Do you like playing Monopoly board game?

Hello markmoney!!! yeah, monopoly is very interesting game to play sometimes. Now and then I get interested in playing that game haha. Like you, when I was young I used to like that game even more. I can still remember playing that game with my brothers and sisters. Sometimes the whole day used to go just by playing that game, you know how long is the monopoly game, very difficult to finish up. Haha, I remember how careless I was and used to misplace those duplicate money. After playing continuosly for few days, I used to get lazy with that game. And then after few months we may want to play that game again and at that time, there were always the pieces of money or tickets missing haha..That's why I think, I have bought so many monopoly boards in my life. Nowadays playing monopoly in computer is more popular than in boards haha.. But still real game is real than the computer game and is more intersting... Happy mylotting...

Good topic :-) I always think it is an interesting game and I like playing BUT I only like to play it or KEEP playing it when I have lots of money and have money to buy properties, I like to do investment on it instead of just paying for others and have no chance to buy properties... otherwise, I would feel so discouraging and just play it for the sake of being part of it :-p

I used to love playing Monopoly, I havent played it in a long time thou. I just cant find the time to play, that is one game that can take hours! Growing up we use to play marathon games that would go into the next day, however my Uncle always seemed to win! lol My kids did play it the other night and they really seemed to enjoy it, well my daughter more so as she beat the stuffing out of her brother!

I first played when I was ten. To my amazement I beat four other adults. Since then I loved the game. I am really good at it. I win everytime no kidding. I just think its all about the timing and insuring you dont go bankrupt.

We play Monopoly occasionally, but not too often because it can get LONG. My husband usually wins, but he usually wins most games. I also play monopoly online at pogo with my brother. I usually lose that one too.

I LOVE monopoly and always have; it's a great game! I am really good at it and my family sometimes even refuse to play it with me because I almost always beat them. I love board games and monopoly is definitely one of the best.

As a kid I use to be addicted to playing monopoly although no one would want to play as the games always took too long. I did have it on my last computer but ended up playing games when I should have been working so got strict with myself and haven't put it on my new computer. What I liked about it was that it was quite educational. To win it was best to work out a stratergy on which areas you were going to buy. Plus it also taught you how to count as you handed out the money. I did hear that the newer versions no longer use paper money but operate with monopoly debit cards which you place in a machine and it does it all for you, which to me sounds like less fun and less education.

Hi there I just love the game Monopoly ,The best part is it teaches the game of investing in a really simple way .The best plays is the one that I lose as they provide me a reflection of me and help me find my mistakes , analyze and new insights .this game is a must for everyone.

Oh I always like to play monopoly when I was taking my vacation back home in Philippines. I always play this game with my mom, my youngest bro and other friends at home. It was how you manage to buy properties and at the same time, your luck on those dice when you throw. Most of the time i get jailed but bailed out because of the card I always get. I don't usually win the first, but I always land on being second or third from the game . It is exciting to buy one same color of block, that's how you take control and have an edge. I always wanted to buy the most expensive lot. So that other players pay more when they land on your property. Once I get the same color, i immediately build a house, it will be a good investment and trick for me. But I am just careful not to get a chance card paying the taxes on per house or building I own.

Oh I haven't played monopoly in ages. I love to play although I never did win when I played against my brother as he always cheated! Back then we used to use real money and well it was a min casino in our house and it was always fun. Love it till today.

I like playing monopoly. I used to play it with my brother and friends during my school days. The game will go on on and on. We'll continue the game for even 3or 4 days. But nowadays there no much time to enjoy that game. I miss that a lot. Hope some day i'll play it again.

I suppose that I would like this game if everyone I played with didn't cheat. It's really frustrating when you're playing by the rules and everyone is cheating. It's like real life. The banker is giving money away to the other side and endless squabbles about which number the dice rolled on. I don't know maybe I need better people to play with.

oh i love that game.i used to play with my cousins for hours together,in my childhood.i used to always lose and i used to take the dog . and few years back i found the pc version and again i enjoyed it a lot with my friends,but this time i won most of the time.

well, in this discussion..you will know in what generation the users are because here in our country, the kids do not play monopoly anymore unlike when I was a kid where it was a very popular board game.

I use to play when I was a kid and loved it.By the time my daughter was old enough to play,I had no choice but to play along.I really didn't care for it as much as when ,I was a kid. But she loved the money part ,so of course I played.Thank goodness she is a adult now.If she ever finds a decent guy and has children ,I guess once again I will be playing it .I personally think it is educational with the money part,also teaching them about responsibility and how to take chances. I think I just talked myself into thinking its not so bad with the benefits it gives the kids.

Yes, I absolutely love playing monopoly, but I haven't played it for about 10 years. The game is somewhere in the attic, so it might be an idea for me to get it down and set up a game again when the family comes around. - Derek

I loved playing monopoly, and when the kids were young that was one of the games we played as a family, but it has been a long time since i have played it.

Its my favorite,I remember playing this with my friends regularly when i was in school.It teaches you in a very simple manner that how to invest properly,I heard that they have now come up with a video game version of this classic,i am looking forward to play it.It was so fun i miss it desperately ..

I have to agree this really is a great game i have played it since i was a 10 and i still play it sometimes. the problem is you cant play it with bad losers, but that's a problem with all games i guess. but to play it with people with good sense of humor- then it's really fun. if i ply it with people the i can often be persuaded to do some irrational decisions. but against AI in computer game i have no mercy whatsoever.

I do like the game but never seem to win and sometimes get very stressed out! One time I was playing it with my other half and I landed on one of his hotels and was so cross I threw the board in the air and everything flew all over the caravan we were staying in. We were finding little green plastic houses for days afterwards. I had the Star Wars version at one time too and my friend had to go out for bike ride in the middle of the game to calm down. I now play a version on my computer which is probably safer, as long as I don't decide to throw the laptop lol
