Haven't started yet. We Filipinos are said to be celebrating Christmas with the longest period of time. Usually, Filipinos started putting some decorations after All Saint's Day in November 1. Christmas trees are being set up already and Christmas lights are all lit during the night. Christmas celebration doesn't end up on December 26 for us. It will still be extended until January 1 which is new years day. Until this time, Christmas spirit is still felt among the people. Giving of gifts is not yet over and decorations are still there. Usually Filipinos take off these decorations after the Three Kings.

Xanne, really? You start Christmas decorating now? I can't even think about or plan Christmas this far in advance It has always been my intent to have my Christmas shopping done before the beginning of December, but that has never happened yet either. How long do you leave them up? Obviously you leave them up for Christmas, but I meant how long AFTER Christmas is past do you take them down?

We always put the Christmas tree and decorations, and lights up the day after Thanksgiving. It is a nice day to do it because my husband is off of work, and we have left overs to eat, and left over ie to eat. And we can play Christmas music right off of the TV since they start the Christmas music channel around that time. Enjoy your decorations.

We don't start decorating until the month of December or closer to that. I don't remember when it was precisely when I was a kid. My family hasn't decorated in years, atleast my mom's side. As for my dad's side I don't know I'm just getting back in touch with him. My husband and I don't have our own place but I feel sure we won't start until atleast the end of November.

Really ? We have not even got Halloween out of the way. If I went to the store now I would be snowed under with Halloween decorations let alone Christmas ones. I love Christmas but I don't think my Christmas decorations would sit well with my neighbours with all their Halloween decor (which is only a recent thin in the last few years, must be the US influence methinks) Roll on December I say and let the good times roll

decorating for halloween is not really popular here in our country, you could not see a house having some halloween decorations here, some are having halloween party , only costumes but no decorations as well.

We haven't decorated much the last couple years. That's definitely going to be something we're going to try doing. Money has just been so tight I was scared to add to the electric bill. Now that my husband will be going back to work, there's a better chance of this happening.

Hi xannebull! I always say to each his own but I think it's a little too early to start decorating for christmas right now. I usually start decorating around the first of December. I also start sending my christmas cards out about that time. Some people start decorating after Thanksgiving. I think my sister does. They always have the christmas decorations up downtown about this time. Kathy.

I start decorating right after halloween. My thanksgiving comes first if I have anything to decorate with. I also try to incorporate a lot of my thanksgiving in with my Christmas to make it even more cosy and less work for me when all is said and done. I enjoy the decorating. I had stuff for halloween set up the second week of september and it looks great and there is not a lot of decoration setting up yet else where in my neighborhood I'm hopting i can start a new trend.
