Although it's hard to fathom the way which technology allows a blue rabbit to use a computer a certain blue rabbit manages it, until now. Rabbits been computerless now for over a week, apart from one quick blip the other day, which caused the computer to need hospitilisation. The Doctors are confident that the sad patient may yet be revived. So how do I know this when the rabbit can't communicate through the computer.
Yes, the rabbit has also worked out the workings of the telephone too.
So have you ever spoken to a mylotter by telephone having never met them in person, and did it feel strange or natural? All blue rabbit comments welcome too.

Oh so that's where the rabbit is! I had seen that her antics are missing for a few days.
Yes I speak to several Lotters on the phone, some almost daily
I have a super-duper deal with the phone company here. For a very small monthly fee there is an international option - no extra charges at all no matter how long the conversation lasts. This means that as well as phoning my mother in UK and my sister in US I can also phone almost everywhere else too as very few countries are excluded from this option.
The ones I speak with offline are exactly the same as they are on here and I had no reason to doubt that they would not be as we are not talking to fonts or aliens but to REAL people
Even the one that I phoned to order a pizza was just as I had imagined

Hy mys, cheap phone calls. I can never believe the differences between Greece and Italy. Here we have, suprise, the most expensive call charges in Europe, and the cost is so prohibitive I never ring abroad. My only calls are local. JB also had free calls from the UK at the weekends. I did realise she wasn't actually a rabbit but the first time she called was a bit odd as she didn't know what to say, but of course now we can chat away for ages.

Hi voldrox, there's probably lots of pm's tooing and froeing between mylotters before numbers are exchanged, one wouldn't just give that kind of thing out to anyone as who knows what could be on the other end of a username, but I have the safety of being in a remote location whereas some mylotters actually live in the same house.
Would the blue rabbit lift up your call my dear, I fear not. Although your remarks about her looking like a man in her photograph were deleted she did read them first and was insulted as I'm sure you would have been too if someone said your photograph looked like a man. Hence the lack of a photograph of a the rabbit these days.

I wondered what had happened to her. I wonder if she has found that discussion that centred on her non-appearance?
Yes, I have spoken with a myLotter I haven't met. I am Aussie and one of the first friends I met here three years ago lives in England. We talk on the phone quite often. I have met another friend in person and will be meeting another one soon. I wouldn't give my personal details to everyone, but to some of my special on-line friends, yes I would.

A fellow Aussie couple and my hubby and I have met in each other's homes a few times. A mutual internet friend and her husband will be coming from Canada and the six of us will enjoy some fun times together in January.

Hi cloudwater, well the moment I posted this the blue rabbit hopped back out of nowhere and is sitting above your head as we speak.
Now you've got me curious about who is talking to whom and I'm thinking through the Australian contingent to see who you could be meeting, but won't speculate as for all I know you could well be taking a trip back to the UK.

This unusual situation has yet to arise with Me and Mylot..but another online group I was a part of before held a RL Meetup as many of us were from the same area, and we arranged to meet in a location where various interesting fermented juice products were available for rental purposes, and we had several fun hours in each others company as a result! It was good to put a face to a name that we felt we knew quite well despite having never met..

RL=Real Life, although Lager may or may not have been involved in the proceedings!
It was a little odd at first that people You'd never seen before had no barriers when meeting for (mostly) the first time..I was quite new to this group at the time, but had "chatted" online with the others-(it was an IRC group with an Ireland theme)..so some had already encountered others before. It was an enjoyable experience..

Hi ShepherdSpy, you know it doesn't matter how many times I type your user name I always have to stop myself from typing ShepherdSam. Strange.
I am making a stab in the dark here that the RL is possibly real lager. The odd thing about your meeting would probably be thinking someone was someone else so that although you all know each other online the faces may not have matched the images.

Are we talking about that same blue bunny that I threatened to fry or turn into delicious icecream treats a week ago? you said you enjoyed this little bunny hopping all over your discussions. I have never talked over the phone to anyone that I met on the internet but if you really enjoy talking to the blue bunny then by all means....go for it.

Hi sid, well the only time I've seen two blue bunnies around here is when Lamby was playing around and borrowed the avatar for a while. He did that with mine too and a few others, it all looks rather strange when he gives them back afterwards as the resultant comments read completely out of context.
But yes it was the bunny you threatend to fry and she was actually hopping around again last night as soon as I put this up.

I have been wondering where the rabbit was, thanks for explaining. Nope I've never talked to another mylotter but, I would because it would be nice to have a voice with the name.

I think you're right and years ago when my uncle lived over that way, somewhere in England (is it still called that?) there was an awful echo in the phone. Oh and a bad delay, it was little two tin cans with a very long piece of string

Hi scarlet woman, yes the bunny was feeling the loss of hers last week. We are in early storm weather over here and it's always difficult deciding to unplug everything or leave it to chance. It generally hits just the telephone line first but once some lighening blue up the motherboard.

the funny thing was, this incidence it hit the fence, not even the house and it still damaged a bunch of stuff.i think it traveled down an antenna lead that was on the fence at the time backwards.
am i ever glad it didn't actually hit the house!

I hope the blue rabbit gets the PC back soon. And the telephone too..
I think it would be interesting to form real friendships with people from mylot whom we care for and trust. That would definitely complete the term real friendship. But if it's done virtually, it's also very special enough. Both ways are cool, for me..

thea, HOW does blue rabbit do it? You post an item telling us blue rabbit is without a computer, and POOF! - Up pops the blue rabbit. Is there some sort of cosmic energy between the UK and Greece that I am unaware of?
I have never spoken to another Mylotter on the telephone or through personal email, although I would like to. I have received quite a few pm's so that is a good start I suppose.
See ya,
M.

Hi malamar, probably with the time difference I expect. Must so pretty unusual for a computer repair place to say Monday and finish with it earlier, here if they say Monday they neglect to mention which month, which is rather why I'd rather suffer on with blips on mine that part with it to the computer hospital, where they only know 2 phrases, either we'll have to send it to Athens or it needs a new hard drive.
PM's are a good start, and so much more convenient than emails too.

Woah!! Blue Rabbit shows up again! How the heck do you do that????
Wish I was a blue bunny, you are magical to me! But, then again, duh.... I still haven't figured out how to get past the time differences here. Can't do those time changes to save my life, just cannot do it!

I had wondered where the rabbit was. I have never talked with a mylotter by phone. I just feel strange providing contact information to someone I have never met and don't really know. On the computer anyone can be anyone they want to be and we can't tell the difference. All we know is what they tell us. So I try to follow the same advice I give my children and never provide my real name or contact information. I probably miss out on knowing a lot of great people, but if it keeps from knowing even one dangerous person then it's worth it. Tell the rabbit to hurry back soon.

Hi wlee, I really had no idea that was going to happen but the hospital have released the offending machine early.
I know what you mean about the contact information but I suppose the rabbit and I do spend a lot of time pm,ing and it just came up in the middle of a pm that we could actually chat for real as she had free weekend calls. Also we are in different countries which lessens the dangers of one of turning out to be an axe wielder or some such.
My son hasn't made contact with anyone yet on the internet and I do keep an eye on what he does on there. It would be handy if he could learn to type in English though as he doesn't spend as much time writing and spelling English as he should as all his lessons are written in Greek, except for English of course.

In my part of the world the blue bunnies bring ice cream. Yes, I talked with Grandpa Bob before I ever met him, also e mailed him directly, then had a very nice dinner with him where his wife works. I love the people I meet. I hope there is some Halloween magic for the blue rabbit's computer.

Hi Gerty, if you look above you'll see the rabbit came back about two minutes after I posted this, dramatic timing or what. She did say Monday this afternoon, good thing I said nice things. So you've met a fellow mylotter. Must have been fun. I think the nearest one to me must be Sandra in Spain, except she's on her way back to the UK now in the camper van.
You forgot to mention the other mylotter you meet but then I suspect you didn't include him as knew him before mylot

Blue rabbits..Pink Elephants...Ghouls & Goblins...what is this world coming to, when technology is in their grasp?
Yes, thea, I have had two conversations with dear JO, and it was like old friends meeting for a cup o' iced tea (coffee for me)! HUGZ

Hi Shirley, now why did I think you and Jo would have gotten on so well, that must have been nice. You think in this day and age they could put the telephone charges down rather than up. It shows the disparity though when those in the UK and ITaly can make free calls whilst some of us would need a bank loan to pick up the receiver to call abroad.

Hi Thea, I noticed the blue bunny hopping through discussions before I saw yours and thought something was wacky but that seems to be the norm. Good to have her back. I have never spoken to anyone on the phone from myLot (of course I haven't been on myLot for all that long either.) I actually do not enjoy talking on the phone, much prefer writing or emailing.

Hi lina, well as most of my phone calls are from greek speakers I find it rather of a strain as without the eye contact and hand waving it can be difficult to understand, plus they speed up when on the phone. It's a nice change if I actually get to have a chat on the phone in English and the line was clearer than Mr Greek ringing from the mobile.
Wacky is indeed the norm round here but I'm sure there are plenty of unwacky ones out there, you just got picked up by the wacky ones.

But I'm very liking the idea of a chatroom like D mentioned... can2x..when this takes place ever, do keep me in the loop aite, Alice..
