Yes, i do have a dictionary on my computer, and I do occasionally use it. I don't always use it. There are times, when I do use an actual dictionary, but there are times, when I don't have one with me and I use the one on my computer, if I have my laptop with me.

No I do not have a dictionary installed on my computer. Let me say that I am a native English speaker. When I need to look up the meaning of the word I type it in the search field of my search engine and add the word meaning. This brings up a number of dictionaries that the word and it. To check the spelling I just type in the word in the search field and the search engine will suggest corrections.

Hi Phillip, I don't have a dictionary installed in my computer but when I need to look up for word meanings I check them online over at The Free Dictionary (thefreedictionary.com) by Farlex. I've also bookmarked the Urban Dictionary (urbandictionary.com) as it's very helpful when I encounter some (new) words that seem "strange" to me. Have a nice day.

Thats a good idea, I love that you are learning new words! I don;t use dictionary, though I do get a little confused by my spell check on my computer sometimes! The reason for this is that I am English and my spell check is American...lol...and so it often tells me I am spelling words wrong and I shout back at my computer that I am spelling it perfectly correctly, thank you very much! I also have the problem that I am a Brit who has lived in the USA for 5 years, and sometimes you will read my posts and find that my spelling, like myspeech is now some weird hybrid mix of England and NEW England! Maybe I should get my Rhode Island husband a dictionary so he can understand me...!

I like the idea that things are becoming so much easier nowadays due to the common pc! However, when it comes to books and things, including dictionarys then I like to hold physical books in my hand! I guess I'm a book worm and I like to flick through the pages of a dictionary when I am seeking out a word. Lots of people like the computer method of looking up words in a dictionary but I have a stock pile of old dictionaries that I still put to good use even though they are starting to gather dust and cause me to cough and choke from time to time. I do have a dictionary in my computer. There is times that I do not need it or use it but I use it especially when I am writing online for whatever reason whether it is an article or an entry. I like to have all my spellings and wording correct when I am writing. A dictionary can be very helpful to many people for many things, it is a source that is always good to have.

Hi Phillip, My favorite is dictionary.com. It will tell you the meaning(s) of any English word. This site also has a companion site which I love even more, especially when I do a lot of online writing. Thesaurus.com is fantastic because if you tell it one word, it will give you multiple synonyms, as well as some antonyms, for that word. When I write frequently, there tends to be the same words being used over and over, so when I have an article that looks to cluttered by one word, I'll go to the thesaurus site to find some words that are different, but have the same meaning. Here on MyLot I don't worry about this as much, but when writing professional articles, it is extremely useful. Enjoy expanding your vocabulary! :)

Hi. I really am not fund of using the dictionary in my computer because I don't have one. In fact, what I use is the web browser to search for words. There are many online dictionary which does not need a software and all you need is a computer and an internet. I just use one search and everything with the word in it appears.
