The Mother's day is just over and my husband reminded me that it's my first Mother's day ever since I've become a mother. This Mother's day has become a special meaning to me, and I'm really glad and grateful to be a mother, though my baby is too young to celebrate it with me. I celebrated the mother's day with my family, we invited my uncle and aunts too. My sister and I bought a Tiramisu cake, and my mum prepared the dinner for us, as I was busy taking care of my baby. We also bought a bottle of Issey Miyake perfume for our mum, as she's been wanting it for so long. How did you celebrate the Mother's day?

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji, Congretulations (though I am very late). I have been missing you all this time. I thought you would be busy temain honest to your son. How is he now. What name have you kept for others and how do you call. Our side, we have lot many ceremonies, starting prior to birth of child as he grows. One such is naming ceremony and our Priest or head of the family (Gent) is asked to sound quietly in his ear over great feast. So please tell me . My elder DIL also became mother of my grand-son second time aftera gap of 8 yrs on 14 march -09 and doing well. Lot of love to your son. May god bless You and have a great time.

Hi! This year is my third year of celebrating as a mother. I love being a mother even if it takes a lot of responsibility. But there is nothing compared to being a mother. As to your question if how did I celebrate my Mother's Day. In my compound, we have a small celebration and we eat foods at lunch time together with other mothers. It's nice that there is this kind of celebration, atleast we are being appreciated as a mother!

My mother is no longer on this earth and my mother in law was in Kuantan. I was still ill and stayed at home. My spouse and fifth daughter entered a competition organised by Seremban Parade. It was an apron designing contest. They clinched third place. The sad thing was the winner cheated. Her daughter was above the age limit. Had my spouxe known the truth before the results were announced, she would have filed a complaint.

Last May 10, 2009 was my first mother's day too. My son just turned seven months old and I was so happy because a lot of my friends and relatives sent me text messages greeting me "Happy Mother's Day." I was so happy because my husband bought some ice cream, Choco Crepe Cream and some soft drinks. He also kissed me when he woke up. We just stayed at home and we never had so much celebration because we were tight in budget. Anyway I and my husband were so happy that day and always.

It's a special day for you. Congratulations! When you become a mother, you must have understood your mum better. This day is also important for her. On that day, I just sent a message to my mum because I study in another city far from my hometown. Envy you so much...

Since I'm living with one of my daughters now, it's been a little different. When the kids were little their father would buy something. The best presents for me were the ones they made when the got into school. Since the kids are all grown with their on families and lives, I just field phone calls. I was surprised when my granddaughter Aryn ran into the kitchen to hand me a card which was signed by her and her brother and sister. That was nice. The card is now sitting on my desk.

There's something special about your first Mother's Day! You're so lucky to have had a nice celebration. My grown kids are far away and so is my mom so I celebrated with my dad and stepmother, who I love dearly. He took us out for dinner and we had a good time. My kids called me, too.

Congratulations on celebrating your first Mother's Day. It is definitely wonderful to be a mother, and to be doing the most important job in life. It will be lovely once your daughter can celebrate it with you. We didn't do a lot because my husband has been working a lot of hours and was all stressed out. So we just grilled some pizza. I had a wonderful time at Mom's day with my son at preschool.

I spent the day before Mother's Day with my friend and her mum. Both very nice peops and it was a lovely day. Went to some plant sales and just tooted around. Had a very nice lunch. Nice drive to and from home too. Then on Sunday I got an early call from my daughter's boyfriend wishing me a nice day. He was fixing my daughter breakfast in bed. Sounds as if we both have alot to be thankful for.

Hi ya kaka135 Congratulations on your first Mother's Day, I am glad you enjoyed it! My first ever one was awful, it was also my 30th birthday but I didn't feel special at all, thanks to my then husband. Anyway in the UK we celebrate Mother's Day in March and this year I spent it with my kids as I couldn't get together with my mum. I had commitments the night before and on Mother's Day with my kids and their activities and my mum had work!!

Congratulations on your first Mother's Day Celebration. Wonderful feeling being a mom, Isn't it? On Mothers Day, my son treated me and the whole family dining out. A nice feeling with the children on such a wonderful occasion.
