I enjoy a lot of different crafts. In the winter months I like to crochet I try to make a blanket but never seem to finish. I made one last year but it ended up to be a lap blanket. I all so enjoy cross stitch. I usually am able to finish . I started a scrap book That I really like. Its kind of pricey , It is a investment if you ask me. You can go crazy buying all those cool things for scraping. I've never tried to make a quilt . I have watched the quilting shows and looks like you put a lot of work into making a quilt. I'm going to try it out soon. I probably try a quilting class if they have one around were I live.

Elmo Bank - Elmo bank made with plastic canvas.
My favorite craft project is to work with plastic canvas. Find it to be so relaxing and the finished product always looks good. Some of my projects have been sold at craft fairs and others have been given as fun gifts to our kids. I also use several for myself at home. I also knit but can only make the real basic afghan. Below is an Elmo bank I made for one of our grandkids.

Thanks so much for your nice compliment. I recently mailed 2 banks to our grandkids who live out of state. Our daughter said the kids carried those banks around for a week wherever they went. I thought it was so cute. It takes patience and is a slow moving project but I love making new projects. Enjoy your kids. I remember those days and they sure were fun.

It makes me fulfilled to be hosting an event on stage. That's my craft, a passion at that. Since 2000, I've been an emcee of a variety show, wedding, fashion event, corporate function, celebrity visits, name it. It gives me that immeasurable joy when I make people smile. On another end, I also love to put pictures in different kinds of frames. Memories last forever, and when they are printed on a glossy paper, they are just fabulous. They remind of how great life is.

I love to sing and dance, too. People tell me I can sing but I haven't done it professionally, just for pastime and for fun. My friends and I would love to go karaoke every now and then. Filipinos love to do that.

I enjoy knitting. I make alot of baby blankets for shower gifts. I've made scarves and hats too. I used to cross-stitch alot, but that has gotten harder as my vision changes as I get older.(only 48, but my eyes really did change alot after 40). I sew, but don't make clothing much anymore. I work at an alterations shop, so that is more work to me. I'm like you, I would like to make a quilt some day, but it does seem like a huge undertaking.

I have never tried to knit. I have all ways wanted to. It looks a little hard. My mom is a great knitter. She was suppose to teach me but we have never got around to it. She all so makes baby blankets. She made one for my son. He is 3 years old , and still loves it. My mom says knitting is easier than crochetings.I never thought so ,because of the to hooks .I'm Not sure what they are called. But soon I bet I will be knitting too.

I think knitting is fairly easy. When I read though a crochet pattern it sound complicated. But it may just be what you're used to. I only did one crochet project and that was over 25 years ago. I'm sure you will be able to knit also. Good luck

Crochet is my absolute favorite craft, I've always have several projects going at once. I'd love to quilt, my grandmother made wonderful quilts, but I've found that I can't sew to save my life. I like a variety of crafts, especially those that recycle things. I occasionally make jewelry, I have loads of beads and findings, I ususally make bracelets. I like knitting but it is too slow and not as versitile as crochet. I'll try just about any craft, I daily check out craft and crochet sites. My grandkids love to craft so I try to keep projects on hand for them, I enjoy doing the crafts with them, it brings us closer and hopefully gives them good memories.

i totaly enjoy doing cross stitching and needle point. I like working year round on differnt x-mas project for gifts for special people. i dont work on them around the clock so i might get a few done, it also depends on the size. I have been doing the needle crafts since a was little when my mom taught me. now i am trying to teach my niece how. my poor mom does not even do them any more and she misses it so much. i find it to be a great stress releiver. I have tried knitting but i have not very well on picking it up.

You are right about the stress reliever. But some times my 3 year old runs around with my string and takes my paper, etc. I still want to try knitting. Have a great day

I love painting as well as making jewelry. I am also love making home made goodie baskets for Christmas. I give out a lot of goodie baskets to my family and friends. I am hoping that next year I will be able to participate in a craft fair. I was hoping to this year, but because of money issues I could not do it. This year I making a lot of homemade gifts because money is so tight. I have a lot of cookie, candy and fudge recipes.

I keep telling her to rent a stand at our local flea market. But she never listens to me.But her girlfriend wore one of her bracelets to her job,and my mother has had alot of orders in the past few weeks. She is so excited.

I do a few different crafts, but the one that I really love to do is scrapbooking. LIke you said it can be expensive, but what I do is i look for sales on things at places like Michaels and Joanne fabrics then I get what I want or need. Or I will gather things throughout the year til I need them. I have one for my church camp that looks great.

I love to work with beads. always trying to find new things to do with them. They have a few great sites for promoting your work for free.In today's economy you would be surprised ,as to how hand made crafts sell on these sites.I also would love to know cross stitch but wonder if ,I have the patients.

I am into the Martha Stewart show. She has had a lot of crafters on the show. And they sell there hand made things for some high prices. Most of the crafters have there own website. I worked with beads with my daughter . We had a lot of fun together. You do have to have some patients for cross stitch.

My favorite crafty thing to do is make soaps. I just love creating fun colorful and fragrant shapes. I also like to do cardmaking. I like to do them with scraps of paper and stamps as well as do some handdrawn and combination of the two. I would like to get back into sewing stuff, such as little gift bags and maybe pillows and quilts, but my sewing machine has been jammed for over a year and I have not figured out how to get it unjammed.

I have never tried to make soaps that sounds so cool. I am so glad I started this discussion .I am getting so many ideas of new crafts I can start. As for the card making,I have tried to make cards, but my cards all ways end up looking like a small child did the work.So I pretty much gave up.I think I'm going to practice again. Practice does make perfect.

I also like to crochet are sometimes knit something I guess it all depends what I want to make. I have done many blankets, scarfs, purses, and also one sweater. I also like to fix old furniture and make it seem like new or painted really different and there are also times that I like to change the painting in a part of the house just to make a full finished painting in that place. I want to change a lot of the basic painting in the house so I can do a little of the full finish painting in each of the rooms. So far I have done each room of the house but that has been a few years ago so now I am starting again with just one room at a time. So far I have done my baby’s room, living room and the dining room.

Fixing old furniture sound fun.I am not that handy though.I was into painting about a year ago,it was very relaxing to me.But I'm not that good at free hand. And I like to crochet in the winter months for some reason,I'm not to into it in the summer .I all so wish I owned my own home. I would love to put my own personal touches. Landlords only paint the walls white, it is so boring.

Back when i was young i used to really enjoy french-knitting the one where you loop over the last pull down and so on, but i always ended up with lengths and lengths of this rope from the knitting but i didn't know what to do with it and i still don't. Iv'e tried searching on the internet before but i can never find anything related to it, i still have the ropes stored at my mums house, but yeah if anyone knows what i can do with it, their suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

She would make a lot of money there. I wish I was good at making cards. I would like to scrapbook for money. How do you do that?

I like digital book scrapping and cross stitching. I do have finished work at home where I created everybody a wonderful design, from a simple book marker that is made of cross stitch pattern. It was a combination of letters and cartoon characters that I like and I gave it to my mom. I also have fruits and veggies as pattern for my cross stitch. About my Digital Book scrap, well it is really fascinating because I can print out my wonderful decoration and artistic design. I leave the knitting to mom and my auntie. I am not good at that. My auntie does knit a very good bed sheet and matching pillow cases as well as curtains and table mattress cover.
