Internet connection problem

Our local internet provider Smart cut our internet connection last Saturday even if we paid the bill in advance for the last 2 months. My sister paid the bill in the bank last month and this month. The last payment was not reflect in the bill and also the current payment. Unfortunately last weekend they are no office and last Monday is holiday so smart can't fix the problem regarding the connection. We don't know whose to blame the bank or the smart for not remitting our 2 months payment. My sister told us that Smart going to give us discount in the 12 month. How about you guys did you also encountered this problem?

If i were you go the nearest smart wireless center and bring the receipt of what you had paid from the bank and show them to the smart center.Surely it will be credited if the receipt you brought are valid.but be sure that you have an extra copy in case you encounter the same problem and smart will coordinate to your bank to validate your payment.I just don't know how much time it will take but it's good to visit the smart office or smart wireless center.

Thanks for the responses maybe next time my sister going to pay the bill directly to the smart wireless center or to the bayad center around. Bank is not updated in remitting the payment of the customers my question is why they still offering there services if they are delayed in updating the payment of the the customers. I think they are still liable and they need to improve there services next time.

Actually, Smart Brodband has a 2 types of payments, one is in their Center and in the Bank, when you paid in their office the your payment will be credited automatically, BUT when you paid in the bank their will be a little delay because paying in the bank takes to 1 week after it will be transferred to the main account of smart bro. For example you will pay your account in BDO September 16 and your cut off connection is on September 20 then you paid in the bank that's really possible that you'll be cut off by the network because it would take 1 week (depend on the bank) to reached the payment to smart. But if you paid in the center of their office you wont be reached by he cut off because it was direct paying. I hope I helped you regarding with this. Thanksss

hi!dean is right,i had a smartbro connection before.and i pay directly to the smart wireless center near us and it credited automatically and hassle free.

I am sorry to hear that you have been having internet difficulties. But, at least they are doing something to make it right with you. You stated that they are going to give you a discount in the next 12 months. I hope they give you a discount for every month! You deserve it! I hate it when I am left without internet service. Hey, No this problem has never happened for us. But something similar happened to us, we switched our Internet Providers and still our old Internet Provider would still send us a bill each month, demanding that we pay, even though we stopped using it and switched. Hi there, well i dont use smart as my internet connection anyway, as you said you paid in the bank so i guess its better to pay directly in the smart center. So your payment will be credited directly, anyway goodluck to you and hope you will receive big discount because of this incovenience happened to you, keep on mylotting

hi agvo419 i thinks the fault is the bank maybe the bank is not updated your account to smart i think the teller of the bank is fault of all of this i think she cannot updated in the computer that you are paid in the smart bro the all mistake is from the bank and the teller of the bank. however this is never happen to me, i prefer to paid my bill to the office of my internet provider not to the bank. because i don't like happen like this to me, i suggest to you that pay your internet bill on the office of the smart bro Not or the bank..because of that you cannot encounter problem like this. my internet provider is PLDT my DSL i pay my bill on the office of the PLDT not on the bank. because i don't like happen to me like this i have no trust on the bank. i hope that you pay your bill on the smart office not on the bank. happy mylottings to you?

I've had this problem before and it's not just with my phone bill. It seems that if you pay via bank or remittance centers, it will take them five to eight working days to forward the payment in order to post your payment. But if there was a previous payment, the one that was paid recently should only be the one pending. You can always furnish them a copy of the receipt as proof of payment. For me, it would not be a matter of getting a discount in the next twelve months, but rather the inconvenience of having service interruption over something that is an issue between them and the banks who forward payments. They employ the services of the banks to get payments, knowing that banks will use the money first before they are forwarded. I have learned my lesson and now I don't pay via payment centers or banks. Rather I make sure that I make payments directly even if it means extra legwork and extra time spent just to pay for my bills.

No, I don't know, and I'm sorry to hear of your problems. Many times I have to deal with similar issues, I live in Mexico, and things just go wrong from time to time. It's usually people, at the banks, at the servcie provider, who are not really 'there' when they are doing their job, there's a lack of focus, and it can be pretty cumbersome. I mean, we all make mistakes, but there are places where more mistakes are made than in others. Good Luck with your connection.

hello agv0419, luckily we did not encounter such problem before when we were still using smart broadband connection. what we encountered once in a while was the slow connection or sometimes no connection at all. but not that long though. too bad that they cut your connection. it's really frustrating sometimes especially when you are paying your bill on time not knowing that you will encounter such problem at the end of the day. much more if it is holiday for you can not do anything. but the good news there is that you will have a discount for a year. i guess, next time you better pay your bill directly to the smart office to avoid this problem.

Better subscribe to PLDT... SmartBro s*cks in mny ways! I sued to subscribe to them but they become worse everyday... So I had my connection disconnected and had PLDT instead... But now there's something wrong with PLDT too...

I'm using digitel broadband, it's bundled with a landline. I'm happy with it except for those rare occasions when the line goes off because of typhoon or heavy rains. Digitel always calls to ask if the bill for the month has been received already and so there's no way for me to miss it, which is good because I can be forgetful at times.

I am currently subscribed to SmartBro plan 999. Just a month ago my internet connection was cut. I realized I haven't paid my bill yet and have a balance of almost P2000. I know it's my fault because I forgot to pay for it. But the thing is I am not receiving my monthly bill for several months which made me forget about the payment. I am in the province and my only option is to pay in payment centers. But then they do not accept payments without the bill so it's really impossible for me to have my payment unless I go to the nearby city where wireless centers are located. I reported it to their hot line and told me that according to the courier my bill is always being brought to us. It was indicated on the report that it was being left on the gate which is nearly impossible since there was not a single moment that there is no people in the house to receive it. After that incident of calling to smart, I already received my succeeding bills not on time but earlier. lol =) I'm glad that they really made some actions to my complaint. Billing is the only problem I have with them. In fairness to them, I have nothing against the speed of connection.

i would says since you had paid through another way then a direct payment it is going to take longer for them to recieve the payments lets say about 12 days for the bank to pay them about 12 more days for them to process the payment so thats almost a month of them awaiting a payment. estimate the time lines to see when you should pay your next payment if you are going to do it this way again because alot of business's still dont use Instant payment methods. i'd also suggest after you make a payment to get ahold of a headcourters and let them know you made your payment it is on time but processing is a problem if smart is going to give you a discount then that is amazing customer service ! :)
