For those of you who don't know what a "bucket list" is. It is a list of things that you want to do before you "kick the bucket" (die).I never heard the expression until the movie "The Bucket List" came out. Someone had to explain the meaning to me. My daughter said something about certain things being on her bucket list recently. I haver really thought of having a list of things that I want to do before I die in quite that way. But now that I think of it. There are a few things that I'd like to do before I die. I'd like to to to Mardi Gras. I'd like to go to Fantasy Fest in Key West. I am thinking that maybe, I'd like to sing karaoke before I die! lol I haven't completely made up my mind on that one yet. So...what's on your bucket list?

I love road trips! I would love to do more. I don't know if I'd want to do the whole country in one trip, but I would love to see the whole country. I'd probably break it up into smaller trips.

Yes Steve, I did. Thur we're having a cleaning day. Not till then because our scheduales don't co-incide untill then. I think they were all shocked at my determination to get the help I needed. It became a planning session including who was going buy what for the project. Thanks to all for their help.

I suppose you're looking for a list. Right now I'd like to advance to my second, or is it seventh childhood? Return to playing more and working less. Get my fishing license and actually go fishing a bunch of times this season. Resume writing on my SLIM series, have the series become a best seller, adapt it to screenplay, and win as Oscar for Best Picture of the Year. Publish another half dozen books that are in-progress, at a minimum. Be a Colorado representative to the first USA Con-con. See Peace on Earth. Travel to Space. Elton John's Rocket Man is one of my favorite all time songs. Except I know a bit about the science. See that my wife, Vicki, and I manage to live our lives out in dignity. Be in the audience while one of my grandkids earns their Ph.D. How's that? Grandpa Steve

The Japanese have a common practice of not finishing a task so they have reasons for living. And, I think, a superstition that you finish things, you die... Maybe I was Japanese in a former life?

Sadly, I don't have one. I wish I did. When I was younger I was a big idealist, looking for "true Love" and God, but what I did find was a whole lot of dissilusionment. I find that humanity hates, and ultimately crucifies or otherwise sacrificies those who would stand for something great, while we celebrate mediocrity. Yeah, back to me and my bucket list--"falling in Love", getting married, becoming someone who'd do something great for God (and by extension "His people")==those were on my list. Now it's about survival and trying to improve myself, while time, an aging body, and society seems to be against me from the getgo. I guess, maybe, my one thing, is then, not to do too much damage, and maybe help and/or inspire a couple of people along the way--but inspire people to do what? What's the point? That's my problem and my undying question...

Great post, miamilady! I don't have a lot of things on my bucket list, but I would really like to fly on a plane for the first time(if I ever get up the nerve), and I would like to revisit Tennessee where I spent my childhood and early adulthood. There are many places I would love to see, like New Orleans, but I doubt that I'll ever actually get to see them.

I don't have a list written down yet, but I kinda have one running in my head. 1) I would love to ride in a hot air balloon (and maybe learn to fly!) 2) Going on an archaeological dig would be really cool! 3) My grandfather went to Casablanca and Egypt during World War II, and I'd like to do the same. It'd be really cool if I could take pictures in similar locations that he did, and frame them together. 4) I would like to get tattoos to honor my grandfather and uncle. My grandfather worked on cargo planes during World War II (so I would like to get a plane), and my uncle was a policeman.

I only have a few things: Have children (check!) learn to play the guitar learn to speak French write and publish a book Wow, now that I've written them down, they seem a little boring, but a lot "doable!" I'm sure they will change with time too!

I had not thought much about it until the movie - which I finally watched last week and loved. I've thought of things like going to Italy to see the great art works, or to France, Scotland and Germany to see my ancestor homeland. Then of course the Pyramids, the Taj Mahal (which I heard you cant visit anymore) and other places but I would have to be rich to do those things. There are things closer to home I like. There are things in Houston I still have not seen. I'd like to see the Grand Canyon. I'd like to go back to Destin/Ft.Walton one more time and then later have my ashes tossed in East Pass like my parents were. I'm sure I could think of more but off the top of my head that's all for now. Man I need to get to work on that List! LOL!

Sad to say, there is nothing in my bucket list yet. Perhaps drawing up a will should top the list. Yet, I still think it's too far away and I am sure the bucket list will keep changing as life goes on. Hence, I am not one to redo and redo. I do not like updates. lol.

Probably just have the chance to travel round the world. There may be other things too but I am not sure they are as important to me now. Probably they would be more important later.

I would love to experience parachuting from a plane. I would also like to meet my soulmate and live out the rest of my life with him. I thought I had met him but I seem to have been wrong. Very wrong! I would like to travel to Ireland and have the money to really spend some time there and Scotland, Whales, and the Isle of Mann. Those are probably about it for me.

My health as been so up and down that I really don't have anything left except to continue to use what energy I have for world peace. It's wonderful how much return you get when you set your mind to something outside yourself. Blessings

I always wanted to see the movie "The Bucket List" it looks like a interesting and funny movie. It would be nice to have a "bucket list" but I don't well thats what I think. Most of the things I want to do I see them like things I "wish" I would do not like things I want to do. I guess that I really don't see my self doing any of those things. I know I should get out more and do the things I want to do before its to late but I'm to scare to do anything that really different from what I do everyday. :(

I don't really have a bucket list anymore, I just am thankful for getting up each day. I am more concerned with daily issues, like finding a new place to say and having decent money coming into my household.

I think I would have a really long bucket list, because there are just so many things that I want to do in my life. But, I won't list them all, just some of them. hehe. I would want to go bungee jumping, sky diving. That 2 would be on the top of my list. =D
