Barack Obama himself a history. He is the first black President of USA.That's a history. Not only the Americans but the people of the world could not think an African-American would be the President of USA. I appreciate the Americans that they have changed their outlook and mentality. Now President Obama is taking stunning decisions. He has taken the step to close the controversial Guantanamo prison.Obama has taken another historic decision. On Tuesday he chose federal appeals judge Sonia Sotomayor to be the first Hispanic justice on the Supreme Court of USA. That means President Obama is trying to make multi-racial administration in the USA.

The first Hispanic on the Supreme Court has already been disproved. There has been a Hispanic justice before. Guantanamo is said to be state of the art and better than the prisons we have here. Great that an African American can be president. There are plenty who are more qualified than Obama. I would have happily voted for one of them. Obama, on the other hand, isn't qualified.

Many stories had been published about the torturing of prisoners at the Guantanamo prison cell. But Obama got majority votes to be the President of USA. There is no bar in American constitution for an African American to be a President. But Obama is the first such President.

Maybe you thought an African-American couldn't be president, but I never did. In fact, I think that any natural born citizen of the United States who is over the age of 35 can be president. It says so in the Constitution. What Obama has not done is prove that he is a natural born citizen. It's likely he wasn't born in the US and that would disqualify him. However, more to the point, he is not qualified by reason of his inexperience and lack of respect for the Constitution. History will be made, but it won't be of a sudden savior to the world. A great nation is being destroyed from within, and when America ceases to be, it will be an historical event. By the way, check yourself on the multi-racial administration. Last I looked, Colin Powell was black. And the Supreme Court is not part of the administration, it is a separate judicial branch of government that is not supposed to be either controlled or influenced by any administration.

"Last I looked, Colin Powell was black." That depends on who you ask. Many liberals claim he's "brown". He and Condi Rice can't REALLY be black because they're conservative. Bush actually had a VERY multiracial administration and he wasn't the only president to appoint minorities. People are just trying to pump Obama up by ignoring such facts.

I appreciate American Constitution. There is no racial bar to be the President of USA. If Obama is not the natural born citizen of America how he got nomination for the President candidate? The Republicans also did not challenge that.I admit that Judiciary is not the part of Administration. But Obama is trying to bring change in both the sides.I know something about American history. The black Africans were the slaves of white settlers of America.I saw the film "The Roots".That is the picture of torture over the black slaves by the white masters. But the things have changed. Now the white Americans are very liberal. That outlook made Obama the President of the most powerful nation of the world.

There have been no fewer than 9 court cases filed that challenge Obama's claim to citizenship and which the courts have refused to hear, so that Obama has never been forced to produce his actual birth certificate. There is a question as to whether Obama, whose father was not a US citizen, was born on US soil. As to the multi-racial administration, many presidents before Obama have appointed people of minorities to positions of power. To say that anyone opposes Obama because of his race rather than his policies is insulting. I would disagree with his policies just as strenuously if he were of any other race. Bringing up slavery is just another attempt at a low-blow. The US has moved on from that sad era to another that guarantees the rights of all regardless of ethnic or racial background. The same cannot be said of all modern societies, for instance, the caste system is still intact in much of India. I have every right to disagree with any and every policy of any president regardless of his race. History should record that we voted for the right president regardless of race, not that we voted for the wrong one because of his race.

Yes much of what Obama is doing is Historical. He will go down in history as the president who killed capitalism and the American Dream if he continues on this route. I don't care if we have black white red male or female in our government I care if they uphold the law... which the supreme court does quite often make mistakes. Slavery was made legal by that supreme court, the same logic was used by the supreme court for abortion to be added in the constitution which just like Slavery is itself unconstitutional. All they need is 5 out of 9 Judges to think a certain way. What Sonia Sotomayor did with the case of the white firemen and one Hispanic showed there are strong questions on if she is the right person for the job... including statements that she has made that raise legitamate concerns. Empathy does not belong in our legal system since empathy is unevenly distributed based on emotion. As for the step to close Guatanamo Bay he's not getting any closer because he can't seem to come up with a plan, which is not surprising since it is a difficult issue but all he's done so far is make a statement and not doing anything further but lecture. That is why overwhelmingly even the Democrats could not stand behind him. Which actually goes along with half the American people... 49% of Americans think Guantanamo Bay should stay open... only 38% agree with Obama... (Rest can't make up their minds) 58% strongly disagree with Obama's plan to transfer detainees to America's super-max prisons.

Torture???... please those prisoners have it easy. Our men and women in service went through more in training exercises... including waterboarding in the past... and only three of the worse prisoners was that enhanced interrigation method used on... and we give those guys a nice bed and out door rec. and art class! Gitmo is nicer than the prisons on U.S. soil. Many of those guys we still have because although they have been cleared for release the only countries willing to take them would execute them. It's all been blown out of proportion and all this classified information that has been released has only made Americans look bad and put soldiers like my husband at risk. The Rasmussen poll found that 49 percent of voters (percent has been growing larger since January) nationwide disagreed with Obamas executive order to close the Guantanamo bay prison wanting it to stay open, which currently houses 240 people suspected of being Al-Qaeda members, while 38 percent agree with his decision. A majority of voters, 58 percent, disagree with the Obama administrations plans to transfer some suspected terrorists to super-maxiumum security prisons in the US, to face trial for their alleged terror acts. Only 28 percent supported the detainee transfers. The more I learn about this woman the more I worry. Is there any way to even impeach a Supreme Court Justice if need be?... It is a big deal because we could have this person for the next 15 years or more. 5-4 supreme court vote is all it took to classify CO2 as a pollutant... I guess we better all stop breathing. But then without carbon dioxide there would be no plant or human life.

Yes once history will judge whether Obama is right or wrong. We have read in the newspapers about the torture over the prisoners in the Guantanamo Bay. There are some innocent prisoners also. Yes sometimes Supreme Court of all countries give controversial judgments.

I don't know if a Supreme court judge can be impeached but I'm a firm believer in "what goes around comes around". If she's not fair and balanced and works toward the fall of our freedoms and our constitution, she'll get hers in the end.

1. He is closing Gitmo without a plan other than to release these terrorists a) Back into their home countries so they can rejoin the fight, or bring them on US soil. Which is bad in a multitude of ways.... but lets look at the true historical perspective. George W. Bush- Alberto Gonzales, First Hispanic Atty General Bill Clinton- First Female Secretary of state. Ronald Reagan- First woman on the Supreme Court John F. Kennedy- First African American on the Supreme Court Historically, this move is on par with many other moves by Presidents. Furthermore, just to make this appointment based on this minor fact is nothing. People should be more aware of her record of decisions made on personal agendas and political agendas.

Everybody has the the right to get justice. The prisoners of Guantanamo are not getting the scope to face trial. President Obama is trying to do that. If Obama continues to do mistake and mistake he will be out of thrown.Let us see what happens.

He is also making History by spending more money in his first hundred days than any other US President in the history of this country. He will be known as the President who put our grandchildren in debt. He will be known as the President who spent $700 billion dollars to temporarily save 150,000 jobs. He will also be known as the President who forgot that the US is a Republic Country. He will also be known as the President who threw out the US Constitution to suit his own purposes.

The money is already spent. We can't get it back. Our grandchildren are now responsible for this debt. He isn't even letting the banks pay their bailout money back. These are facts.

He's made history alright. He's made the biggest power grab in history. He's now the CEO of our banks and our car companies. He's spent more money and faster than any person on the face of the Earth in the history of the world. And, you know what? It's not his money, it's ours and our childrens, and our childrens, childrens... He'll be remembered for generations! He's decided to close Gitmo without a plan. And now this. Do you have any idea about Sonias' issues? She has no idea what the Constitution says or what it represents. She is an awful choice for our highest court....

They can't possibly bring good results. Almost everyone knows you can't spend your way out of debt. All he's done is created more debt for us all and bigger government. We are a Republic and a Republic can't withstand under big government. You are going to see a Second Revolution in this country like no one in the world has seen before. The world is going to see us surround Washington and peacefully take OUR country back and throw all the crooks out. Setting an example to the world of what freedom can and will do to save itself...

Obama is making history, all right. Only it's not the kind of history that any American should be proud of. He is making history as the first Socialist, Communist president of this country. Appointing Hispanic judges isn't making history, it is proving that the dictator can do anything he wants regardless of who is qualified and who isn't, and he will be praised by his supporters as "making history."

First Obama is not a communist or a socialist. Secondly he is also not a dictator.Obama is the President of a powerful democratic state. There is Senate and House of Representatives. His every decisions must be approved by these two Houses. He has also some discretionary powers. Please judge his works impartially.

When the government owns most of the industry and has such total control over the economy, as well as social programs for every aspect of our lives, that's socialism. A lot of good the Senate and House will do, as they're Democratic controlled also.
