Anyone Else Like Cheese Fondue?

Canada

My husband made us an absolutely delicious cheese confue last week, and he said that tomorrow he'd be happy to make me another one. The one last week was made with swiss chesse, and the one he'll make tomorrow will be cheddar. Yummy! Anyone else like cheese fondue? What do you put in yours?

I have never had it before or tried it. I have heard of it though. That sounds good and I would like to try it sometime. I would have to look me up a recipe for it to make it though.

It is a little bit too much cheese for my liking. I get tired of the taste.

I have not ever had actual cheese fondue. In the seventies I had a fondue pot where we would cook cubed meat in hot oil and that was how we did fondue. That was when I first experienced horseradish sauce as well. We make a crock pot dish that is a southwest type dip, usually with velveeta type cheese, salsa or rotel and ground beef. We eat it with chips. That will be lunch today, or a version of it. I know, not the same as fondue. I will have to try it sometime.

I never had a cheese fondue but I love cheese. Do you dip bread in it?

I've only been lucky enough to eat cheese fondue a couple - 4 times. Having said that, I ate it in Switzerland in 1968 the first time I ever HEARD of fondue.

I like a cheese fondue... it's rather yummy! lol. I like to use a strong cheddar in mine. I have a little bowl which is heated by tealights, which is great for fondue. I don't have it often, but I enjoy it when I do! Brightest Blessings.

Yummy. I like it too :) I prefer swiss to cheddar, but it might be because we didn't get much cheddar cheese back home. I also like it with the cheese they make in the mountains in Portugal, it is a bit stronger but tastes wonderful as well.

I have not had cheese fondue for years, but I do remember that I liked it very much. I don't think that it matters what kind of cheese is in it, since I like all types of cheese, and I can't remember what kinds I have had before. I am not a big fan of cheddar, but I love Swiss, and I also don't remember what we put in it...........I am thinking bread chucks.
