How Will It End...

Noah's Ark... - Noah's Ark...

I’ve seen a lot of discussions about the world ending in 2012. Personally, I don’t believe it will but then again I could be wrong. In the Bible it tells of a time when wickedness was so great on the Earth, that God sent a great flood to destroy all living things except Noah and his family on his ark (and the animals he had with them). Some ppl say that it’s simply folklore and never happened, others say there’s scientific proof that it’s happened. For the sake of the discussion, let’s say it did happen and come 2012, the world’s going to be wiped clean again… How do you think He will do it? Do you think it’ll be another flood, despite his promise not to? Or do you think it will be like that Stephen King movie where a super flu wipes everyone out? Or do you think it will be some other way? This isn’t meant to panic anyone, just curious about your thoughts on it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

No ones the time or the hour twoey. No one. They can prophesy all they want but no ones knows. The times have always been fraught with wars and dangers what makes it worse now is the nuclear bombs etc. That will depend literally on which way the wind blows as to who gets killed. Did the flood happen. quite probably as geologists have found salt in the mountain ranges all over the earth and approximately the same level. I don;t know when the earth will end and I have never heard of it ending in 2012. Where did that come from?

I don't think God will wipe us out, I think He will let us wipe ourselves out. We are doing a very good job of it as it is. Or the pole reversal apparently scheduled for 2012 will happen. A natural disaster, leaving very few people alive.

You can read about it here: http://www.universetoday.com/2008/10/03/2012-no-geomagnetic-reversal/ The Mayan calendar says the world will end in 2012 and some people think that pole reversal will be the way it ends--as in, all the people are killed. I don't think the planet will ever disintegrate or anything.

I don't think the world will end in 2012, it's been ending since 1914 from the stuff I've read. If god did decide to destroy the world it couldn't be by flood because that would mean god would have to break the promise he made to Noah saying he would never destroy the earth by flood again. According to the bible the rainbow is the sign that god will keep this promise.

There are signs of evil all over the world and even in our little hometown we are dealing with it. I too have heard the end will come in 2012. I sure hope not because I don't think I will be ready by then. I have a lot of unfinished things to get done and sure they won't be done by then. Anyway possibly some type of weird disease will wipe us out or as someone else posted we may do it to ourselves.

I think people have been predicting the end of the world for a very long time and it hasn't ended yet, but we forget the past very quickly and go on to newer prophecies. There will be floods and earthquakes and also disasters brought about directly human technology, but they won't necessarily trigger the end of the world. We are like ants in the universe, in size that is, for all our sense of self-importance. It would be nice though, if, without any threats of disaster, every human being would just strive to be good and productive and turn away from wickedness out of natural goodness. Some people think then the world would be a boring place, but I think it would be wonderful. Oh, well...

I have no idea either if or when it will end or how it will end. I think global warming will get us before anything. I think we have enough intelligence to stop the other things from happening.

Personally i think that the 2012 is a bunch of bunk...I do not think anyone knows when the world will end....Its all in Gods hands..For years people have been making asumptions about the date , time etc, but in reality no one but God knows...As far as the ones who do not believe about Noah, thats the ones who do not take the Bible seriously...I believe the Bible fully....and i believe the world was distroyed by water except for Noah & his family..When we see the rainbow that is a sign of the promise God made to us , never would he destroy the world by water again...

You need to read the last book in the bibliography called "The Bible." It tells you step by step what we're in for. I don't know when it will happen--for that matter, Christ Himself said He didn't know the hour, only God the Father knows, but all the events described are happening. I know, people have said that before--but they weren't bible scholars, thus their prognostications were doomed to failure. One thing I can tell you is it ain't gonna be pretty, & it ain't gonna be fun. Example: A third of the earth's surface will burn. One thing you can say for sure, the Good Book says plainly that "in the last days, men will call good evil, & evil good." Anyone can tell you how often one hears people now saying things such as, "Cheating on your spouse can SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE!" Or, "Maybe we should let pedophiles alone; after all, they can't help it--they were born that way." Or the ever popular, "Well, I wouldn't do such a (insert horrible thing here), but who am I to judge another person?" People who call those who judge the actions of others "intolerant" are ignorant, & have contributed to the downfall of a once great nation. Oh, yeah. Evil's just another marketable thing, nowadays. And doesn't Hollyweird make it look like such pretty fun, too! "When you see these things come to pass, look up! The end is near, & your salvation is at hand." Watch & pray. This is not a joke. Forgot to add this caution: don't read that book (or any book in the collection) alone. You need a faith-filled Orthodox Bible scholar to understand a lot of it. Even the bible says that its books need to be studied under a knowledgeable teacher. People who fail to follow that rule are quickly led down the wrong path, & worse, feel the need to preach their mistaken ideas to others, thus taking company with them to perdition. I would't worry about it too much. This has being going on for years. There have been so many books written about what year the world will end. Notice how the years keep changing as we survive through each predicted one? Only one person knows how and when this will happen.

You really do make one think, Twoey! I commend you for that If one goes by the Bible, then it surely won't be by flood that the earth would be "wiped clean." I do not think God would break his own convenent with mankind. Fire is one possiblity, and yes, mass disease is another. At the rate the world goes sometimes, I would say it is even more likely that God would just allow mankind to destroy itself! Ack! Karen

Someone else also suggested that he might just let us kill each other off and with all the fighting and violence that isn't all that farfetched. Like you said, fire might be an option or some massive disease. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

There's a promise that he will not flood the earth again. I don't know what will be this time. But come to think of it why worry when there's a God that always there for you. The only matter is your faithfulness to HIM.

hi twoey, i remember last 2000 that it will end up, but see we reach 2009 now.. so for me i don't believe that there is a n exact time, date, year that it will happen.. we just need to be prepared for those things and yes i know and i believe that time will come that he will replenish all things above the world, we see there are lot of crimes happening around and a lot of typhoons coming, there's this earthquakes and tidal waves, there are signs that it is really near.. you can read them in the Bible, and see that it is happening now.. i am ready now, i am not afraid.. better to live happily in heaven with HIM rather that experiencing crisis here.. janebeth.

i don't know about that, but i believe in the end everything that exists in this world will perish. that will come the time of selection, like pulling the grain of wheat must also have pest. and where the wheat differentiated and which pests.

I don't really know. But I am afraid, if and when it happens, it will be by our(mankind) hand and the God will not really "do" it. We are in many respects on the way to doing this now. In the wrong hands, power, and science, and greed could destroy us.

I do not have a clear picture on the way it will be done. The Bible does speak of world wide sickness and people dieing. My main concern is being ready when it does happen. I would pray that everyone will be ready. Have a great day.

I think I watched some kind of program on TV that mention something going to happen on 2012. I'm not sure if it's actually the end of the world. But it has something to do with all the planet in our lunar system will be line up. And since I don't have any experience or expertise on it, I can't say it will be the end of the world. But even in the bible it said, nobody can say exactly when the world going to end anyway. It's abit scary when you think of it, and try not to panic, this life is just one day at the time.

I believe what it says in the Bible..The world will certainly end as we know it.That does not mean that there will not be anyone left on earth. As to when that will happen, only God knows. The Bible also says that it will end with fire, this time.I believe that the end is nearer than a lot of people think.
