I am really hoping someone can help me with this problem. Yesterday I discovered that the right-click no longer works on my computer mouse. Has this ever happened to any of you? Other than that one function it seems to be working fine. Now I am wondering if I should replace it or try using another mouse. I hope someone can help me with this situation.

Did you clean it? I have a laptop but I recall at work that I would have a problem occasionally with mine and someone gave me the idea of cleaning out the inner workings of it. I did that and it worked fine. Hope it is that easy for you. And I don't think the basic ones are that expensive. I would think about getting a laptop. Heehee

From your lips to God's ear, celticeagle!I wish I could afford a new laptop. I'm having the same problem with another mouse so I am troubleshooting internal problems now.

My guess would be your mouse is worn out. I would replace it since they are inexpensive. You can try another mouse and see what happens.

I have tried that, carolbee, but neither one of them works. It's back to the saltmines, I guess!

Try using another Mouse first and make sure it is the Mouse that is at fault and if it is then by all means do replace it

I am sorry to hear that you are having mouse problems. I hate it when that happens. I had problems with my mouse for a long time too and thought it has something to do with my computer also. I replaced the mouse and the problem went away.

Changing to a new mouse has not solved my problem, stephcjh, so I believe it has to be something else with my computer. I am going to try a couple more things to see if I can get a handle on it.
