I am a book lover. I usually buy books of any kind. I find it very interesting to always look for something to read. I already have tons of books here in my room because of frequent buying. Are you also a book lover? How many books do you have so far? What kinds of book do you usually read?

I also am a book lover. I read every night before I go to bed. It just helps me clear my mind and wind down at the end of the day. I like using the trade in book stores, so I just take in the books that I've read and then I can get new books without spending much money. It's great for the big reading fans. I like the mystery adventures. I can kind of lose myself in them and live viacariously through the exciting characters.

Oh trade book stores are great! Here we have Powells. You can actually buy and sell online with them if you are interested. You just type in the isbn numbers of the book you have and they give you an offer of either trade in value that you can use towards new books or money that posts to paypal. Check it out at powells.com. Another online one is cash4books.net - works the same way. Good luck!

I also like to read before going to bed. It's some kind of a stress reliever for me. Trade book stores? i haven't heard of that yet. How I wish there are also book stores like that here wherein i can swap my old books into new ones. It will surely save me a lot.

I've been buying books for most of the last 40 years and as a result, my house now more resembles a library than anything else. I've no idea just how many books I do have, but it's probably more than 2000 - mostly paperbacks but there's a lot of hardbacks as well. A wide range of subjects as well, Science Fiction, general fiction, history, militery history, archaeology and science in general, occult, travel...probably more, but that's all that I can think of at the moment.

Wow! That's a lot! You can already make a library out of that number of books. I'm sure bookworms will have a great time visiting at your place. There's a lot to see in there.

I dont buy books anymore. I have a hard time dealing with all my books when I shifted two years ago. The new house is much smaller than the old house, and I couldn't afford to bring all the books over. Nearly heart-broken to leave all the books behind. Anyway I live within walking distance from the library, so I dont need to buy books. The library opens till late at night, and opens everyday, except public holiday.

Yeah, it's so sad that you have to leave all your books behind. I considered them as one of my precious possessions so I'm sure I will feel bad if that would happen. It's nice for you to live in such a place near a library. You'll be able to save a lot for sure.

haha Lel, I treat it as income tax refund from the government whenever I check out books from the library. I think I read so much, that the government is making a loss. I feel happier to get the most of government. I guess the value of the books I read must be more than ten thousand dollars, since I read an average of a book every other day. Plus some books are coffee table books, very expensive to own.

I'm not picky in choosing what genre to read. Reading is my main hobby ever since I was a kid. And I love it a lot because besides broaden my horizon, it is also very relaxing. I'm a book lover, I have about 100 book with me. I havent read them all yet as I dont have much time. My favorite genre is fantasy. I can't get enough of them. The best fantasy book I've read is "The Famished Road" by Ben Okri. It is an African literature and it's so different compared to all the fantasy book I read.

I don't think that reading makes someone a loser. We gain a lot from reading. So losers are those who dislike it.

That's good for you. You still have a lot on queue. Well, I haven't tried reading three books at the same time. I don't want to mix the stories on my mind. lol =) I make it a point to finish a book in just one seat so that I can proceed to the next if there's any.

I don't know how many books I have, but I think I have at least 150 I like to buy new books, but I can't afford to buy all the books that I want to read, so I use the library a lot. I have two different book shelves. One of them is in my living room and the other one is in the computerroom. I have a lot of guidebooks from different countries, dictionaries and phrasebooks. I also have many books about nursing, psychiatry, psychology, new age and personal development. I like to read to novels and short stories, too, but I usually borrow those books at the library instead of buying them.

Yes, I guess it's more practical to just borrow some books on the library. But sometimes it feels good also to have your own copy so that you can read it again if you wish to.
