I just looked out the window and these young men (teen boys) were walking by. They had looked like they had been swimming. We have a very large pond near by. It was a site to see. I'm sure you are aware of the pants that hang very low. One of the boy's had on at least three pairs of short. One looked like white basket ball pants with a dark stripe down the side. this pair was almost to his knees. Next was a red pair that were about midway up his thighs and last but not least a blue pair up where they belong. guess it's a new fashion to wear several pair since at least two of the boys had that same type of dress.

Hahaha, yeah, I've seen these. You know what kills me is that they think that look is soooooooo cool. Last time I was at the pharmacy this teen guy was wearing his low like that. He strutted around like he was the coolest thing since ice cream lol. Then as he's flying to catch up to these teen girls, his pant slid down and he tripped and almost fell on his face. I couldn't help but chuckle....yep, that's such a cool look, I'll bet those girls thought you were so cool...especially when you almost nose dived hahahaha. Call me un-cool, but any article of clothing that's going to fall down, or off, and expose me, is NOT for me! Neither are articles of clothing that are going to make me fall flat on my face. Ah well, I guess as long as they think it's cool. Although I'm not sure that if they went on a job interview at Burger King that they'd get hired with a get up like that....it'd be a potential law-suit if they fell into the deep fryer...now THAT would be a real fashion faux pas. Three pairs of pants? no thanks and no way!

I am smiling all the way to my ears while reading your comments.
Really funny fashion statements that these teens are sporting
nowadays. But kudos to the boy who fell flat on his face..he carry
it like a pro...lol.

Hi Joy, remember the elephant bell pants from back in the day? I had a pair, thought I looked cool too. I had them on one day and some stray dog chased me, of course I was running to get away from him. The pant leg was so big it flew in front of my other leg and tripped me. Down I went hard on the sidewalk, my poor knees. My knees were a bloody mess, I not only fell, I slid also when I fell, OUCH!! That was it for them pants.

Hahaha, yep, sure do remember those. I never had the huge bells though, being short they just made me look shorter (and frumpier lol) Gawd, bad enough to fall, yet to end up a bloodied mess! Hope the dog didn't git ya too!! To me, there's a difference between those kinds of pants, and ones that threaten to expose you to humanity. Hehehe, and when I see their underwear hanging out I'm always thinking: TMI!!!! (too much information!)

I think those were exceptionally low, a lil too low for the look.
I don't care for that look it's one thing to have the one band hanging out and pants that are 2-3 sizes too big. It's another for them to be so droopy one could trip over their pants. I"m not that old and I don't get it and to me it's a really goofy look.

Its comical watching boys walk by with their pants hanging low. They have them so low, that they have to walk aroung like they have their pants full of you know what, to keep them from falling down all the way. I want to say something so much to them. I will if I know the boys, but I keep quiet if I don't know them.

That seems like a lot of clothes for a hot day, and a lot to wear to go swimming in. I wonder if the weight of all of their pants were making it difficult for them to swim. I have not actually seen any boys around here wearing pants like that. Sometims fashion is local though.

I know that I'm stupid but why would they want to wear more than one pair of pants to swim in? I just don't get it? Or had they changed and were wearing more than one pair of pants? Some kids are doing it to on our Island - just wearing the pants low that is. I don't like it at all. They look like prisoners.
The first time I saw it was in South Carolina when I saw a slim guy whose pants were only staying on his hips by magic. They so looked like they were going to fall down right now.
I pointed this out to my daughter and made my way across to him to offer assistance as I thought that he was in trouble. Then my daughter, realised what I wa doing and grabbed on my arm and started to pull me away. I did not realise that it was the fashion.

I know what you mean about wanting to help them with their pants. I was a school crossing guard a few years ago. One young man had his britches so low that he fell down when running after his friends. Those that wear their pants like this seem to spend every moving moment pulling them up or pushing them down. My grandson has a friend that like to wear his like that but he also wears a shirt long enough to keep his back side covered.

Oh i did not notice on this new trend on the kids nowadays too. I guess this is one of the latest fasihon of the youngsters on clothings. Although it may seem weird or not usual to see them wearing like this but it is still fine as long as it is not too weird that it becomes unacceptable. This is so called 'fashion' and up-to-date, as long as they like and enjoy doing it, there shouldn't be any problem. It is up to personal that what and which type of wearing we prefer. I guess we also have to keep on track and update ourselves with the latest trends on clothings so that we will not be 'abandoned' by the time.
