what to do to be productive?

Philippines
August 3, 2009 4:33am CST
its monday today but we have a local holiday which ends me up being in the house whole day long. i didnt wake up early but when i wake up, i dont get out of bed directly. i first thought of the things to do to make my day productive. atleast i could help out even in small simple ways. to make productive things, i cook our lunch, help out in cleaning the dishes then clean the kitchen as well. and after that, i can open my pc and do mylotting. i am just here for a moment then take an afternoon nap. before again arranging somethings to bring to work tomorrow. how about you? if you got no work or school, or anythings else...what are the things to amke your day productive? or just do nothing? or just do mylotting? happy mylotting to everyone jhelai

After your household chores, it is better you do your mylotting than doing nothing. I am just new here, my activities during a dayoff is house cleaning, laundry and eating my favorites. :-)

i down some coke or mountain dew first just to wake up and get my self alert. i try not to do the same things more than 2 days in a row as it gets old and i usually start to burn out and be unmotivated. i usually decide what i'm going to do quickly at the beginning of the day as i just feel naturally drawn towards things so i know what i want. i feel good at the end of the day afterwards knowing i got to things and got them done.

mountain dew does makes us feel so alert because of its caffeine content. anyways, that is a good way you have in mind there my friend. have to done things all the same within a week wont help us to be motivated. but sometimes i does have that kind of work. thanks friend elmiko jhelai

after waking up and feeding pets, i usually sit down on the couch with my coffee, and relax and sip as i try to organize my day. i make a list on a piece of paper everything that i need to do... -check my calendar to see if i have any appointments or need to be anywhere this week. and organize my schedule around that. -clean house -wash car -groceries -reorganize house or a particular room -do errands -check my postal mail -turn on computer and check emails -write some articles -take a break and eat and check out my to-do list after doing each.

Charles Prentez Carter, Jr. - Lil Charles, 3 days old
My day is productive everyday. First, I get up and get the baby fed and washed. Then, I have to make breakfast for the older kids and get some chores done. Then, I rock the baby to sleep for his afternoon nap. After that, I find a little me time and check my email for any job offers. After that disappointment, I run some errands, take requests from the kids, and get dinner started. As for the rest of the day, I have an overly-active 9-month-old son to run after. I think I exert more energy at home than somebody at a 9-5. I'm so ready to go back to work! But, that's my day. If that's not productive, I don't know what is.

I love to try to organize things when and if I get those small stolen moments. That is my extra planning time. A nap? Wow, sounds nice. I am not much of a napper, but I feel like one now. Unfortunately, I have to run out to the post office and do some other errands instead. Maybe another time. I just myLot when I am taking a break from other stuff on the computer.

I think in order to be more productive during holidays, we must kicked away our laziness and find something worthwhile to do.Instead of wasting our time on the bed, we can set out to work to find more pocket money and experience. It is okay to be mylotting but not the whole day.

I also do the same. Before I would like to start my day, I would think of the things I will do. Like washing clothes, then cooking, then ironing and then some online work. I tend to organize everything so that I can save time. I have to schedule everything form now on, so that I won't be missing something. I also do listings before going to buy something in the grocery. This would also remind what is important and we can save money too by not spending on items not listed on the list. Sometimes it is tempting to buy items that is for sale, but if it is not on my list, i really have to skip for it. It would be lovely to see what you have accomplished for the day when you know how to set a goal and to complete them Being productive means you are smart and you know what to prioritize.

Clear the backlogs and clear the clutters. Put the house in order. Do the entire weeks laundry and iron the cloths for the week. Prepare some new and tasty dishes. Contact loved ones and friends and enquire about their welfare. Relax doing what you enjoy most.

Hello there, for me and my family, Sunday is the only day that I can call it our rest day. For Saturday, even my daughters don't need to go school, but they got their swimming lesson in the morning and tuition in the afternoon. Sunday is the only day when my family wake up late at 10am. We will normally laze on the bed and watch our favourite cartoon on the bed. Then we will cook and eat our lunch (& breakfast) around 11.30am. Then it will be more lazing around the house, watching TV programmes or VCD until afternoon. We try to take things slow on Sunday, we don't really try to make this rest day productive. Cheers =))

I think you need to find new hobbies. Find out what are your interests are. Do something out of the ordinary. I know sometimes we'll feel lazy doing the things we want to do, but u juz have to push yourself and Im telling you...you'll feel better after because its almost like an achievement. For me I like to go for a drive, just cruising around the neighbourhood, or go for a bike ride. Specially its summer, you gotta enjoy the outdoors. Because im guessing your in canada, we get winter pretty soon and you wont be able to do much. Live life and enjoy life!

I am as productive as can be, every day of my life. I always make me out a dily list of things that I want to get done online and around my home. I hardly ever waste any time just sitting around. Life is too short.

life is truly too short to just waste it up with nothing to do. we must always live our life to the fullest. its better to be always productive int he things we do, and yet still do be done. a daily list is nice friend. that i should do because i always tend to forget things and necessary chores to be done. so by now i think making a list of things to do is a very better remedy. thanks friend jhelai

These past few days, I kept trying to write articles, but nothing being done. Me too wanted very much to be productive, but I kept procratinnate and delaying things. It become harder as I easily feel sleepy, and always wanted to sleep. There are many things in my mind to do, but at the end, I end up being unnecessary things. I wanted to fix this, but it hard, so I make a challenge to myself to write many articles these months. I hope I can do that. But since one hour ago, I did nothing except here at mylotting. Mylotting is so addicting.

i have tried procrastinating in so many things to be done my friend. and nothing accomplishes by doing so. i was even trying to write articles but in the end, i just surrender because i am not really good at it. we have so many things in our minds but we always end up doing nothing and not even accomplishing a single one of it all. and you are right my friend ucue2008. mylotting is surely an addicting stuff to do. though i am tired and so stressed out from work, i always and still keep in mind to do mylotting. thanks jhelai

Productivity is nothing but getting out stuff. Well, that doesnt mean we can just become a robot. You need to plan and perform some activities in an optimum way to derive the maximum out of it. Do some cleaning, go shopping, do some financial laundry, clear up your clutter, do something you wont normally have time to do...
