I enter a lot of contests online. I have been entering Marlboro Cigarettes 100 Days of Summer contest. They give away a different prize each day for 100 days. I have won 2 different prizes so far and they both arrived this evening via UPS. One was an old fashioned steel bottle opener which has a value of maybe $2. Now the other was awesome. It is a Brookstone Professional 10 piece BBQ tool set. It is valued at $200(estimated). Here's a shot of the prize I won. I love thios et. It comes in a case and all. It includes, a bottle opener/corkscrew, 2 skewers, meat thermometer, tongs, spatula, carving knife with leather sheath, BBQ light with clamp, meat fork, basting brush, and a grill cleaner brush with scraper. Hey Grandpa Bob! Nice to see ya! I'm not sure what's going on
here on the lot since the emails aren't working and the
notifys don't seem to be either, but glad I found this
discussion! That is a beautiful set! And you won that! I know
that when I used to smoke Newports I never won anything! And
Marlboro always had the best stuff! One of my ex-boyfriends
gave me the coolest shirt with a snake on the back! That set
is really incredible and you are the perfect person to get
it! I have never won anything ever! But, nice going and I
sure know that those utensils will come in handy at one of
your grand BBQ's! Enjoy!

It may end up going to my daughter and son-in-law
as I only cook for 2 most days and this is too
much tools for me. Hahaha!

WTG Grandpa Bob! Glad to hear someone actually wins something in the contests cause I never do. I finally gave up entering. That grill set really sounds like it's a nice set. Bet you can't wait to use it.

I have never really won a prize contest. I did have a nice Bingo win one time but to say I have won a contest no I haven't. I want to say congratulations on the B.B.Q set, I must say it looks pretty darn good, Good job!!!

I have won $1500 on a single Bingo in the past.
My dad won a Bonanza Bingo for $25,000 years ago.

Wow your dad was lucky!!! I didn't know there were Bingo prizes that high. My win was just twenty five hundrend but for me at that time it was a huge win, we didn't even have grocerys in the house and the only reason I went to Bingo in the first place was because my family came to visit (about a thousand miles away) and they insisted I go along. My win was the lucky seven game. On July 11 I went to Edmonton with my daughter to our yearly mother/daughter weekend and we wound up going to the casino, I won just over 600 dollars and straight to my purse that went. On the way home we stopped at a costco store and I spent every dime on a 32 inch Panasonic flat screen TV. All I had was a 13 inch so I'm lovin this TV.

As for last time I won anything...well did win $50 once from a lotto game piece, but that was years ago

I used to win quite often playing the Instanmt Lottery tickets.
The most I ever won on them was $1000 many years ago. As of late the biggest win on a scratch ticket was $25. Uggh! Thanks also.

heh..i'd won one of those openers too-they are cool.
i also won a glass ashtray with the marlboro insignia on the bottom.
we won a steak plate set the one year-they're metal plates with a wood border.
they'd probably go good with your BBQ set actually.

I have gotten many ashtrays from Marlboro as well. I wanted to win the meat tray/warmers they had as well. But this toolset is great enough. Here's the insignia from the case for the BBQ tool set.

Sounds like you did really good on your wins, especially the BBQ tool set. I don't even know the last time I have entered any contests. I just found out about one that I told my husband about for him to go to and try to win a trip to Miami and the last nascar race of the season. Will have to see. LOL

The 2 Grand Prizes are $40,000 in Gold Bars and a 2010 Mustang.

I am not lucky when it comes to winning contests or lotteries. I know for certain, I have not won anything recently. Years ago, though, I won a car and $5000.00 from a sweepstake in Atlantic City. That was a really big one, and probably my last, but I was so happy and grateful for the win.

Nice BBQ set! Why don't ya come over to show us and I'll fire up the grill? LOL I've been entering that contest too. So far I won a wall-mounted bottle opener, and a BBQ cookbook. The cookbook is fabulous, large full color pictures for each recipe. There used to be a Brookstone store near me...they have great stuff. Enjoy it!

I think some of what we can win or obtain online for free is a great way to stretch our dollars in this economy...or any economy. Now, be sure to show us a photo of whatever you cook to break in the new bbq tools :)

I did have some winnings in the past, but not online. I am a bit lucky during raffle draws done during parties. The last one I won was a flat iron, not much but very much appreciated. I also won a washing machine, a calendar planner, a dinner set, oh there are a lot of small things. The nice thing about it is I attended a gathering to socialize with friends, enjoy the day and to wrap up the event, I went home with a prize. Awesome

The first and last item I won in a contest was a solarpanel backpack from Planet Green, for charging iPods, cellphones, and other gadgets while on the go outside. It has an retail value of about $250.

This is Cool . I have not entered very many contests via online due to most of them I see are either Scams or produce a lot of Junk spam email. But from time to time I have entered a contest or two but have not really won anything from any of them for a long long time now.

Pretty neat to win from entering contest. It's been a long time since I've even entered a contest. Haven't even been on mylot lately, since I got addicted to facebook farming and all. Seems like that has been the only place I have been hanging out lately. As a matter of fact, waiting on some crops to harvest so that I can harvest them before I go to bed. LOL

HI grandpa bob, the last thing i won in a contest was a dvd of Micheal Jacksons best videos !! obviously before his early demise, but i gave it to my friend at work who was a mega fan of MJ. I love crossword puzzles and often enter those type of competitions, but nearly always to send the entry off. Doh !!

brain not working tonight,,,,,,,forgot to put 'forgot' inbetween 'always' and 'to' double doh!! plus nearly forgot to mention, my husband won a beautiful bbq set in a raffle on holiday once, no where near as expensive as yours, but its pretty good, but there is a sharp knife with it and you have to be really careful. there's also a pair of tongs, which are spring loaded and get a life of their own when you'r trying to put them back in the box !!

My wife enters contests all the time.She won a brand new TV last year valued at about $600.She has one some clothes at some online contest places.And one ashtray at a site with the site name on it.I won a watch once about 20 years ago and that was it for me.I bet you are happy with what you got.
