. I can't remember now though if it actually worked or not. I don't buy my children any candy for holidays. My daughter got a DVD and a book and my son got a shake & go diego toy. For my neice and nephew I bought them a dinosaur shape cutter for sandwiches. Then the rest of the bag was things that I got for free and we couldn't use or didn't want such as Candy that my daughter is allergic to etc.

I was on Gather, but I am better with MyLot and I had to give up one or the other. I have been on MyLot longer. I also was not wild about the frequent upgrades and then the last straw was the new tracking tool. I know people can find me if they try, even from MyLot, but Gather was making it way too easy. I did not buy much candy when my kids were home. I always bought books. What was your name on Gather?

I don't know how many boxes of Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs I bought this year - not as many as I wanted though, that's for sure! I could eat those 24/7. They are my favorite candy ever! The Easter Bunny actually brought me 2 boxes of them in my basket this morning :) They'll be gone by Wednesday I'm sure.

My son is excited, you can get dark chocolate Reeses Peanut butter cups. I hope they are better than the white chocolate ones. I usually like those eggs as well.

I'm definitely a milk-chocolate kinda gal. I did try the white chocolate ones and I didn't care for them at all, even though I do like white chocolate.

I buy Easter Candy and I put it on the top shelf of the pantry, then I make sure that I am busy on myLot so that I keep away from temptation. Yes I love chocolates, and I have to make sure I am not near them. And if I get depressed, then I am more apt to eat so I have to make sure they are out of sight and out of mind. Also I have to think of me getting very fat and that discourages me.

It is helpful to freeze the candy, it is not so easy to eat quickly. I know how you feel.

I didn't buy any Easter candy this year at all. I already have some other candy here too. I know it would not have all been eaten before it went bad also.

It must not be any that really speaks to you, or you have remarkable resistance to sugar. Happy Easter

Hello Freind I didn't buy any Easter candy. My kids will have some for the grandkids but I boiled eggs and let them decorate and bring them home..they ate some while here. I do have a small piece of dark chocolate each evening and that's more then enough for me. xoxoxoxoo

I need to go back to my evening dark chocolate. The malt balls are just a really special treat. I also like Heath Bars, but do not buy them often at all. I am more prone to give in when I am tired and am at the store for the ten millionth time.

I only bought Easter Candy to go in baskets to give to the children at church. My grandkids won't be here this year, so I didn't buy any for home. But, even if I did, I probably wouldn't eat it. I hardly ever eat much candy. We keep some of the small bite size pieces for my husband to take to work and I will occasionally eat a piece of it. But I'm not a big candy eater like I was when I was younger.

I think if you have to have it around it is best to buy what you do not eat. I just like it all. Some is easier to resist, though.

I do overindulge when I buy any candy so I only buy chocolate and then only the very dark kind, that way i can fool myself into thinking i am eating something good for me. The problem is not to eat the whole package in one week.

We do pretty well with one piece of dark chocolate a night. It is those filled ones that really call my name, though

Do I over indulge! I love cotton candy, real sickness about loving the stuff, pure spun sugar after all... I can happily eat a LOT of it! I like malt balls, but I have to be careful with them because I've been made sick on malt before. I got some Nerds and smarties that I'm working on, and Fire Stixs... I like candy...

garden Gerty, I think that is a craving for sugar that the food companies have fooled us all into getting hooked on sugar,I quit drinking 17 years ago and still have a craving for sweets and such but when I fight it I can lose weight,,,, Robert Watkins [dancin man]

Yeah, sugar is an addiction. The more you resist it, the easier it is to resist. Good luck.

I didn't see any in any of the stores where I went shopping! I know my eyesight is bad, but I haven't seen any! These were a different brand than I usually get. I usually get Robin's Eggs and the shell is hard these had the soft pastel shell.

I think the malt ball eggs are my favorite too. I try to wait until the last min. to buy it for my grandchildren. Otherwise I'll eat it all and have to buy more, like I did last week when I bought gourmet jelly beans last week. Normally I don't even like jelly beans much but these were tiny and I just wanted to taste each flavor. Before I knew it, I ate the entire bag in two days. Today I went to get another and they were all sold out.
