Is anyone watching the current seasons of Top Chef (on Bravo) or Project Runway (now on Lifetime)? I watch them both, although this year Project Runway is more interesting, to me anyway. My favorite designers are Althea and Ra'mon. I also watch the new 30 minute show after Project Runway, which shows what happens with the models. I was actually surprised that it interested me. It makes me root for some of them. Like the model who is married and has a two year old girl. Lifetimetv.com does allow you to watch any episodes you've missed so far this season on their website. As for Top Chef, it is a little more boring than past seasons I think. I like Jennifer, and the two Voltaggio brothers. I cannot stand Mike Isabella, who says way too many sexist things. I usually don't get too many responses when I talk about these two shows. Or I haven't in years past. But hopefully people who watch these shows will find this discussion. Thanks guys!

I watch both shows and have for many years. The brothers are my favorites on Top Chef and I like several women on Project Runway. Its been a quick season for both shows, as I am enjoying them equally.

I couldn't believe Mitchell wasn't eliminated earlier.

The current season of Project Runway is not yet in my country... but the second season Project Runway Philippines is currently being aired in one of the cable channels... i watch it every week... i like the designers but i don't like the judges because they tend to give very critical in a negative way... so i prefer the original Project Runway... As for Top Chef... i have never seen even one episode... it doesn't air here in my country and i wonder why cable channels failed to see its potential here... well... i guess i would just have to wait until they finally think Top Chef will do good here...

It's a shame they don't have Top Chef over there. In the past seasons, I know there have been at least two Filipino contestants. That's how I heard of halo halo. I had no idea what it was until one of those contestants made it.

That's so cool. I didn't know that about the head chef in the White House.

Wow... that is very interesting... and very good news... Filipinos are great chefs... the head Chep in the White House is Filipino... and we are very proud of her... Halo halo is like the most famous summer snack in the Philippines... Halo means Mix in english... so to translate... it literally means Mix Mix... because it is a mixture of different delicious treats that needs to mixed together in crushed ice to get the best result...

I watch both too which is funny because although I appreciate the talent I cannot do either of these things in any way. I could see myself making beautiful dresses. I have ideas about fashion, but I shake too much in my extremities to execute them. As far as food is concerned, I have absolutely no idea what would taste good together, and I must admit that some of stuff they make looks nasty. If I'm going to watch reality shows (which I don't often), I might as well watch the show that actually showcases talent and not ridiculous things like Wifeswap or America's Next Top Model. These are real people doing real things. They're just better at it than most of us. If there was ever a reality show for writers, I would go on it. Although, I think watching someone write would be horribly boring on your T.V. screen.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who looks at America's Next Top Model with disdain.

I like watching Top Chef. I don't watch Project Runway though. I like any kind of cooking show, because as they say you eat with your eyes first before you eat with your mouth. It makes me wonder if the dishes that they do serve in Top Chef are good. =)

Morning, Ambie, sure wished I had something of significance to add here...but living where I live (isolated on an Island), LOL...CABLE TV is about a mile away from me, my alternative is a Satellite Dish (expensive) so I am relegated to about 5 channels that don't carry those shows! But I do get caught up in Survivor, American Idol, Canadian Idol, the Dance shows, etc. One day Cable will make it to my house...til then, it's a good book, on bad TV nites. Cheers!

I like Project Runway but I always forget that it's on. I watch the repeats on the weekends whenever I can. I've seen previews for Top Chef but have never watched it.
