Some weird things today!

I bet he is just buttering you up also. I think he is just trying to push the issue to make you more upset.

I think maybe he is trying to know if you are still interest in this project or not. Or maybe he wants you in again. But he've hurted you buy what he did. Will you still join the project if he invited you to?

Maybe he was feeling bad that he had to release you from whatever project you was working on, I don't understand what you man by project, or if you are still there working but just not on the project you was working on. Maybe he was trying to gibve you infomation to help you find another job to do. I think he should of give you a reason for why he released you from what you was working on, but if it is like here in USA they have laws now that you have the right to work there but they have a right to let you go without any reason. I hope you find something that you enjoy doing and that will pay you as well.

Yes i think he must have felt little bad of getting you out of the project and trying to be sweet now . It always happens in office and i think the best part on your side would also be to talk sweet to him because employees always need to keep good relation with each other as you never know who might need who's help in near future .
