Have you noticed that sometimes you can smell what someone has had for dinner by just walking in their house.I have a room freshner as we eat alot of currys as well as doing fried onions and you can smell the smell of it all around the house so i try to get rid of the smell with a purifier as well as air freshners. What do you do?

I personally love how cooking smells fill a house or cling to clothes. It's very yummy and lovely to walk into a house that smells like food. Especially if it's a baked good like gingerbread or chocolate chip cookies...or stew. Really awesome really -- can't get a house smelling much better than that in my opinion.

Yes, sometimes it does have to be eradicated with room freshener. I usually like it but if it bothers me I do use something to rid the room of the smell.

Hello jj. When we cook in the kitchen, the smell of the dish can be smelt all over in the house. To keep the smell from coming into the other rooms, we use the exhausting fan and close the kitchen door. We have never used any purifier for it.

Hi jugsjugs!I don't think using purifier or air freshners is a good idea.More often it will make your room smell worse when the its smell mix with curry smell.Try to clean your room and let air through it.Good luck!

There have been several occasions where my partner and I have left home after fixing dinner only to come back and get knocked down by the smell of what we had for dinner, except, the second time it didn't smell as good. We've tried to get into the habit of opening our windows to let the air circulate around the apartment. We've also used air fresheners and just really try to make sure this place doesn't just become stale smelling. I've found the best way to quickly freshen up our place is to open the windows. It makes the place smell quite wonderful.

Yes, especially if it is something especially pungent like liver or salmon. When you have something that has strong ordors I prefer to cook it outside. I dont like strong smells in the house.

Sometimes you can still smell cooking smells from the night before when we come down the stairs in the morning, especially if we have cooked with curry, but usually by the afternoon the smells are gone until dinner time again. I remember going to my best friends house in high school it always smelled like garlic and tomatoe sauce in her house. It always kind of made you hungery when ever you were there.
