I'm BACK!!!

Well, the old computer just wasn't able to handle the new router. My poor old 9 yr old computer just couldn't take the newer/faster/stronger router and would keep kicking me off. I am now using the OTHER roomie's desktop machine, that is at LEAST 2 yrs old, and a referb of an Dell until we can afford to get a machine of my own. I'm also using a new monitor because the old monitor wasn't able to deal with the newer machine - and this guy is also a loaner this time from our geek.
So, the only things that are the same is the keyboard and the mouse - oh, and the same old user....
The roomie's trying to tempt me with Torchwood, but I want to get back on here for a while since its been so long since I could honestly respond to ANYTHING!
So, I'm BACK!!! and I guess I'll be able to make payout this month because now I can mylot AGAIN!
and I missed out on the whole glitch of mylot's payment stuff - so I'm happy to have missed this weekend anyway!
Love you guys!!! thanks for all the concern, that's why I'm posting a whole "discussion" to let you know what was wrong and how I'm back!

well, I went thru and got rid of everything I knew I wasn't going to respond to, that still left 60 to look at again.
Right now I have about 55, but that includes what's come in to day that I haven't sorted out - I have one "friend" that I'm just deleting his unopened, because if he does post something I might respond to, I'll see it another way.

Still sounds bizarre, LoL... Assuming only USB 1.1 on your old PC, you would've connected at 11Mbps to the old 54Mbps wireless... Even though your new router supports 300Mbps WiFi, it should still be backwards compatible with IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g (11Mbps and 54Mbps...) Also, if the new WiFi dongle is USB 1.1 compatible, it'll allow you to connect at 11Mbps... Bizarre... ^_^

Hurray! So Elic's back and can start posting and answering once more.. Ha..
I heard Dell's a good brand and can last long. If anything, having a notebook computer is just so awesome. The lighter, the better.
But there will be lesser memory too. But as long as there's enough for mylot discussions should be cool.

I"m just impressed you got one to last 9 yrs! Mine usually only last 2-3yrs before I need a new model where hubby can't upgrade me any further.

HI {{Elic}} Welcome back!
I know what you mean about the troubles with computers and such, since going back to dial
up I am using my 10 year + machine and I think its just on deaths door even though its
had a years rest while I was using this other one when I had DSL...this old relic is
not set up for DSL but it just does not function like it used too...(sigh)!
So like you I've got pieces and parts inter mixed and so long as I get on for awhile
some during the day I guess I'll just have to deal with it...I hate it...
I wish someone would drop a big ton of money down on your head and mine so we could
get the machines we want and need...LOL!!
Wishful thinking I know...(sigh)!!

It’s good to see you back ElicBxn! I have only been here on and off during the weekend and I too have missed most of the drama! I didn’t even notice that the earnings had not been updated because I thought I just had not been paid due to inactivity!
Ahh! The joys of computer ownership! Hope you get used to the new equipment and look forward to your posts!

Didn't expect you back for a week at least and am glad it wasn't that long! As for payout, I didn't quite make it this month thanks to being depressed but that's ok, I should next month since I'm only pennies away now. 
Oh such is life, huh? lol I'm doing better though, just taking it day by day. Wednesday will be a REAL upper for me and Oreo for we're meeting for the first time and we're going to the aquarium in Atlanta!! 
It'll be so nice to put a face to a wonderful friend!! Anyway, glad to have you back so soon!

Thanks for the wonderful welcome back! I'm jealous that you and Oreo are getting to meet! Never been to the aquarium in Atlanta (in fact, only ever landed in a plane in Atlanta) but I've been to the ones in Chattanooga and New Orleans (long before the hurricane.

It's like you should never mention you got a bonus check anywhere near your car or fridge or roof. One or all of them may pick THAT MOMENT to throw a rod, dump all the freon, or spring a mighty leak--precisely over the new couch you just bought & were silly enough to mention under that roof.

I think mylot is a very good and intresting place to making earnings and learn make friends,especislly for people who coming from a non-english speaking country,it is a very good place to practise english!
