I have had the privilege of travelling all over the world. I've been to almost every continent (except Antartica) and throughout my travels I have had amazing adventures and visited a lot of exotic places. But these five destinations will always be the best holidays I've ever had:- 1) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Nothing beats the annual carnival in Brazil and Rio is just so superb and amazing! Beaches are wonderful, food is delicious. 2) Monaco - OMG.. that place is heaven. So clean, sophisticated and the people are totally wonderful. Love prince Albert's Palace.. very very nice. 3) Kilimanjaro, Kenya - best 7 day mountain trek ever. Absolutely green and plenty of wildlife, and just awesome. If you're into nature and wild life then this is a definite must visit. 4) Sydney Australia - ozzie ozzie ozzie!! oi oi oi!! love bondi beach, the city is just wonderful with the opera house, harbor bridge. great site seeing spots. 5) Tokyo, Japan - what a wonderful city! so vibrant, multi cultural, highly technologised, people are brilliant (although they all look alike from my point of view!). So what are your top 5 favorite holiday spots and why do you like them?

it's sad you don't list any place of the UK. as I know the UK has many fantastic places to see. the country is big very beautiful country. the picture you posted is from Eastbourne. That is very beautiful coastal city. I like it very much. i visited the city many times. I wish one day i can stay there for a couple of years. it would be perfect. i don't travel a lot compared to you. so i would not list the top 5 destinations i have been. but i do like to visit Roman, Paris, LA, New York and Shang Hai.

Hi, I've only been to 2 countries other than my own, and that's California USA, and Bangkok in Thailand. Both are very beautiful places, but in two different ways. So I won't include them in my list anymore. If I have enough resources to travel around the world, my top 5 destinations would be: 1. Egypt - I wanna see the pyramids, to experience its mystic beauty 2. Subterranean River in Palawan, Philippines - never been there, been planning to, haven't been so lucky though 3. France - for the history 4. China, The Great Wall - I want to see for myself the only human creation visible when one is outside the earth (so they say) 5. Africa - to see the wilds like no other

I am very keen on traveling and have been to some lovely places in different countries: 1. Australia. In Sydney I adored seeing the white sails of the opera house and the gray harbor bridge. I liked seeing the unique wildlife. 2. New Zealand. I enjoyed walking along the scenic tracks like the coastal route and the sounds walk. I found such a lovely and unspoilt landscape. 3. Samoa. I loved seeing the palm fringed beaches, the cool waterfalls and the exciting blow holes. I found the culture fascinating and the history interesting. 4. The Seychelles. I found the most beautiful beaches in the world. Wow! 5. Belize, Guatemala and Mexico. I liked seeing the Mayan ruins, going snorkeling and seeing the wildlife. I have been to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia, North and Central America and the Caribbean. I haven't yet been to South America or Antartica

Hi Jellymonty, your travels have certainly taken you far. The top five places I've been as holiday spots would have to be Greece, Turkey, Malta, Portugal and Tunisia, each one stands out due to the friendliness of the locals and their local customs as well as the beauty or each country. There are many many places I still want to go to, all inspired by reading books which are set there, they kind of caught my imagination. These 5 would be The Deep South of USA, also Montana area of USA, Poland would be my first choice, Scicily and Morocco. One day. For now there's so many parts of Greece and it's islands still to explore.
