Hi friends, I remember one of my schoolteacher always use to tell us to plan our time. He gave all of us a 5-year program to work with. I was in 8th or 9th grade that time and I still maintain that 5-year program with me. It’s a very simple thing to do, just take a piece of paper and write down 5 things u want to do or achieve in the next five years. It can be anything from your career to things with your family, or simply pursue a hobby. He told us to keep that list in a safe place and whenever you are feeling down, just have a look at that list and keep fighting again. To be honest I haven’t achieved all that I have planned but it sure has made a lot of difference in my life. It’s like a goal which u have in front of you and it will give you the motivation to get the best out of you. So friends do you set such goals in your life? If not then it’s never too late to start. Trust me it will do a lot of good to you. Cheers, Tutul

Hi tutul, I agree that setting goals is really the right way of achieving anything in life. One has to have ambition and a certain amount of far sightedness to make them work. But in life one may not always be able to get what one wants and after a while if there are many failures it acts as a negative force . I personally have taken life as it came . Of course I too have goals and ambitions but I do not give too much importance to its realisation, because there have been times when the goals have had to be steered in different directions depending on the circumstances. So I am always prepared for the worst , even when I try to do my best lol..

Hi kiran, Wow what a delightful reply! One of the reasons why this site is so good is because people are so honest here. Some people like u are not even hesitant to accept and share their failures in life, which is so practical. I too have failed in life and I will also in the future but there is one thing in me that is I don’t give up easily. Once I have decided to achieve some thing means it has to be achieved. Well may be u can call me a lil stubborn, lol. But yea iam very happy to read your post and certainly learned some thing new in life. Cheers, Tutul

Hi tutul, thanks a lot for your feedback. I think you have the right attitude in not giving up easily. I feel that peole change with age and experience and their attitude and preferences too change. What seemed very important a few years ago seem trivial in later years. Thbat has been my experience in life....All the best and happy mylotting

tutul, have not done this in a long time. I used to list goals when I was in school too but that was a looooooooooong time ago, even longer than you! I have been just raising my kids and not focusing on anything else for ... a long time. But now that the kids are all in school and don't need me as much, I am training to be a travel agent and focusing on myself more. So I really should set some goals for that endeavor and do all I can to reach them!

Hi steph, Thanks for your response. As u wrote u gave all your time in raising your kids iam sure it requires a lot of planning as well. It does not happen over night and surely it needs a lot of thinking. Well as your kids are all grown up now and u have some free time , its the best time to think and do something even more challenging. Travel agent sounds good to me and I wish all the good luck. Cheers, Tutul

You are right tutul! Raising kids did take some planning, except that it's not done too far in advance, it is usually day to day!! thanks for the ego boost.

Hi steph, Thanks for the information . I have a friend who is soon going to be a proud father and he has started saving and planning for his kid. Things have slightly changed and people are more alert and the options have also increased. So may be people dont like to plan day by day anymore. Which is good i guess. Cheers, Tutul

Hi arcidy, Well i am not talking about predictions. Ou teacher told us to set a goal for next 5 years. So u got to set suck goals and have some ambition. Well i believe people should make realistic ambitions and according to their age and income. Too big and unrealistic ambitions wont do any good as far as i think. Ok now good luck with the good paying job and keep your fingers crossed for finding a hot nice lady, . Life is full of surprises and u never know what can happen next. Only hope for the best though. Cheers, Tutul

Hey, No I actually haven't planned for the coming 5 years. I don't really think I would plan that many years ahead because we actually never know what actually will happen, because if something would happen, our plans would be ruined. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hi elite, Hmm.. i have a differant concept on this. If we are not going to plan for our future then there is a chance that we will end up with no direction and no aim in life. Which can be dangerous. What my teacher meant to say is that list for five years will give us the motivation and the strength to fight all odds whenever we are feeling down and out. It has helped me in my life and thus i would say everyone to make one such list and c whether it helps or not. Cheers, Tutul

To tell you the truth, I'm very familiar with your words that my boss always tell us that we should better set a long term, middle term and short term goals. He said that the same as you said. lol. Indeed, I believe in the program though I can't made it so far. Recently, I though about my business, I mean that is my own business not worked as a employee for a big firm, I have to make a plan to real-time remind me. Thank you for your kindly sharing.

Hey, Its never too late to start! Just sit some where in peace and take a piece of paper and pen and write down calmly what r the things u want to achieve in life. Make step by step goals and once u achieve the initial goals u will find the others are getting in line automatically and things are getting easier. Good luck! Cheers, Tutul
