i always go to see what my children are upto when they go quiet as you know they must be upto no good.My boys were very quiet earlier and you could hear a quiet laugh, they were in the bathroom with shaving foam making themselves look like santa. There was alot of mess, but they did look funny,it could have been worse they could have blocked the loo and flooded the bathroom out.

That's funny, and it reminds me of something that happened to my sister a long time ago, when she was a toddler. Mom sensed that she was standing behind her in the kitchen, and without turning around, told her to get her hand out of the cookie jar. My sister asked how she knew, and Mom said "because you were too quiet not to be causing some kind of mischief." LOL

yes...u r right..when children are too silent then u should know that ..it is the signal of forthcoming danger...something wild is going on in their minds and they are using their energy to plan for doing something new...one day my younger son was very quiet and when i saw him after long time...the full fevistick tube (which i use to paste things) was rubbed and they were making masks and airplanes with it and the colored papers i had bought for their project work...

Oh, yes. Children do a lot of "projects", too. We used to have pieces of paper all cut up and scattered on the floor. Then, we had the crayons all over the place. I had a few times done washing of the floor and walls to get the pen and crayon markings out --- not to mention the glossy subscription which were cut and badly damaged, lol. I can only laugh and smile as these come back to my memory now. They are all grown up, 2 are registered nurses and one in college.

Up to no good is right. Take pictures is my best advice. They are only young once and they grow too darned fast. Ya, it could have been worse. Letting them do such things makes for good memories and good moral. Be glad they aren't hateful and insulant little fellows.

Ha ha - that's too funny! That'd make a great holiday card from your family! I, too, look in on my daughter when she is quiet (it's rare that she would be doing a quiet activity). The other day it was too quiet . . . so I looked in her room and she was reading. Well, reading ALL her books . . . which were all off the shelves and in mountainous piles everywhere. She knows she is not supposed to make these mountains, but she always does. Argh!

Sounds like they were having fun. Probably going to be one of those nice memories from childhood. They will remember how much fun it was. Hope you were able to get a picture so you have proof!

I bet they were having a jolly good time getting their do up! I have three kids and they will find everything and anything to get into when given the chance. When they think that I am not watching, they try to get in all kinds of mischief. Kids will be kids, we will just have to let them have fun and keep them safe. I am glad thay they were just shaving and not flooding up the bathroom.

my son is really only quiet when he is sleeping or tired or sad about something. other than that he loves to chat and tell things he is passionate about. he is not a loud child but you are right about being up to no good when it is just too quiet. when he was little i never left him alone in any room to be sure he was safe. as he got older and more capable and i knew i could let him stay up in his room for instance i always went to check when it was too quite. more times than not he was just absorbed in what he was doing and he was not doing anything wrong.

They must have looked real cute with that much shaving cream on them. Yes if kids are very quiet you definitely need to check up on them never know what they could be into.

Hahaha. These things happen. When my children were younger, the three used to be together in all their activities especially that the age gaps are close. Once I sneaked into the room as I noticed they had been missing in the living room for a time. I arrived with the youngest boy already partially trimming the eyelashes on the left eye. The older children were laughing at the sight. My make-up kit was in disarray and I saw the daughter all made up with the broken lipstick on the table.

They are funny and cute. Those naughtiness is really hard to deal with for you don't know whether you will laugh at them or will get mad,for what they did was wrong in the first place... They did not only mess up your bathroom but also waste the shaving foam... At one point, you will see their imaginations are working. Imagine using that product to play like santas... I hope you took pictures of them. It is nice to show them that when they are a bit older...

hi jugsjugs oh yes indeed when they are quiet one runs to find out just why. good that they were only playing Santa. My son once got hold of my pinking shears and was trying to play barber with his little sister. I hear her cry out,no wobbie dont do dat.so i ran into their room and there he was .he had got the scissors caught in her long hair, thank goodness, he had not cut any off yet. he did however shear the fringe off my new towel. Ihad to laugh when I asked him why he did that. momma it was all unraveling so I stopped it. okay.He is now a computer programmer.

hi jj, children tends to get mischievous most of the time. and it is true that you have to check when you find them quiet. boys seems to be more mischievous than girls - hence am happy mine is a daughter. she only gets to wear my high hilled shoes and wear heavy make up when i forget my make up kit and put lipstick on the doll and spray the cologne like its an airspray. but they are so nice to be with.. dont they? ann

Poor kids, not all of them are always up to something wrong when they're silent. lol Anyways, that sounds funny, did you happen to take a picture? True, at least they only played with foam. Hope they didn't try to eat it!
