no, i didn't want to have a long finger nail, because I cannot feel at ease when i have it long, i felt dirty with it.

yes that's what i don't like in having long nails. i felt dirty with them. i also used to see dirts under my long nails and it disgusted me.right there and then i cut them short.it's hard to maintain longer nails really.sometimes they stick with clothes and i hurt my nose too.

I don't have long fingernails because I think it is dirty. The long fingernails can contain many bacteria. This is why I prefer neat and short fingernails. I love China

Hi there flagella08! In the past, I would sometimes grow my fingernails. Long enough just to have nail polish. One that would look good only when fingernails are long. But when I started teaching, I realized it was not good and totally not necessary. It will just gather lots of dirt. Besides, I also wouldn't want the sound of nails hitting the board.

I have pretty short fingernails. I don't bite them, but I'm constantly typing and doing things with my fingers (I pin clothing at work, and it's always been hard for me to have long nails and do that), and I play guitar - so I almost NEED to keep them short.

it's inconvenient when one has longer nails for typing and playing guitar. aside from it, it would be painful ticking those both keys. i used to play guitar too and i always have short nails. i also find it hard to wash clothes in long nails.

I let my nails grow a little, but they are not talon-length or anything. I just don't cut them down to the nub. I don't get manicures or use nail polish, I just let them be. I've never had a problem with dirt getting under them; I just scrub with my nails when I'm washing my hands. I would hate to have super-short nails. They give me the willies :- )

yes i mean super short nails.i get irritated to feel extra nails at the tip of my finger. i used to let it grow but found lots of scratches on my face. i accidentally scratched my face so i avoid having longer nails.my friends teased me to have smittens like the babies.

I don't really have a problem with nail polish, and actually use it occasionally. As for my nails they are not long, but I let them grow a little bit. I don't like them too long because it is quite hard to do many things with such nails. I have seen people with such long nails that they have trouble doing even simple things. I don't like how they look either when they are too long. But, of course that's only my opinion. Other people might really enjoy them long. Even though I don't have very long nails, I do use a brush each day to clean underneath mine.

Hi, flagella08. Well my nails are medium long. They are not as long as they used to be. But certain nails are longer than the others. I want my nails to grow long like they used to. I think that the reason why I have long nails is because I ate the right food and I took care of them.

No, I don't have long fingernails. I let them grow a little, but not much at all. I don't really like to have long fingernails, or anything like that. I don't really wear nail polish either.

I have had a lifelong habit of biting my nails. Im now an avon rep. and i bought a nice manicure set and desided to stop biting my nails. So when im wearing my avon rings my hands will look good. I have been very sucessful. Longer nails can be a bit troubling im finding out. I also run a cleaning business. When cleaning nails get damaged by getting chips or nicks in them. Longer ones have been bend and broken. Texting can be a challenge too. I often misspelled becoz i try to use my finger tip and the nail inserts a wrong letter. Now i keep them trimmed so they are not much longer than my fingertip. At least i have kicked the habit!!!

I do too much work with my hands and it is annoying. I had long nails for quite a few years and the time I took caring for them I could be doing other things that I need to or like to do. If I want nice looking nails for an event, I buy glue on nails!! LOL

Mine are not that long I do like them long. I think that women should have long nails and men should not. I have seen some guys with really long nails and I think that is so gross. But I guess to each their own, whatever floats your boat I guess. Anyway take care and happy mylotting to you.

currently,i have long finger nails, but i would like to get them as soon as possible. when i was a kid, i used to have a fancy of growing the nail of my thumb finger. i would grow it real long and then cut it down and then start all over again. but, as i grew up i felt that it was unhygienicto grow nails and now never allow nails to grow much.

I like long fingernails, not superlong but just past the end of my fingers, it just doesnt seem to work for me. I work so hard on it too that whenever a nail breaks (about once a week) i get really frustrated so i got them done at a nail salon and it just hurts when thay start clipping and pinching. dont put yourself through that. I just stick to keeping them even now. anja

I grew them a few months ago for a few weeks...but it became increasingly difficult to type! They did look fantastic and made my fingers look a lot longer (my hands look like a child's because I have short, fat fingers!), but when I took my new job I found that I had to have them short. I do like them a little long but unfortunately it's not practical for me.

No, I dont. It just irritates me to have fingernails that go as far as the end of my fingers. For the last 15 months, I've been in a job where its compulsory to keep fingernails short to minimize the risk of infection but, that's fine by me.

I keep my finger nails short. I am not a girl, but I am a Chef, and so it is important to keep our nails short and clean, also I am practicing in Aikido, and there they ask that we keep our nails short so that we do not scratch our partners by accident. It is more hygienic to keep your nails short also. Cheers.

My fingernails get pretty long. They grow really fast and are really tough naturally so they don't break often. Honestly, I just don't get around to cutting them very often. My fingernails have always been like this ever since I was a kid.

I never like growing my fingernails long because it usually gets in the way of what I do. Besides I also have a toddler and I don't want him being accidentally scratched by my nails. I think it is low maintenance too if you have short nails, because you don't have to regularly go to a manicurists. The only time I remember having long nails was when I got married.
