Opps... The baby did it.

I have another discussion under cooking and had left a screen up while dealing with another child so my baby decided to give away the best response. I usually wait awhile but He thought it needed to be done NOW! Has this ever happened to you... an accidental BR?

I've never made an accidental best response. But obviously the baby thought that it was worthy of a best response. So, was the post that the baby picked as a best response a good one? LOL. Does the baby know something that we don't. How old is the baby? I know that my baby (2.5) likes to try to mess around on my computer and has done things to it that I don't want done but he's never given a best response.

Mine's 2 and just watches us and tries to copy us. He's even typed in an e-mail to a company I was try to work for. That went well. He and his sister got on there and sent it. I think Sister (who is 5 but mental aged 3) hit send. She has been computer able since Rowan's age. But he isn't. She has Autisum and it seemed to aid in her picking it up so easily.

Hope the baby picked a real good one! My daughter finished a post for me once. I recall responding to something quite serious and not about pets of any sort when the phone rang, I got up to find the phone and she decided to type something about a cat and submit. Needless to say my response made no sense and I apologised profusely!

So now you can verify that MyLot is a boost to literacy. Good deal. Get them to read any time and any where you can.

I have done it a time or two. I recall once I was just plain tired, intended to report abuse, then gave a BR instead. I had nothing so charming as a baby to blame it on.I just stayed on too late and got stupid.

I have done the stupid, too tired, or too many meds thing before. I have answered a discussion in the wrong discussion. I have totally missed what the person was asking or saying, answered, and a few hours later went back and read what I wrote and could have sunk into a huge dark hole.

He is just 2. He isn't computer able but they work with him at therapy so made he was looking for that game? I'm not sure.

That is funny, maybe the baby knew something you didn't, anyway No this has never happened to me, I am still trying to figure out how that works, care to share? how often should you make the choice of best response? how do you determine? thank you for your response, have a great day.

I love giving my two cents.... I try to wait about 4 weeks... some people do it after a week... others wait longer. But unless the recent changes MyLot have done something with it, the BR will allow your discussion a second chance for responces. I pick it based on if there was thought put into the answer, if there was back and fourth discussion (even if it was fun), or if it made me feel- laugh, cry, think, whatever. I have a tough time sometimes but really I look for the one that, when I go back through, really struck me.

Of course. I always welcome new faces to my world. I also answer with honest thought... even to the fun discussions. I don't bother to answer things that I'm just not able to put my true thoughts into.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my post, I had two"BR" so far, never really knew what they meant until now, I started a few discussion guess I will go through them and look for the best response, I think that is a cool feature makes a poster want to put a little thought into their post, although I do that all the time,I usually respond to post that means something to me, I don't respond just for the heck of it, thanks again, you sound like fun, can I request your friendship if that is o.k?

Sorry to hear that, I do hope that it was at least worth the best response not a one liner or a few words. I haven't had that happen yet.."knocks on wood" So I am hoping that it doesn't since they are irreversible not matter what. When ever my little sister in here I will put down my work to the bar..but that probably wouldn't have helped.

I wonder why some people decide on BRs so quickly. Now I know.

Note to self: Never leave laptop near Rowan when answering MyLot discussions.

LOL This hasn't happened to me although I have accidentally wrote the wrong responses for a discussion (I had 2 open at the same time that I was responding to..and managed to mix them up! lol). I didn't have anyone around me to blame for that though.. LOL. By the way: why is this discussion tagged with "mature content"? ..Did I miss something?
