Do talking ads frighten you sometimes?

I hate it when I am on a website, and I click on something and all the sudden I hear Congratulations! You have won ...... or something like that. When I am not expecting someone to talk and all the sudden a voice comes out of my computer that I am not expecting, it totally startles me, and my heart actually skips a beat. Does this happen to other people too?

Yeah, they make you jump out of your skin. I usually don't have any music playing when I am writing. Tonight there is one that comes on every time you do another Post. I actually stopped for awhile and did my email and some other writing just to get away from it for awhile. It seems to be gone now. I hope it stays that way.

It annoys me, and makes me mad as well. I hate it so much.I start talking back to them as well.

LOL! YESSSS! You know which one gets me EVERY time? The smiley / emoticon thing that goes "HELLOOOOOOOOOO!" really loud if you accidentally scroll over it. I seriously jump when that happens. A little while ago, I switched from using my desktop speakers to a headset so at least, if something loud crops up, it only scares ME and doesn't disturb anyone else
