Its actually very bad currently in our country. There have been 8 deaths till date and there are more than 800 affected. All these started when some people, travelling from abroad, landed here with Flu symptoms and later many of them tested positive. The situation is grave and scary. Many schools have shut down for few days. How the situation is there in your country? How many estimated people affected? Is there any case of death?

Last report, in Indonesia has 80 patients with 5 deaths. Not like as else countries, which people it direct use mask by troop. In Indonesia, use mask not popular. I dont know why use mask not popular, maybe Indonesia people immune of swine flu ?

Hi Subha, I am also from India, so the condition wrote by you is the same what I would like to write. Hope Doctors do something great to treat people and people also take some precautions to avoid this flu.

swine is in my area but they have tendency to overstate how bad it is. yes it is a problem but people can live with it and get over it. its really similar as feeling like you have the regular flu from what i've heard. hopefully they will have a swine flu vaccine available soon.

Yes,the situation is getting worsened and the doctors are saying that it will be here throughout the winter.May god do something and protect all of us.But we should do make sure that our responsibilities are being done perfectly. The safety measures and precautions prescribed by doctors should be taken into account and then we will all be safe. God Bless.

Hello subha, I come from Indonesia. In Indonesia swine flu I think not dangerous. After issue about swine flu, my son get a flu. I worry about that, because temperature my boy until 40 C degree. So, I go to hospital and consultation with the doctor here. I said worry about swine flu, but the doctor said don't worry about that. swine flu not effect to Indonesia people because swine flu not dangerous in Indonesia. I free of worry after that. But actually I don't understand the doctor say if swine flu not dangerous for Indonesia people.

i had actually started a discussion on the 'swine flu' also: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2100742.aspx the condition in our country is much, much worse - and i am really upset, because i think the government, resposible ministries should have handled this matter more seriously at the earlier stage... now everything is going out of control.. the day before we had 18 deaths, yesterday it rose to 26.. the latest count is now 36, even the Crown Princess of one of our 13 states, and her 5 children have been infected... it is really worrying - but sadly i really dont see much effort, or concern among our ministers.. sad... http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/8/12/nation/4502199&sec=nation http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/8/12/nation/4502229&sec=nation

Hi subha, The Swine flu is already spreading scare among people. Here in Delhi some schools are closed for sometime but government advised to take precautions instead of closing down but private schools are free to close if they want. But still many school authorities are not initiated any precautionary steps. I checked my son’s school diary whether they are informing anything but nothing is there. I asked my friends to know about the status of different schools but none of them have any information.

There were scattered cases all over the country some deaths. They have not talked much about people being ill recently. What we are hearing on the news now is that they are working diligently to create a vaccine before winter comes. They are expecting a lot of cases of swine flu this year and are worrie that it could get combined with the common flu. At least they are trying really hard to get a handle on it. I hope they are able to come up with a suitable vaccine.

Hi there. Well I am from the UK and here the number of deaths resulting from swine flu is relatively low. Anyone who shows symptoms of swine flu is immediately given a course of TamiFlu for treatment and is being told to stay in isolation for at least 5 days. Quite a few people I know, including family members have been affected but all have thankfully made a full recovery.

i think my country is even worst. we got 2000 plus positive cases and 38 fatality. Most of the deaths reported are those in high risk group patients like who suffered from lung disease, diabetes, hypertension and asthma. also those in their age of more than 60. Now, most of the reported cases are local transmission. i myself already starting to wear mask as a pre-cautious measures. Less outdoor activities for me for the time being.

I can't believe what this has been doing to our country! I am from the US, and I was recently pregnant and had two kids in under two years and all of a sudden they are saying that many of the people affected are "healthy" pregnant women! What is up with that??!! All I know is from word of mouth that we didn't have any deaths at first, but now we have the most affected persons?
